• Page 4: IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Do not use harsh chemicals such as bleach-based products to clean your dishwasher. Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot water system that has not been used for two weeks or more. Before using a dishwasher that is connected to a hot water system that has been unused for two weeks or longer, turn on all hot water faucets and let the water flow from each for several minutes. Always use caution when opening the door during or following a wash cycle as hot water or steam may escape. To avoid floor damage and possible mold growth, do not allow wet areas to remain around or under the dishwasher. Only use the appliance in enclosed residential space according to the installation manual. Never expose the appliance to intense heat or humidity. The blow opening of the Zeolith container becomes hot and can cause burns. Do not allow children to play in or on the dishwasher. This product may contain a chemical known to the State of California, which can cause cancer or reproductive harm.
• Page 5: Preventing material damage To avoid impairing Zeolith drying performance, do not position dishware parts directly in front of the intake opening or the blow opening of the Zeolith container. Harsh chemicals such as bleach-based products can damage your dishwasher. Do not use harsh chemicals such as bleach-based products to clean your dishwasher. The AquaSensor is an optical measuring device that measures the turbidity of the washing water. You can save water with the AquaSensor. The sensors adjust the cycle sequence and strength in the Auto cycles depending on the level and type of soiling. If you follow these instructions, your appliance will use less power and water. The Normal program is energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. Zeolith drying automatically helps to save energy. • Page 9: Dishwasher cycles overview includes different cycles available on the dishwasher. Running time varies depending on the selected cycle, water temperature, quantity of dishware, level of dirt, and options selected. Consumption values relate to normal conditions and a water hardness of 16 - 20 °E. Heavy cycle is for washing pots, pans, non-fragile dishware, and silverware, focusing on removing stubborn food remnants. Auto cycle is sensor-controlled and optimized based on the soiling of the rinse water. Normal cycle is designed for cleaning mixed dishware and silverware, effective for lightly dried-on food remnants. Speed 60® cycle is a time-optimized option for cleaning mixed dishware and silverware. Energy Guide label is based on the Normal soil sensing cycle. Testing was conducted without rinse aid and with a single dose of detergent. Dish loads should be set according to the energy certification test for optimal results.
• Page 10: Here is an overview of the different options available on your dishwasher. Crystal Dry technology thoroughly dries dishes and plastics, transforming moisture into heat to achieve 60% drier results. Sanitize option is suitable for cleaning chopping boards or baby bottles and improves the hygiene status of the appliance. The lower spray arm provides intensive cleaning for dishware in the front of the lower rack. With the Favorite function, you can save a combination of a cycle and an option. You can save the selected cycle and option combination via the Home Connect app or on the appliance. The run time is extended when using the Favorite function. Using the Home Connect app, you can download additional cycles and options and save them. The lower spray arm also provides intensive cleaning for dishware in the back of the lower rack. This intensive cleaning may increase water and energy consumption. To save a favorite on the appliance, press the cycle button, select options, and hold the Favorite button for 3 seconds.
• Page 11: Features Press in the right and left hand levers on the outside of the rack. Maximum 3 light wash zones recommended. The settings made for this function remain saved until you redefine the zones in the bottom basket via the Home Connect® app. If you do not specify any zone via the Home Connect® app, all 4 zones in the lower rack will then be activated with the lower spray arm for efficient and intensive cleaning. Concerning dishware sanitation, be aware of the following. Only sanitizing cycles have been designed to meet the requirements for soil removal and sanitation efficacy. Arrange cups, glasses, and small tableware items in the top rack. You can adjust the height of the upper rack to make room for larger items.
• Page 12: Features Lower rack Arrange pans and plates in the lower rack. Silverware drawer Arrange silverware in the silverware drawer. Silverware basket Arrange the silverware in the silverware basket, ensuring that the items are not nestled together and with the sharp points down. Reorganizing the silverware drawer Fold down the side shelves and front tines to provide more space for longer or wider cutlery items. WARNING The sharp points and edges of knives and other sharp utensils can cause serious injury. Load knives and other sharp utensils with edges down. Do not allow children to handle or play near knives and sharp utensils.
• Page 13: Features To fold down the front tines, push the lever forward. Use the cup shelf and the space underneath for small cups and glasses or for large items of silverware. If you want to return the cutlery tray to its original position, fold the side shelf upward until it clicks into position. If you do not need the cup shelf, you can fold it down. Use the flip tines to position dishware securely, e.g. plates. You can fold the tines down to arrange pans, bowls and glasses better. If you do not need the tines, fold them down.
• Page 14: Before using for the first time To use the tines again, fold them back up. Push the lever forward and fold down the tines. The tines click into position. Set the racks at the right height. If you remove the 3rd rack, you can place large items of dishware in the lower rack. To remove any marks from water or other residues, operate the appliance without dishware before using it for the first time. Before the first use, or after a factory reset, you will need to configure the settings. For optimum drying results, use rinse aid. Only use rinse aid intended for household dishwashers. Connect your appliance to a mobile device to conveniently change all settings using the Home Connect® app.
• Page 15: Press the catch on the lid of the dispenser for rinse aid and lift. If you choose not to use rinse aid, you can turn the rinse aid system off. Rinse aid within a combination detergent has limited effectiveness. Only use detergents that are made for dishwashers, either basic or combination detergents. For the best washing and drying results, use a separate detergent, then add rinse aid separately. Modern, powerful detergents mainly use a low-alkaline formulation with enzymes. If rinse aid spills out, remove it from the tub. Tabs are perfect for all cleaning functions and do not need to be measured out. Powder detergent is recommended for shorter cycles. Liquid detergent works faster and is recommended for shorter cycles without a pre-rinse.
• Page 16: Add the detergent to the dry detergent dispenser. Do not use the Delay Start option. The dosage can be adjusted to the level of soiling. Do not use a detergent which is not designated for dishwasher use or contains chlorine. Liquid hand soap can cause increased frothing and damage the appliance. If you are using tablets, one is enough. Insert the tablets in a horizontal position. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and quantities for dosage in the detergent dispenser. Detergents marked as ecological generally contain lower levels of active agents or none at all. Adjust the rinse aid and the water softening system settings in accordance with the detergent or combination detergent in use. This dishwasher provides the optimum cleaning performance without the use of a prewash detergent.
• Page 17: Dishware Arrange dishware correctly to optimize the dishwashing result and prevent damage to both dishware and the appliance. Only wash dishware that is suitable for dishwashers. Do not load the dishwasher with paper products, plastic bags, packing materials or anything other than normal, dishwasher safe dishware and kitchenware. Decorated glassware and parts made of aluminum or silver may fade or discolor with dishwashing. For better washing and drying results, position items with curves or recesses at an angle so water can run off. Only put dishes in the dishwasher if they are labeled dishwasher-safe. Avoid damage to glass and dishware. Remove large remnants of food from dishware. Do not pre-rinse dishware under running water. Arrange silverware with the points and sharp edges facing down to avoid injury.
• Page 18: Dishware Removing dishware Dishes can be very hot immediately after the cycle ends. Open the door slightly and allow dishes to cool for a few minutes before unloading. To prevent water dripping onto dishware, unload it starting at the bottom and working up. Check the washing tank and accessories for soiling and clean if necessary. Recommended loading patterns. Additional loading patterns for 10 place settings.
• Page 19: Basic operation Switching on the appliance involves a short touch. The last selected cycle and option will be set by default. The buttons are touch sensitive and require a quick, gentle touch. The appliance will automatically switch off after 10 minutes of inactivity. Setting a cycle requires selecting a suitable program by pressing the right cycle button. The remaining run time of the cycle will appear on the display once set. Setting options can enhance the chosen wash program, depending on the selected program. The time delay for the wash cycle can be set via the Home Connect® app. Starting the wash cycle is initiated by pressing the designated button. The dishwasher has a built-in feature to prevent unintentional operation, especially by children. To resume a paused cycle, specific steps must be followed based on the type of button controls.
• Page 20: Basic operation Interrupting the wash cycle Press On/Off. The program is saved and the appliance switches off. Press to resume the wash cycle. Terminating the wash cycle To end a cycle early or to switch from one that has already started, you will need to cancel it first. Press for approx. 4 seconds. All displays light up. The cycle is cancelled and ends after approx. 1 minute. Switching off the appliance To avoid risk of injury, always use caution when opening the door during or following a wash cycle as hot water or steam may escape. Do not fully open the door until water noises have stopped and steam has subsided.
• Page 21: Basic settings You can configure the basic settings for your appliance to meet your needs. Overview of the basic settings The basic settings depend on the features of your appliance. Set the amount of rinse aid. Switch the rinse aid system off with level r:00. Set the water sensor for identifying soiling. The temperature is increased during the final rinse, which improves the drying result. Switch Extra Dry on d:01 or off d:00. Switch InfoLight on or off. Set a default cycle for when the appliance is switched on. Adjusting the signal volume. Switch the wireless network connection on or off.
• Page 22: Home Connect® Basic setting Remote Start The following settings are possible: With the setting rc:00, the option is permanently deactivated. With the setting rc:01, the option can be selected via the button. With the setting rc:02, the option is permanently activated. The basic setting is not available until you have connected the appliance with the Home Connect® app. Restore changed settings to the factory settings. Connect your appliance to a mobile device quickly and easily.
• Page 23: Cleaning and maintenance Open the Home Connect® app and scan the QR code. Remote Diagnostics allows Customer Service to access your appliance if it is connected to the Home Connect® server. You can update the software of your appliance using the Home Connect® app. Adapt Home Connect® settings to your needs in the basic settings for your appliance. Your appliance will transmit data to the Home Connect® server during initial registration. You can use the Home Connect® app to start the appliance remotely. To keep your appliance working efficiently, it is important to clean and maintain it carefully. Never use detergents containing chlorine as they may harm health. Remove heavy soiling in the interior with a damp cloth before cleaning. Select the program with the highest temperature for cleaning the tub.
• Page 24: Cleaning and maintenance Turn the coarse filter counterclockwise and remove the filter system. Make sure that no foreign objects fall into the sump. Only use suitable cleaning agents to clean your appliance. Follow the tips on appliance care to make sure your appliance functions properly at all times. Regularly wipe the door seals, the front of the dishwasher, and the control panel using a damp cloth and dishwashing liquid. If the appliance is not going to be used for a while, leave the door slightly ajar. The filter system removes coarse soiling from the dishwashing cycle. Check the filters for residue after each wash. Carefully clean the rim of dirt between the coarse and fine filter. Make sure that the locking catches on the coarse filter click into position.
• Page 25: Cleaning and maintenance Insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise. Check that the lower spray arm is at the 6 o'clock position. Make sure that the arrow markings match up. The spray arm will automatically return to the correct position when starting. Hold the spray arm in the center and lift straight up to remove. Limescale and debris in the dishwashing water may block the nozzles and bearings on the spray arms. Clean the spray arms regularly. Check the outlet nozzles on the spray arms for blockages under running water. Reinsert the lower spray arm by first setting it in the 6 o'clock position, then push down until it clicks. Insert the upper spray arm and screw firmly in place.
• Page 26: Troubleshooting You can eliminate minor issues on your appliance yourself. Please read the information on eliminating issues before contacting Customer Service. This may avoid unnecessary repair costs. E:20-60 lights up alternately. Appliance has detected that the heating element is calcified. Descale the appliance. Operate the appliance with the water softening system. Intake opening of Zeolith container is covered by items of dishware. Rearrange the dishware in the appliance so the intake opening of the Zeolith container is no longer obstructed. Water protection system is activated. Turn off the water faucet. Call customer service. Inlet hose is kinked or indicator for water supply lights up. Install the inlet hose without kinks. Turn on the faucet. Water faucet is clogged or calcified. The flow rate must be at least 10 l/min when the water supply is open. Filters in the water connection of the supply or AquaStop hose are blocked. Switch off the appliance. Pull out the power cord plug. Turn off the water faucet. Unscrew the water connection. Remove the filter from the supply hose. Clean the filter. Reinsert the filter in the supply hose. Screw the water connection back on. Check the water connection for leaks. Restore the power supply. Switch the appliance on. E:34-00 lights up alternately. Water is continuously running into the appliance. Turn off the water faucet. Call customer service.
• Page 27: Troubleshooting E:61-02 lights up alternately. Not an appliance error. The drain pump cover is loose or a foreign object is blocking the pump. Secure the cover of the drain pump so it clicks into place or clean the drain pump. E:61-03 lights up alternately. Water is not draining. Not an appliance error. Garbage disposal is still plugged or the drain hose is kinked. Check that the garbage disposal plug is removed and that the drain hose is not kinked. Not an appliance error. High loop is missing and/or debris flushed back into drain hose and blocked it. Be sure there is a high loop in the drain hose and that no debris has flushed back into the hose. E:61-60 lights up alternately. E:90-01 lights up alternately. There is a technical error. Contact the after-sales service. Power voltage is too low. There is no problem with the appliance. Call an electrician. Have the power voltage and electrical installation checked by an electrician.
• Page 28: Troubleshooting E:92-10 lights up alternately. Spray arm rotation of the lower spray arm is blocked. Arrange the dishware so that it does not obstruct spray arm rotation of the lower spray arm. Lower spray arm is not correctly fitted. Fit the lower spray arm correctly. E:92-40 lights up alternately. Filters are soiled or blocked. Clean the filters. A different error code appears in the display window. There is a technical issue. Contact customer service and give the error code. Dishware is not dry. No rinse aid used or dosage set too low. Add rinse aid and set the amount of rinse aid to be dispensed.
• Page 29: Troubleshooting Dishware is not dry. Position dishware at an angle where possible. Use rinse aid to improve drying performance. Activate Extra Dry/intensive drying. Wait until the program ends before removing dishware. Use a name-brand rinse aid. Silverware is not dry. Arrange silverware individually where possible. Appliance interior still wet after wash cycle is normal due to condensation drying. Food remnants on dishware can occur if dishware is placed too close together.
• Page 30: Troubleshooting Food remnants on dishware may be due to the sensitivity of the sensors. Tall narrow containers in corner areas are not rinsed out adequately. Ensure the upper rack on the right and left is set to the same height. Detergent residue can occur if the lid of the detergent dispenser is blocked. Arrange dishware in the upper rack to avoid obstructing the tab collecting tray. Do not place dishware in the tab collecting tray to prevent blocking the dispenser lid. Select a more intensive wash cycle if tabs are used in a quick or short cycle. Water spots on plastic parts are due to droplet formation and can be minimized by selecting a more intensive program. Stubborn white coatings on dishware may require changing the detergent or scrubbing by hand. Tea residue or lipstick marks may result from low dishwashing temperature or insufficient detergent.
• Page 31: Troubleshooting Tea residue or lipstick marks on dishware. Only remove large remnants of food and do not pre-rinse dishware. Adjust the sensitivity of the sensors. Colored coatings inside the appliance or on stainless steel dishware are difficult to remove. Clean the appliance. Coatings may not always be completely removable but are harmless to health. Plastic parts inside the appliance may become discolored over time. Discoloration will not impair the functioning of the appliance. Dishwashing temperature is too low. Select a program with a higher dishwashing temperature. Removable streaks on glasses and silverware may be due to rinse aid settings. Set the rinse aid system to a lower setting. Add rinse aid if none has been added. Detergent residue in the final rinse may occur if the detergent dispenser lid is blocked. Arrange dishware in the upper rack to avoid obstruction. Irreversible clouding of glassware may occur if glasses are not dishwasher-proof. Use dishwasher-proof glasses and avoid lengthy steam phases. Use a program with a lower temperature and detergent with glass protection.
• Page 32: Troubleshooting Detergent residue is present in the detergent dispenser or the collecting tray. Check that the spray arms are not blocked and can rotate freely. Excessive formation of foam occurs. Hand soap got in the rinse aid dispenser. Immediately add rinse aid to the dispenser. Connection to home network is not established. Check the wireless network connection of your router. Refill indicator for rinse aid lights up. Add rinse aid. All LEDs light up or flash. Electronics have detected a fault. UP appears on the display. A software update is available. Water is left in the appliance at the end of the program. Clean the filters.

Transporting the appliance To avoid damage to the appliance, empty it before transporting. Always transport the dishwasher upright to prevent residual water getting into the machine's controls. You can find the model number (E-Nr.), the production number (FD), and the consecutive numbering (Z-Nr.) on the appliance's rating plate. Environmentally sound disposal allows valuable raw materials to be recycled. Avoid a risk of entrapment upon disposal. Unplug the appliance from the power outlet before disposal. With any warranty repair, we will make sure your appliance is repaired by an authorized service provider using genuine replacement parts. If you contact Customer Service, you will need the model number (E-Nr.), the production number (FD), and the consecutive numbering (Z-Nr.) of your appliance.

During this warranty period, Bosch will repair your product without charge if it proves to have been manufactured with a defect. Bosch will replace your product if reasonable attempts to repair it have been made without success. Bosch highly recommends that you do not attempt to repair the product yourself or use a non-authorized service provider. The warranty coverage excludes all defects or damage that are not the direct fault of Bosch. Exclusions include misuse, negligence, accidents, and failure to follow operating instructions. Bosch will not have any liability for damage to surrounding property or for products with altered serial numbers.
