This Quick Start and Safety Guide explains the basics of operating your dishwasher and those safety measures that must be followed. Keep detergents or rinsing agents out of the reach of children. Do not allow children to play in or on the dishwasher. When children become old enough to operate the appliance, it is the responsibility of the parents/legal guardians to ensure the children are instructed in safe practices by qualified persons. WARNING: This indicates that death or serious injuries may occur as a result of non-observance of this warning. CAUTION: This indicates that minor or moderate injuries may occur as a result of non-observance of this warning. Do not operate your dishwasher unless all enclosure panels are in place. Dishwasher must be installed immediately and secured with mounting brackets to avoid tip over. Use this dishwasher only for its intended function, which is the washing of household dishware and kitchenware rated as dishwasher safe.
• Page 3: Getting started - 1st time use Adjusting the water softening system creates optimal washing results by dissolving lime-scale and setting the correct water hardness for the detergent to work best. Ask your water company what the water hardness is or use the included water test strip. Set your dishwasher to the correct setting. Press the ON/OFF button and hold down button A, then press Start until the display indicates H:0. Press buttons B or C to select the desired setting and press Start to save the setting. Add salt to the water softener before the first wash only. Do not place objects in the detergent tray or block it with dishes. Use rinse aid for better drying. Load plates and bowls in the lower rack leaning inward. Load sharp items pointing down to avoid injury.

• Page 5: Add detergent using tabs, fresh powdered detergent, or liquid detergent. For the glass cycle, use 1-1.75 Tbsp. of detergent or detergent tabs with glassware protection. This dishwasher is designed to be used with rinse aid, enhancing drying results and shine. Clean surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap; do not use abrasives or bleach-based cleaners. Clean the filter 3-12 times a year, depending on usage. To start the dishwasher, press the On/Off button, select a cycle, and press Start. Adjust settings by holding down button A and pressing Start until the display shows H:0x or d:0x. Food may be left on dishes if there is inadequate clearance or if the filter is dirty. Sensors may increase cycle time for a good wash when heavy soil is detected. Error codes indicate issues such as a blocked filter; refer to the Use and Care Manual for details.

Warranty exclusions The limited warranty provided by BSH Home Appliances Corporation applies only to the Bosch dishwasher sold to you, the first using purchaser. The warranty coverage excludes all defects or damage that is not the direct fault of Bosch. The warranties apply to the original purchaser of the product and to each succeeding owner during the term of the warranty. BSH warrants that the product is free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 365 days from the date of purchase. This product is also warranted to be free from cosmetic defects for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase. This warranty sets out your exclusive remedies with respect to the product. During this warranty period, Bosch will repair your product without charge if it proves to have been manufactured with a defect. If reasonable attempts to repair the product have been made without success, Bosch will replace your product. No attempt to alter, modify, or amend this warranty shall be effective unless authorized in writing by an officer of BSH.
