Do not operate the appliance if damaged, malfunctioning, partially disassembled, or if it has missing or broken parts. To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or injury to persons, the installer must ensure that the dishwasher is completely enclosed at the time of installation.
  • Page 4: Dishwasher must be secured to adjacent cabinetry using the brackets provided. The dishwasher drain hose must be installed with a drain loop at least 28” off the cabinet floor; otherwise, the dishwasher may not drain properly. This dishwasher is intended for residential use only and should not be used in commercial establishments. If the dishwasher is a new installation, most of the work must be done before the dishwasher is moved into place. If the dishwasher is replacing another dishwasher, check the existing dishwasher connections for compatibility with the new dishwasher, and replace parts as necessary. Connect to a properly rated, protected, and sized power supply circuit to avoid electrical overload. Do not use any extension cord or portable outlet device to connect the dishwasher to a power supply. After unpacking the dishwasher and prior to installation, thoroughly inspect the dishwasher for possible freight or cosmetic damage. Ensure that any plastic wrappings, bags, small pieces etc. are disposed of safely and kept out of the reach of children. Cosmetic defects must be reported within 10 days of installation.

Materials which may be needed include a hot water supply line, which should be a minimum of 3/8” O.D. copper tubing or metal braided dishwasher supply line. An elbow with 3/4” FHT for the dishwasher side is required, sized to fit your water supply line. The dishwasher connection is 3/4 male. A UL listed conduit connector or strain relief is necessary. Teflon tape or other pipe thread compound is needed to seal plumbing connections. A shut-off valve and fittings appropriate for the hot water supply line are required. Silicone glue may be needed. A dishwasher discharge hose adaptor is also necessary.
  • Page 6: Materials supplied include various parts for the dishwasher, which come in several plastic bags. Check the parts bags to ensure all items are present as listed. The manual bag contains the user manual and installation manual. The dishwasher parts bag includes side trim strips for both left and right sides. Additional parts include screws, mounting brackets, toe kick brackets, and a custom door plug. A template and hook and loop fastener are also included in the parts. Steam protection foil is part of the supplied materials. Ensure to verify all parts upon receipt. The dishwasher can accept a wooden kitchen door in select models. Parts are attached to the rear of the dishwasher.
  • Page 7: Dishwasher specifications include technical features such as permissible water pressure, electrical connection, and total power. Permissible water pressure ranges from 4.35 to 145 psi (0.3 to 10 bars). The electrical connection is 120 V (volts), 12 A (amps), 60 Hz (hertz). Total power consumption is 1400 W (watts). • Page 9: Steam protection foil is necessary to prevent steam from collecting on the underside of the countertop when the dishwasher door is opened. Before applying the steam protection foil, clean the area with a damp cloth. The steam protection foil should be applied where hot steam escapes when the door is first opened. Failure to install the steam protection foil can lead to damage to the cabinets and countertop.
  • Page 10: Installing the side plugs involves placing 4 spacers into the openings on each side of the dishwasher. The side trim may require notches to be cut if they are not pre-existing. Measure and cut notches to match side plug locations before installation. Ensure the correct side of the trim is used, with the flexible material facing forward. Remove the adhesive tape before placing the trim strips. Align the notches of the trim strips with the side plugs during installation.
  • Page 11: Connecting the water line Preparing the water connection Install an easily accessible shut-off valve in the water supply line. All solder connections must be made before the water line is connected to the dishwasher’s water inlet valve. Check with your plumbing supply sources for the proper hose and elbow and necessary fittings for the water supply line. Installation should be performed by a qualified installer. If the dishwasher is installed in a location that experiences freezing temperatures, you must drain all the water from the dishwasher’s interior. Water supply may be connected to the dishwasher in one of two ways: with metal braided hose or with copper tubing. Use minimum 3/8” O.D. copper tubing or metal braided dishwasher supply line for hot water supply line. There should not be any sharp bends in the water line that may restrict the water flow. After connections are made, turn on the water supply to check for leaks.
  • Page 12: Adjust the height of the enclosure if it is between 33 7/8” to 35 7/8” (861 mm - 911 mm). Adjust the front foot level by hand to balance and raise the dishwasher to the enclosure height. Adjust the rear foot level with a screwdriver to balance and raise the dishwasher to the enclosure height. Ensure the dishwasher is plumb and can be placed under the counter with approximately 3/32” (2 mm) of clearance. Turning the screwdriver in the direction of the black arrows will raise the rear feet, causing the dishwasher to go down in the back. Turning the screwdriver in the direction of the white arrows will lower the rear feet, causing the dishwasher to go up in the back. Place the dishwasher into the opening and prepare to connect all hoses and electrical connections. Make sure all hoses are pulled through the side opening of the cabinet, no hoses are kinked, and all slack is taken out.

  • Page 14: If there is a handle, attach as shown. Open the tape as shown and stick it on the door.
  • Page 15: Installing the custom door involves opening the adhesive on the top surface of the tape. Place the wheels attached to the custom panel on the product door. Position the custom panel by sliding the wheels down and press to let the adhesive strips stick. Securing the custom door requires removing the fifth plug from the top. Secure the custom panel to the product through hole 5 with the supplied screws.
  • Page 16: Securing to the cabinetry Readjusting foot levels Now that the dishwasher is in the cabinet, you must readjust the feet to bring the dishwasher up to the required height and attach it underneath the countertop. Readjust the front foot levels with an adjusting wrench to balance the dishwasher and raise it up under the countertop, making sure the unit is level. Readjust the rear foot levels with a screwdriver to balance the dishwasher and raise it to the required height using the brackets supplied. Attach the dishwasher underneath the countertop with the four screws supplied. Make sure you do not go through the top of the countertop or damage granite. Securing with mounting brackets If your counter is wooden, fix the mounting brackets under the counter with the screws supplied.
  • Page 17: Securing the dishwasher to the counter can be done using mounting brackets. If the design of the cabinet or countertop prevents this, an alternative method is to use 4 screws through the side into the cabinet.
  • Page 18: Drain hose connection, water supply & electrical connections Connect the drain hose to the drain plumbing. Use the supplied rubber connection hose and drain hose clamps to connect the dishwasher drain hose to the plumbing drain connection. Use the spring clamp to secure the rubber connection hose to the dishwasher drain hose. The dishwasher drain hose may be connected to the drain plumbing in one of three ways. Either one of the methods below must be used or the dishwasher will not operate properly. A hose that attaches to a sink spray can burst if it is installed on the same water line as the dishwasher. The total length of the drain hose is 7' (1950mm). If a hose extension is required, a drainage hose of equal quality must be used. The maximum length must not exceed 157 ½” (4000mm). Otherwise, the cleaning process is negatively influenced.
  • Page 19: Drain installations under the sink require a Y-branch tail pipe. A loop must be added at least 28” above the floor of the cabinet to prevent waste water issues. Installing an air gap may be necessary depending on local ordinances. It is important to check local ordinances for the type of air gap required. When installing with a disposal, remove the drain connection plug before attaching the drain hose. Every disposal has a hookup for a dishwasher; consult the disposer manual for correct connection.

  • Page 21: electrical connection make sure the voltage and frequency listed on the data plate correspond with the household electrical supply. improper connection of the equipment can result in a risk of electric shock. consult a qualified electrician if in doubt. only connect the dishwasher to the main electrical supply when all installation and plumbing work is complete. do not use any extension cord or portable outlet device to connect the dishwasher to a power supply. the power-supply receptacle for the appliance shall be installed in a cabinet or on a wall adjacent to the undercounter space. this appliance must be grounded. grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for electric current. the plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. this appliance must be connected to a grounded metal, permanent wiring system.
  • Page 22: Final installation Installing the toe kick insulation and toe kick Attach the toe kick to the dishwasher after installation. The two-piece toe kick can be adjusted to the height and depth needed for your kitchen. Use the slotted toe kick in the front and the other behind it. Insert the toe kick brackets all the way in on both sides and lock them in place by sliding the black lever up. Remove the perforated cutouts from both pieces of insulation. Remove backing from adhesive strip on the gray felt piece.
  • Page 23: Apply gray cotton insulation to the metal panel below the door, ensuring the toe kick brackets come through the cutouts, and the felt touches the floor. Remove the backing from the adhesive strip on the insulation that is already attached to the bottom of the dishwasher door. Attach the top of the black mastic piece to the adhesive strip with the cutout sections on the bottom. Ensure it is smooth and secure along the entire length of the strip. Place the toe kick over the brackets and lock it in place by twisting the knobs to the lock position. Final results.
  • Page 24: Adjusting the kick plate involves checking if the bottom of the door hits the kitchen cabinet base. If it does, cut the necessary section out of the base and apply silicone or sealant to prevent moisture absorption. The drain hose must be installed with a 28 (710mm) high drain loop for proper drainage. If connected to a garbage disposal, the drain hopper plug must be removed. The installer checklist includes ensuring the dishwasher is square and level, securely fastened to cabinetry, and that the spray arms rotate freely. The rinse cycle should be run, and the water level must be below the filter screen after the wash program. The dishwasher door should open and close freely without hitting cabinetry or countertops. The inlet water supply must be turned on and checked for leaks, and the drain hose should be connected and checked for leaks, with no kinks or obstructions present.
