- Page 4: Earthing instructions This appliance must be earthed to reduce the risk of electric shock. The appliance is equipped with an earthing conductor plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is earthed according to local codes. Improper connection of the earthing conductor can result in electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician if you are unsure about proper grounding. Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance. Have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician if the plug does not fit. Do not abuse, sit on, or stand on the door or dish rack of the dishwasher. Do not operate the dishwasher unless all enclosure panels are properly in place. Open the door very carefully if the dishwasher is operating to avoid water squirting out.
- Page 5: When loading items to be washed, locate sharp items to avoid damaging the door seal. Knives and other utensils with sharp points must be loaded with their points facing down or placed horizontally. Some dishwasher detergents are strongly alkaline and can be dangerous if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and keep children away from the dishwasher when the door is open. Check that the detergent powder is empty after the wash cycle. Do not wash plastic items unless they are marked dishwasher safe. For unmarked plastic items, check the manufacturer's recommendations. Use only detergent and rinse agents recommended for automatic dishwashers. Never use soap, laundry detergent, or hand washing detergent in your dishwasher. The door should not be left open to reduce the risk of tripping.
- Page 6: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent. During installation, the power supply must not be excessively or dangerously bent or flattened. Do not tamper with controls. The appliance needs to be connected to the main water valve using new hose sets. To save energy, in standby mode, the appliance will switch off automatically after 30 minutes of no operation. Please unplug before cleaning and performing maintenance on the appliance. - Page 12: Preparing and loading dishes Consider buying utensils which are identified as dishwasher-proof. For particular items, select a program with the lowest possible temperature. To prevent damage, do not take glass and cutlery out of the dishwasher immediately after the program has ended. Cutlery with wooden, horn china or mother-of-pearl handles are not suitable. Plastic items that are not heat resistant are not suitable. Some types of glasses can become dull after a large number of washes. Recommendations for loading the dishwasher include scraping off any large amounts of leftover food. For best performance of the dishwasher, follow loading guidelines. Items such as cups, glasses, pots/pans, etc. should be faced downwards.
- Page 13: Load hollow items with the opening facing downwards to prevent water collection. Dishes and items of cutlery must not lie inside one another or cover each other. To avoid damage, glasses should not touch one another. The upper basket is designed for delicate and lighter dishware. Long bladed knives stored upright are a potential hazard. Long and sharp items of cutlery must be positioned horizontally in the upper basket. Do not overload your dishwasher for good results and energy consumption. Very small items should not be washed in the dishwasher. Empty the lower basket first to prevent water dripping from the upper basket. Items will be hot; do not remove glass and cutlery for around 15 minutes after the program ends.
- Page 14: Loading the upper basket is designed for delicate and lighter dishware such as glasses, coffee and tea cups, and saucers. Position dishes and cookware to avoid movement by the spray of water. The lower basket should hold large and difficult-to-clean items like pots, pans, lids, and serving dishes. Place serving dishes and lids on the side to avoid blocking the top spray arm. The maximum diameter for plates in front of the detergent dispenser is 19 cm to ensure it can open properly. Cutlery should be placed separately in the cutlery rack, ensuring utensils do not nest together to avoid poor performance. Always load sharp utensils with the sharp point down. Do not let any item extend through the bottom. For the best washing effect, refer to page 35 Loading the baskets according to AS/NZS 2007.1.
- Page 15: Function of the rinse aid and detergent The rinse aid is released during the final rinse to prevent water from forming droplets on your dishes, which can leave spots and streaks. It also improves drying by allowing water to roll off the dishes. Your dishwasher is designed to use liquid rinse aids. WARNING Only use branded rinse aid for dishwasher. Never fill the rinse aid dispenser with any other substances. This would damage the appliance. When to refill the rinse aid dispenser You can estimate the amount from the color of the optical level indicator located next to the cap. You should never let the rinse aid level be less than 1/4 full. Function of detergent The chemical ingredients that compose the detergent are necessary to remove, crush and dispense all dirt out of the dishwasher. Use only detergent specifically made for dishwashers. Dishwasher detergent is corrosive! Keep dishwasher detergent out of the reach of children.
- Page 16: Filling the rinse aid reservoir involves opening the dispenser by turning the cap to the open arrow and lifting it out. Carefully pour in the rinse aid into its dispenser, avoiding overflow. Clean up any spilled rinse aid with an absorbent cloth to prevent excessive foaming during the next wash. Replace the cap by aligning it with the open arrow and turning it to the closed arrow. The rinse aid reservoir has six settings, with the recommended and factory setting being 4. If dishes are not drying properly or are spotted, adjust the dial to a higher number until dishes are spot-free. Reduce the setting if there are sticky whitish stains on dishes or a bluish film on glassware or knife blades.
- Page 17: Filling the detergent dispenser involves several steps. Press the release catch on the detergent dispenser to open the cover. Add detergent into the larger cavity for the main wash cycle. For more heavily soiled wash loads, also add some detergent into the smaller cavity for the pre-wash cycle. Close the cover and press on it until it locks into place. Be aware that depending on the soiling of water, settings may be different. Please observe the manufacturer's recommendations on the detergent packaging.
- Page 18: Basket used tips The height of the upper basket can be easily adjusted to accommodate taller dishes in either the upper or lower basket. To adjust the height of the upper rack, follow these steps: Remove the upper basket. Pull out the upper basket. Push in the upper basket. Re-attach the upper basket to upper or lower rollers.
- Page 19: Folding back the cup shelves allows for taller items in the upper basket. The cup rack can be raised upwards or removed when not in use. Folding back the rack shelves provides flexibility for larger items. The spikes of the lower basket hold plates and platters. The spikes can be lowered to create more space for large items.
- Page 20: Programming the dishwasher Wash cycle table The table shows which programs are best for the levels of food residue and how much detergent is needed. Description of cycle Energy (Kwh) Water (L) Running time (min) Detergent Pre/Main rinse aid Program Intensive Heavy Glass 90 Min Rapid
- Page 21: Starting a cycle wash involves several steps including loading the dishes into the baskets and pouring in detergent. It is recommended to load the lower basket first, then the upper one. Ensure that the power supply is connected and the water supply is turned on to full pressure. Close the door and press the power button to switch on the machine. Choose a program and press the Start/Pause button to begin the cycle. A wash cycle can only be changed if it has been running for a short time. If the detergent has already been released, the dishwasher needs to be reset and the detergent dispenser refilled. To reset the dishwasher, pause the washing by pressing the Start/Pause button. Press the Program button for more than 3 seconds to cancel the current program. Select the desired program and press the Start/Pause button to restart the dishwasher.
- Page 22: Forget to add a dish can be addressed before the detergent dispenser opens. Press the Start/Pause button to pause the washing. Wait 5 seconds then open the door. Add the forgotten dishes. Close the door. Press the Start/Pause button after 10 seconds to restart the dishwasher. It is dangerous to open the door mid-cycle, as hot steam may scald you.
- Page 23: Maintenance and cleaning External care Clean the door seals regularly with a soft damp cloth to remove food deposits. Food and drink residues may drip onto the sides of the dishwasher door. Any deposits should be wiped off before the door is closed. If cleaning is required, the control panel should be wiped with a soft damp cloth only. To avoid penetration of water into the door lock and electrical components, do not use a spray cleaner of any kind. Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on the outer surfaces. The filtering system in the base of the wash cabinet retains coarse debris from the washing cycle. Check the condition of the filters regularly and clean them if necessary under running water. Pictures are only for reference; different models of the filtering system and spray arms may be different.
- Page 24: Coarse filter Main filter Fine filter Hold the coarse filter and rotate it anticlockwise to unlock the filter. Lift the filter upwards and out of the dishwasher. The fine filter can be pulled off the bottom of the filter assembly. Larger food remnants can be cleaned by rinsing the filter under running water. Reassemble the filters in the reverse order of the disassembly. For a more thorough clean, use a soft cleaning brush. Do not over tighten the filters. Never use the dishwasher without filters in place. Improper replacement of the filter may reduce the performance level of the appliance.
- Page 25: Spray arms need to be cleaned regularly to prevent clogging from hard water chemicals. To clean the spray arms, follow specific instructions. To remove the upper spray arm, hold the nut in the center still and rotate the spray arm counterclockwise. To remove the lower spray arm, pull it out upward. Wash the arms in soapy warm water and use a soft brush to clean the jets. Replace the spray arms after rinsing them thoroughly.
- Page 26: Caring for the dishwasher includes taking frost protection measures in winter. After every wash, cut off the electrical power, turn off the water supply, and disconnect the water inlet pipe. Drain the water from the inlet pipe and water valve, and remove the filter at the bottom of the tub to soak up water in the sump. Leave the door slightly open after every wash to prevent moisture and odors from being trapped inside. Always remove the plug from the socket before cleaning or performing maintenance. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning products on the exterior and rubber parts; use a cloth with warm soapy water instead. For interior spots or stains, use a cloth dampened with water and vinegar or a cleaning product made for dishwashers. When not in use for a long time, run a wash cycle with the dishwasher empty, then remove the plug and leave the door slightly open. If the appliance must be moved, keep it in a vertical position if possible. Periodic cleaning of the seals with a damp sponge will help prevent odors from forming.
- Page 27: Installation instruction Electrical shock hazard Disconnect electrical power before installing dishwasher. The installation of the pipes and electrical equipment should be done by professionals. Do not use an extension cord or an adapter plug with this appliance. Do not cut or remove the earthing connection from the power cord. Please look at the rating label to know the rating voltage and connect the dishwasher to the appropriate power supply. Use the required fuse 10A/13A/16A, time delay fuse or circuit breaker recommended. Ensure the voltage and frequency of the power corresponds to those on the rating plate. Only insert the plug into an electrical socket which is earthed properly.
- Page 28: Position the appliance in the desired location with the back against the wall and sides along adjacent cabinets or walls. The dishwasher is equipped with water supply and drain hoses that can be positioned to the right or left for proper installation. The height of the dishwasher can be adjusted by screwing the feet for levelling. The appliance should not be inclined more than 2 degrees. Connect the cold water supply hose to a threaded 3/4-inch connector and ensure it is fastened tightly. If the water pipes are new or unused for an extended period, let the water run to ensure it is clear. This precaution helps avoid the risk of the water inlet being blocked and damaging the appliance. Only apply these instructions to the free-standing dishwasher.
- Page 29: Connection of drain hoses requires inserting the hose into a drain pipe with a minimum diameter of 4 cm or letting it run into the sink. The height of the drain pipe must be less than 1000mm. The free end of the hose must not be immersed in water to avoid backflow. Securely fix the drain hose in either position A or position B. If the sink is 1000mm higher from the floor, excess water in hoses cannot be drained directly into the sink. It will be necessary to drain excess water into a bowl or suitable container held outside and lower than the sink. Ensure that the water drain hose is correctly fitted to avoid leaks and is not kinked or squashed. If an extension hose is needed, use a similar drain hose that is no longer than 4 meters to maintain cleaning effectiveness. The waste connection must be at a height less than 100 cm from the bottom of the dish, and the water drain hose should be fixed.
- Page 30: Troubleshooting tips can help avoid unnecessary service calls. Check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker if the dishwasher doesn't start. Ensure the power supply is turned on and the dishwasher door is securely closed. Verify that the power cord is properly plugged into the wall socket. Low water pressure may be due to improper connection or the water supply being turned off. Make sure the dishwasher door is properly closed and latched. Inspect the drain hose for twists or traps that could impede drainage. A clogged filter can prevent water from being pumped out of the dishwasher. Check the kitchen sink for clogs, as this may require a plumber. Use only special dishwasher detergent to avoid suds; if suds occur, follow specific steps to resolve the issue.
- Page 31: Problem: Spilled rinse-aid. Always wipe up rinse-aid spills immediately. Stained tub interior: Detergent with colourant may have been used. Make sure that the detergent has no colourant. White film on inside surface: Hard water minerals. To clean the interior, use a damp sponge with dishwasher detergent and wear rubber gloves. There are rust stains on cutlery: The affected items are not corrosion resistant. The items should be corrosion resistant. A spray arm is knocking against an item in a basket. Interrupt the program and rearrange the items which are obstructing the spray arm. Rattling noise in the dishwasher: Items of crockery are loose in the dishwasher. Interrupt the program and rearrange the items of crockery. Knocking noise in the water pipes: This may be caused by on-site installation or the cross-section of the piping. This has no influence on the dishwasher function. The dishes are not clean: The dishes were not loaded correctly. See notes in Loading & unloading your dishwasher. The program was not powerful enough. Select a more intensive program. Not enough detergent was dispensed. Use more detergent, or change your detergent.
- Page 32: Problem: The filter combination is not clean or is not correctly fitted in the base of the wash cabinet. Possible Causes: This may cause the spray arm jets to get blocked. What To Do: Clean and/or fit the filter correctly. Clean the spray arm jets. The dishes are not clean due to a combination of soft water and too much detergent. What To Do: Use less detergent if you have soft water and select a shorter cycle to wash the glassware. Cloudiness on glassware may be caused by aluminium utensils rubbing against dishes. What To Do: Use a mild abrasive cleaner to eliminate those marks. Black or grey marks on dishes can occur if dishes are blocked. What To Do: Re-load the dishes properly. The dishes aren't drying due to improper loading or too little rinse-aid. What To Do: Load the dishwasher as suggested and increase the amount of rinse-aid. Dishes are removed too soon after washing. What To Do: Open the door slightly to let steam escape and unload the lower basket first. Wrong program has been selected, affecting cleaning performance. What To Do: Choose a program with a long washing time. Use of cutlery with a low-quality coating can make water drainage more difficult.
- Page 33: Error codes indicate malfunctions in the dishwasher. The Rapid light flickers fleetly when faucets are not opened, water intake is restricted, or water pressure is too low. Longer inlet time may be a cause for the Rapid light flickering. The Rapid and 90 Min light flicker fleetly when the required temperature is not reached. Malfunction of the heating element can cause the Rapid and 90 Min light to flicker. Some elements of the dishwasher may leak, leading to the same issue. The Glass light flickers fleetly in case of an overflow. If overflow occurs, turn off the main water supply before calling for service. Water in the base pan due to an overfill or small leak should be removed before restarting the dishwasher.
