- Page 2: IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS To avoid floor damage and possible mold growth, do not allow wet areas to remain around or under the dishwasher. This Quick Start and Safety Guide explains the basics of operating your dishwasher and those safety measures that must be followed. WARNING: CHILD SAFETY Keep detergents or rinsing agents out of the reach of children. Do not allow children to play in or on the dishwasher. When loading items to be washed, locate sharp items so they are not likely to damage the door seal. WARNING: TIP OVER HAZARD! Dishwasher must be installed immediately and secured with mounting brackets to avoid tip over. WARNING: SAFE OPERATION Use this dishwasher only for its intended function, which is the washing of household dishware and kitchenware rated as dishwasher safe. End of Life Disposal - Remove the dishwasher door to the washing compartment when removing an old dishwasher from service or discarding. RISK OF EXPLOSION - Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot water system that has not been used for two weeks or more. It is highly recommended for the end user to become familiar with the procedure to shut off the incoming water supply and the procedure to shut off the incoming power supply. Detergent will destroy the water softening system! Never pour detergent into the salt dispenser.
- Page 3: Getting started Connect your appliance to the Home Connect app for convenient settings adjustment and additional cycles. Load sharp items pointing down to avoid injury. Use detergent tabs, fresh powdered detergent, or liquid detergent. Always use caution when opening the door during or after a wash cycle due to hot water or steam. This dishwasher is designed to be used with rinse aid for enhanced drying results. After pressing Start, the door must be shut within 4 seconds to avoid operation pause. The amount of rinse aid dispensed can be adjusted in the settings. Remove the lid of the rinse aid bottle for easier pouring. Download the Home Connect app to access the full Use and Care Manual.
- Page 4: Cycles and options are essential features of the dishwasher. Indicators for salt refill, rinse aid, and water tap are present. The machine care option is important for maintenance. Various cycles include heavy, sanitize, auto, and normal. CrystalDry technology provides outstanding drying results. PowerControl allows customization of cleaning intensity. Speed60 offers a quick one-hour cycle with drying. The Home Connect app enables remote start and cycle customization. Users can delay the start of the cycle up to 24 hours. The Energy Guide label is based on the normal cycle without rinse aid.
- Page 5: FAQs Why is food remaining on dishes after I run the cycle? It is possible the dishes do not have adequate clearance between them. Why does the cycle run a long time? Sensors in the dishwasher automatically increase the cycle time to ensure a good wash when heavy soil is detected. Clean the filter 3-12 times a year, depending on usage. Why is E:XX displayed? This is an error code. For example, E:22 indicates there is water in the sump because the filter is blocked or needs cleaning. It is recommended to run the Machine Care program to keep the tub clean. The simplest way to change the settings is with the Home Connect app. Use rinse aid for better drying. Dispenses the amount of rinse aid, which affects drying. Improved drying for glasses and plastic, by increasing the temperature and cycle length. Restores the factory settings on the dishwasher.
- Page 6: Statement of limited product warranty outlines Bosch's liability and responsibility for manufacturer-defective products. Bosch recommends using authorized service providers for repairs to avoid liability for non-authorized repairs. The warranty applies to the original purchaser of the Bosch dishwasher for normal household use. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for 365 days from the original purchase date. Cosmetic defects are covered for 30 days from the date of purchase, excluding certain conditions. The warranty excludes defects not directly caused by Bosch, including misuse and improper installation. BSH provides additional limited warranties, including a 5-year warranty on electronics and dish racks. Lifetime warranty against stainless steel rust through is included, with certain exclusions. BSH is not liable for damage to surrounding property or for products with altered serial numbers. The warranty sets out exclusive remedies and is in lieu of all other warranties, whether express or implied.
