  • Page 30: Care & cleaning No solvents or abrasive cleaning products should be used on the dishwasher. To clean the exterior and rubber parts, use a cloth with warm soapy water. For spots or stains inside, use a cloth dampened with water and a little vinegar or a dishwasher-specific cleaning product. Frost protection measures should be taken in winter. After running wash cycles, cut off the electrical power to the dishwasher. When not in use for a long time, turn off the water supply and disconnect the inlet pipe. Run a wash cycle with the dishwasher empty, then unplug it and leave the door slightly open. After every wash, turn off the water supply and leave the door slightly open to prevent odors. • Page 32: Trouble shooting Possible causes What to do Stain tub interior Make sure that the detergent has no colourant. To clean the interior, use a damp sponge with dishwasher detergent and wear rubber gloves. Never use any other cleaner than dishwasher detergent. Hard water minerals may cause rust stains on cutlery. Interrupt the program and rearrange the items which are obstructing the spray arm. Knocking noise may occur if a spray arm is knocking against an item in a basket. Rattling noise may be caused by items of crockery being loose in the dishwasher. The dishes are not clean if they were not loaded correctly. Use more detergent or change your detergent if not enough was dispensed.
  • Page 33: Trouble shooting Detergent left in the dispenser can be caused by dishes blocking it. Re-load the dishes properly. Dishes aren’t drying due to improper loading. Load the dishwasher as suggested in the directions. Too little rinse-aid can affect drying. Increase the amount of rinse-aid or refill the rinse-aid dispenser. Dishes removed too soon can lead to moisture. Do not empty your dishwasher immediately after washing. Open the door slightly to let steam escape. Take out the dishes once the inside temperature is safe to touch. Unload the lower basket first to prevent water from the upper basket. Choosing the wrong program can decrease cleaning performance. A short program may not wash effectively. Water drainage can be more difficult with certain cutlery. Items with a low-quality coating are not suitable for washing in the dishwasher.
