- Page 4: IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Always use caution when opening the door during or following a wash cycle as hot water or steam may escape. Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot water system that has not been used for two weeks or more. To avoid floor damage and possible mold growth, do not allow wet areas to remain around or under the dishwasher. Before using a dishwasher that is connected to a hot water system that has been unused for two weeks or longer, turn on all hot water faucets and let the water flow from each for several minutes. It is highly recommended for the end user to become familiar with the procedure to shut off the incoming water supply and the procedure to shut off the incoming power supply. To avoid risk of electric shock, only use the appliance in enclosed residential space according to the installation manual. Do not allow children to play in or on the dishwasher. When loading items to be washed, locate sharp items so they are not likely to damage the door seal. Do not wash plastic items unless they are marked dishwasher safe or the equivalent. This product may contain a chemical known to the State of California, which can cause cancer or reproductive harm.
- Page 5: Preventing material damage Harsh chemicals such as bleach-based products can damage your dishwasher. Do not use harsh chemicals such as bleach-based products to clean your dishwasher. Do not use a steam cleaner. So as not to scratch the finish on the appliance, do not use sponges with a rough surface or abrasive cleaning agents. Do not use stainless steel polish on an anti-fingerprint finish or a black stainless finish. When the program ends, let the appliance cool down a bit before opening the door. Protect against freezing to avoid possible damage to the fill valve. Damage caused by freezing is not covered by the warranty. Saving energy If you follow these instructions, your appliance will use less power and water.

- Page 9: Dishwasher cycles overview includes different cycles available on the dishwasher. The running time varies depending on the selected cycle, water temperature, quantity of dishware, and level of dirt. Consumption values relate to normal conditions and water hardness of 16 - 20 °E. Heavy cycle is for washing pots, pans, and non-fragile dishware with stubborn food remnants. Auto cycle is sensor-controlled and optimized based on the soiling of the rinse water. Normal cycle is for cleaning mixed dishware and silverware with lightly dried-on food remnants. Speed 60® cycle is time-optimized for cleaning mixed dishware and silverware. Energy Guide label is based on the Normal soil sensing cycle without rinse aid. Favorite function allows saving a combination of a cycle and an option via the Home Connect app. The unit was tested without any rinse aid and with a single dose of detergent in the dispenser.
- Page 10: You can use the Home Connect app to download additional cycles and options and save them. Arrange cups, glasses, and small tableware items in the top rack. Here is an overview of the different options available on your dishwasher. For a better drying result, the final rinse temperature is increased and the drying phase extended. To ensure a higher hygiene status for the appliance and dishware, the temperature is increased and maintained for an extra-long period. You can adjust the height of the upper rack to make room for larger items. To wash large items in the racks, adjust the shelf height of the upper rack. Only sanitizing cycles have been designed to meet the requirements for soil removal and sanitation efficacy. You can find an overview of the possible features of your appliance and how to use them here. These features depend on your appliance model.
- Page 11: Features Raise or lower the rack evenly to the right level. Arrange the silverware in the silverware basket, ensuring that the items are not nestled together and with the sharp points down. The sharp points and edges of knives and other sharp utensils can cause serious injury. Load knives and other sharp utensils with edges down. Do not allow children to handle or play near knives and sharp utensils. Check that the rack is level on both sides. Arrange pans and plates in the lower rack. Use the cup shelf and the space underneath for small cups and glasses or for large items of silverware. If you do not need the cup shelf, you can fold it down.
- Page 12: Before using for the first time, set the racks at the right height. The appliance height is 34 with the silverware basket. For initial use, configure the settings after the first use or a factory reset. Connect your appliance to a mobile device for convenient settings changes using the Home Connect® app. Add rinse aid before switching on the appliance. Start the program with the highest cleaning temperature without dishware to remove any marks. For optimum drying results, use rinse aid intended for household dishwashers. If rinse aid spills out, remove it from the tub to prevent excessive frothing. If there are streaks or water spots on dishware, adjust the amount of rinse aid. Close the lid of the dispenser for rinse aid after filling.
- Page 13: Detergent To open the appliance settings, press the button for 3 seconds. Find out which detergents are suitable for your appliance. Only use detergents that are made for dishwashers, either basic or combination detergents. For the best washing and drying results, use a separate detergent, then add rinse aid separately. Modern, powerful detergents mainly use a low-alkaline formulation with enzymes. The refill indicator for rinse aid flashes. Tabs are perfect for all cleaning functions and do not need to be measured out. Powder detergent is recommended for shorter cycles. Liquid detergent works faster and is recommended for shorter cycles without a pre-rinse. Do not use a detergent which is not designated for dishwasher use or contains chlorine.
- Page 14: Dishware Close the lid of the detergent dispenser. Information on detergent Follow the instructions on detergents in everyday use. Detergents marked as ecological generally contain lower levels of active agents or none at all. Adjust the rinse aid and the water softening system settings in accordance with the detergent or combination detergent in use. Any rinse aid component of a combination detergent has limited effectiveness. To prevent sticking, only touch detergents in a water-soluble pouch with dry hands. The detergent dispenser will open automatically at the optimum time during the cycle. Only wash dishware that is suitable for dishwashers. Only put glasses and china in the dishwasher if they are labeled dishwasher-safe.
- Page 15: For better washing and drying results, position items with curves or recesses at an angle so water can run off. Use a detergent labeled as gentle to dishes. Highly caustic alkaline or highly acidic cleaning solutions are not safe to use in the dishwasher. Remove large remnants of food from dishware before loading. Do not pre-rinse dishware under running water to save resources. Arrange heavily soiled dishware in the lower rack for better cleaning results. Arrange silverware with the points and sharp edges facing down to avoid injury. Position containers with openings facing down to prevent water collection. Do not block the spray arms to ensure they can turn freely. Avoid loading the dishwasher with paper products or anything other than dishwasher safe dishware.
- Page 16: Dishware Silverware basket Removing dishware Dishes can be very hot immediately after the cycle ends. Open the door slightly and allow dishes to cool for a few minutes before unloading. To prevent water dripping onto dishware, unload it starting at the bottom and working up. Check the washing tank and accessories for soiling and clean if necessary. Recommended loading patterns. Additional loading patterns for 10 place settings.
- Page 17: Basic operation includes setting options to complete the chosen wash program. The available options depend on the selected program. You can delay the start of the wash cycle via the Home Connect® app. The wash cycle has ended when no displays on the controls are lit. Your dishwasher has a built-in feature to help prevent unintentional operation, especially by children. To save energy, the appliance switches off automatically 10 minutes after the end of the wash cycle. The button lock prevents the appliance from being operated accidentally or incorrectly while running. The cycle last selected and the option last selected will be set by default when switching on the appliance. To adjust the wash cycle to the soiling level of the dishware, select a suitable program. You can only change a cycle in progress if you can cancel it first. The button lock remains activated during a power failure.
- Page 18: Basic operation Terminating the wash cycle To end a cycle early or to switch from one that has already started, you will need to cancel it first. Press for approx. 4 seconds. All displays light up. As soon as the displays are off, the residual water is pumped out. The cycle is cancelled and ends after approx. 1 minute. Switching off the appliance To avoid risk of injury, always use caution when opening the door during or following a wash cycle as hot water or steam may escape. Do not fully open the door until water noises have stopped and steam has subsided. Please note the information on preventing material damage. Press On/Off.

- Page 26: Troubleshooting Four vertical LEDs are all flashing. There is a technical issue. If the problem occurs again, contact customer service and give the error code. Dishware is not dry due to no rinse aid used or dosage set too low. Set the amount of rinse aid to be dispensed. Select a wash cycle with drying. Position dishware at an angle where possible. Use rinse aid to improve drying performance. Activate Extra Dry/intensive drying. Wait until the program ends before removing dishware. Silverware not arranged properly can lead to droplets forming.
- Page 27: Troubleshooting Food remnants on dishware may be caused by dishware being placed too close together or the rack being overfilled. Arrange dishware with sufficient space in between to ensure spray jets reach the surfaces. Avoid points of contact to prevent blocking spray arm rotation. Spray arm nozzles may be blocked; clean the spray arms. Dirty filters can affect performance; clean the filters. Filters must be inserted correctly and engaged properly. Select a more intensive wash program if the selected cycle is too light. Only remove large remnants of food and do not pre-rinse dishware to ensure proper cleaning. Tall narrow containers should not be positioned at too great an angle or in corner areas. Ensure the upper rack is set to the same height on both sides for optimal performance.
- Page 28: Troubleshooting Issue Cause and troubleshooting Wipeable or water-soluble coatings may have detergent residue that cannot generally be removed with chemicals. Change your detergent and scrub the appliance by hand. Stubborn white coatings on dishware may also be due to detergent residue. Increase the amount of detergent used or change detergent if too little is being used. Select a more intensive wash program if the selected wash cycle is too light. Tea residue or lipstick marks on dishware may result from dishwashing temperature being too low. Use a suitable detergent and follow the manufacturer's instructions for the amount to be used. Only remove large remnants of food and do not pre-rinse dishware to avoid choosing a lighter cycle. Colored coatings inside the appliance may be due to substances in vegetables or tap water. Plastic parts inside the appliance may become discolored over time but this will not impair functioning.
- Page 29: Troubleshooting There are removable streaks on glasses, glassware with a metallic appearance, and silverware. Items of dishware are blocking the dispenser lid. Dishware has been precleaned too intensively, leading to stubborn remnants. Only remove large remnants of food and do not pre-rinse dishware. Irreversible clouding of glassware can occur if glasses are not dishwasher-proof. Use dishwasher-proof glasses and avoid a lengthy steam phase. Check that the spray arms are not blocked and can rotate freely. Hand soap in the rinse aid dispenser can cause excessive foam. Connection to home network may fail if WLAN on router is not active. Consult the documents supplied for Home Connect if there is a technical error.
