The AquaSensor is an optical measuring device that measures the turbidity of the rinsing water, allowing for water savings. Do not use a steam cleaner. To prevent corrosion, do not use sponge cloths on dishwashers with a stainless steel front. The sensors adjust the programme sequence and strength in automatic programmes based on the level and type of soiling. The packaging materials are environmentally compatible and can be recycled. Sort the individual components by type and dispose of them separately. The Eco 50 ° programme is energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. If you follow these instructions, your appliance will use less electricity and less water. Consumption is reduced with the appropriate sensor settings.

You can position your built-under or integrable appliance in a fitted kitchen between wooden and plastic walls. To ensure proper operation, connect the appliance to the power and water supply correctly. Check the scope of supply and the condition of the appliance. Make the appliance level using the height-adjustable feet. After unpacking all parts, check for any damage in transit and completeness of the delivery. The appliance has been tested at the factory to check it is in working order. Ensure that the appliance is standing on the floor securely. If automatic door opening is deactivated, energy consumption increases and the drying phase is usually shortened. For best drying results, wait until the end of the programme before unloading the tableware.

Eco 50° is the most economical programme for cleaning mixed tableware and cutlery. The level of soiling affects the choice of programme and its effectiveness. Additional functions can be selected to enhance the cleaning process. The running time depends on factors such as water temperature and the quantity of tableware.

These are the conditions for conducting the tests, however they are not the results or consumption values. The product number (E-Nr.) and the production number (FD) are required here. You can save a combination of a programme and an additional function. Different additional functions are available depending on the appliance configuration. The pre-rinse program is suitable for all types of tableware. The run time is shortened by 15% to 75% depending on the SpeedPerfect+ rinse programme. Energy and water consumption are increased with the additional function. You can use the Home Connect app to download additional programmes and save them to the button.

The spray pressure in the bottom basket is increased for intensive cleaning. The appliance door opens automatically during the drying phase. Etagere Use the cutlery shelf and space underneath for small cups and glasses or for large items of cutlery, e.g. cooking spoons or serving cutlery. 3rd basket Use the 3rd basket to wash large items of cutlery that are lightly soiled as well as small items of tableware, e.g. small cups, bowls or cooking spoons. If you do not need the cutlery shelf, you can fold it up. Moving the side shelf in the 3rd basket You can move the side shelf in the 3rd basket to wash stemware in the top basket.
• Page 23: Features Folding prongs Use the folding prongs to position tableware securely, e.g. plates. Use the shelf for knives and long items of cutlery. You can fold the prongs down to position pans, bowls and glasses better. Extra Clean Zone Use the Extra Clean Zone in the top basket to clean soiled tableware thoroughly, e.g. muesli bowls. Consumption will increase if you operate your appliance with the Extra Clean Zone switched on.

Limescale and soiling from the dishwashing water can block the nozzles. Place the Extra Clean Zone in the top basket and lock in place. Always operate the appliance with the Extra Clean Zone fitted. Pull out the top basket. Check that the mounts are in the correct position. The Extra Clean Zone audibly clicks into position. Set the baskets at the right height.
• Page 25: Before using for the first time, set the amount of rinse aid to be dispensed. Add detergent before using for the first time. Start the programme with the highest cleaning temperature without tableware. To remove any marks from water or other residues, operate the appliance without tableware before using it for the first time. On initial start-up or after a reset to factory settings, you will need to make settings. You can conveniently change all settings via the Home Connect app. To ensure good dishwashing results, treat the water with special salt and the water softening system. Water with a hardness above 9 °E must be softened to avoid damage to the appliance. You can find an overview of the water hardness values that can be selected here. Find out how hard your water is from your local water company or by using a water hardness tester.
• Page 26: Water softening system Set the water hardness determined on your appliance. Detergent may damage the water softening system. Only fill the dispenser of the water softening system with special dishwasher salt. With a water hardness of 0 - 8 °E, you can dispense with special salt for dishwashers and switch off the water softening system. Special salt for dishwashers can damage the tub due to corrosion. To make sure that any special salt that escapes is washed out of the tub, add the special salt to the dispenser for special salt immediately before the programme starts. Set the water hardness on your appliance. Only use special salt for dishwashers. Do not use salt tablets or table salt. You can use special salt to soften water.
• Page 27: Water softening system Regeneration of the water softening system occurs at regular intervals to ensure fault-free function. Regeneration takes place before the end of the main rinse cycle in all programmes, increasing run time and consumption values. To avoid damage, only switch off the water softening system under specific conditions, such as when water hardness is max. 26 °E and using combined detergents with salt replacement substances. An overview of consumption values during regeneration is provided, detailing additional run time and water consumption. If water hardness is between 0 - 8 °E, special salt is not required. Instructions for switching off the water softening system include pressing specific buttons to access settings and saving changes. The consumption values are based on laboratory measurements using the Eco 50° programme with a factory setting of water hardness at 16 - 20°E.
• Page 28: Rinse aid system For optimum drying results, use rinse aid. If there are streaks or water marks on tableware, change the amount of rinse aid. Only use rinse aid for domestic dishwashers. If the rinse aid refill indicator lights up, top up with rinse aid. A low setting adds less rinse aid during the wash cycle and reduces streaking on tableware. A higher setting adds more rinse aid during the wash cycle, reduces water marks, and improves the drying result. If you find the rinse aid refill indicator irritating, you can switch the rinse aid system off. The function of rinse aid is limited with combined detergents. You will generally get better results using rinse aid. Spilled rinse aid can cause excessive frothing during the wash cycle.
• Page 29: Detergent The display shows H:xx. Powder detergent is recommended for shorter programmes. The dosage can be adjusted to the level of soiling. Liquid detergent works faster and is recommended for shorter programmes without PreRinse. Only use detergents that are suitable for dishwashers. For optimum washing and drying results, use separate detergent, adding special salt and rinse aid separately. Modern, powerful detergents mainly use a low-alkaline formulation with enzymes. Separate detergents are products that do not contain components other than detergent. Tabs are suitable for all cleaning functions and do not need to be measured out. With shorter programmes, tabs sometimes do not dissolve entirely and leave residues of detergent.
• Page 30: Detergent Combined detergent products contain not only detergent but also rinse aid and salt replacement substances (3in1) and additional components such as glass protection or stainless steel cleaner. Combined detergents generally only function up to a water hardness of 26 °E. For the best washing and drying results, it is recommended to use special salt and rinse aid from a water hardness of 17 °E. If using combined detergent, the washing programme is adjusted automatically for optimal results. Set the rinse aid and the water softening system according to the type of detergent in use. To prevent sticking, only touch detergents in a water-soluble pouch with dry hands. Even if the rinse aid and special salt refill indicators light up, washing programmes will run properly with combined detergents. The function of rinse aid is limited with combined detergents; better results are generally achieved using rinse aid. Use tablets with a special drying performance. Do not use detergent that could cause damage to the appliance or present a risk to health.
• Page 31: Tableware Add the detergent to the dry detergent dispenser. Close the lid of the detergent dispenser. If you are using tablets, one is enough. Insert the tablets in a horizontal position. If you are using powder or liquid detergent, follow the manufacturer's instructions and quantities for dosage in the detergent dispenser. 20 ml – 25 ml detergent is sufficient for normal soiling. The detergent dispenser will open automatically at the optimum time during the programme. In order to ensure that tablets can dissolve evenly, do not place any other objects in the tablet collecting tray. If you use powder detergent and select a program with pre-rinse, you can also add a little detergent to the interior door of the appliance. Only clean tableware that is suitable for dishwashers. Decorated glassware and parts made of aluminium or silver may fade or discolour with dishwashing.
• Page 32: Tableware Damage to glass and tableware can occur if the water temperature of the programme is too high. Only put glasses and china in the dishwasher if it is marked as dishwasher-safe by the manufacturer. After the programme has ended, take glassware and cutlery out of the appliance without delay. The following tableware is not dishwasher-safe: items made from wood, decorated glassware, antique and hand-crafted tableware, plastic parts not resistant to heat, tableware made from copper or tin, and tableware soiled with ash, wax, lubricating grease, or paint. Using the appliance allows you to save energy and water compared to washing-up by hand. To save energy and water, load the machine with the number of place settings specified. For better washing and drying results, position items with curves or recesses at an angle so water can run off. Use a detergent marked by the manufacturer as gentle on tableware. Highly caustic alkaline or highly acidic cleaning agents are not safe to use in the dishwasher with aluminium parts. Remove large remnants of food from tableware.
• Page 33: Basic operation To save resources, do not pre-rinse tableware under running water. WARNING: Hot tableware can cause burns to the skin. When the programme has ended, do not empty the appliance until the tableware has cooled down for a while. Put heavily soiled tableware in the bottom basket, e.g., pans. Arrange cutlery with the points and sharp edges facing down to prevent injury. Position containers with the openings facing down so no water can collect in them. Unload tableware starting at the bottom and working up to prevent water dripping. Check the washing tank and accessories for soiling and clean if necessary. The Eco 50° programme is set by default and is especially environmentally friendly. If no actions are performed for 10 minutes, the appliance will automatically switch off.
• Page 34: Basic operation Setting a programme To adjust the wash cycle to the soil- ing level of the tableware, select a suitable programme. The programme has ended when the display shows 00h:00m. If you want to add more tableware while the appliance is running, do not use the tablet collecting tray as a handle for the top basket. The remaining running time of the programme appears on the display. You can only change a programme when running if you cancel it. You can set additional functions to complete the washing programme selected. The appliance switches off automatically 1 minute after the end of the programme to save energy. The button lock prevents the appliance from being operated accidentally or incorrectly while running. You can delay the start of the programme by up to 24 hours.
• Page 35: Basic operation This will help prevent excess pressure building up in the appliance and stop the appliance door bursting open. To end a programme early or to switch from a programme that has already started, you will need to cancel it first. Press for approx. 4 seconds. All displays light up. As soon as the displays are off, the display shows 00h:01m and the residual water is pumped out. The programme is cancelled and ends after approx. 1 minute. Please note the information on Safe use. If you press during the wash cycle, the programme currently running will be interrupted.
• Page 36: Basic settings can be configured to meet your needs. The basic settings depend on the features of your appliance. Set the water softening system to your water hardness. Level H:00 switches the water softening system off. Set the amount of rinse aid to be dispensed. Switch the rinse aid system off with level r:00. Set the water sensor for identifying soiling. The temperature is increased during the final rinse, which improves the drying result. Switch Extra Dry on d:01 or off d:00. Set cold water or hot water connection.
• Page 37: Basic settings Set a default programme for when the appliance is switched on. With the setting SP:00, the last programme selected is set by default when the appliance is switched on. With the setting SP:01, the Eco 50° programme is set by default when the appliance is switched on. Adjustment of tone volume. Level SL:00 switches the signal tone off. If the Eco drying function is activated, the end of the programme is not indicated by an audible signal tone. Activate or deactivate automatic opening of the appliance door during the drying phase. With the setting o:00 automatic door opening is deactivated in all programmes. With the setting o:01 automatic door opening is activated in all programmes. The basic setting Wi-Fi is only available once the appliance is connected to the Home Connect app.
• Page 38: Home Connect Basic setting Remote Start The following settings are possible: With the setting rc:00, the function is permanently deactivated. With the setting rc:01, the function can be selected via the button. With the setting rc:02, the function is permanently activated. This basic setting is not available until after you have connected the device with the Home Connect app. Restore changed settings to the factory settings. The appliance is network-capable. Connect your appliance to a mobile device to control its functions via the Home Connect app. The Home Connect services are not available in every country.

Please consult the documents supplied by Home Connect. Please note the safety precautions in this instruction manual. Adapt Home Connect to your needs. You can find the Home Connect settings in the basic settings for your appliance. Connect your appliance to a mobile device quickly and easily. You can use the Home Connect app to start the appliance with your mobile device. The appliance is connected to your WLAN home network. Wi-Fi is activated on the router.
• Page 40: Cleaning and servicing To keep your appliance working efficiently for a long time, it is important to clean and maintain it carefully. Software update You can use this function to update the software of your appliance, e.g. for optimisation, troubleshooting or safety-relevant updating. The Home Connect app informs you about available software updates. WARNING: Risk of harm to health! Using detergents containing chlorine may result in harm to health. Never use detergents containing chlorine. Data protection information is available regarding the initial registration of your appliance on a home network connected to the Internet. Your appliance will transmit unique appliance identification data to the Home Connect server during initial registration.
• Page 41: Cleaning and servicing Only use suitable cleaning products to clean your appliance. Follow the tips on appliance care to make sure your appliance functions properly at all times. Wipe the door seals, the front of the dishwasher, and the control panel regularly using a damp cloth and washing-up liquid. If the appliance is not going to be used for a while, leave the door slightly ajar. Deposits, e.g. from remnants of food and limescale, can cause your appliance to malfunction. To avoid such faults and reduce odours, we recommend cleaning your appliance at regular intervals. Machine Care is a programme which removes various deposits in one washing cycle. Cleaning takes place in two phases: removal of grease and limescale, and food remnants and deposits. Correct placement of the detergents is necessary for optimum cleaning performance. We recommend performing Machine Care every 2 months.
• Page 42: Cleaning and servicing The filter system removes coarse soiling from the dishwashing cycle. Run the Machine Care programme without any tableware in the dishwasher. Only use machine care products and machine cleaners specially designed for dishwashers. Make sure that there are no aluminium parts in the interior of the appliance. If you have not run Machine Care after 3 washing cycles, the indicator for Machine Care will go out automatically. For optimum cleaning performance, ensure the correct placement of cleaners. Follow the safety instructions given on the packaging of the machine care products and machine cleaners. Soiling in the dishwashing water may block the filters. After each wash check the filters for residue. Only use machine care products specially designed for dishwashers.
• Page 43: Cleaning and servicing Pull down the micro filter to re-insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise. Make sure that the arrow markings match up. Press the locking catches together and lift the coarse filter out. Limescale and soiling in the dishwashing water may block the nozzles and bearings on the spray arms. Clean the spray arms regularly. Unscrew the upper spray arm and pull down to remove. Clean the filter elements under running water. Carefully clean the rim of dirt between the coarse and the fine filter. Re-assemble the filter system. Make sure that the locking catches on the coarse filter click into position.
• Page 44: Cleaning and servicing Pull up the lower spray arm to remove. Check the outlet nozzles on the spray arms for blockages under running water and remove any foreign bodies. Insert the lower spray arm. The spray arm clicks into position. Insert the upper spray arm and screw it firmly in place.
• Page 45: Troubleshooting information is essential before contacting after-sales service to avoid unnecessary costs. Repairs should only be carried out by trained specialist staff. Only genuine spare parts should be used when repairing the appliance. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced with a special connection cable from the manufacturer or customer service. The appliance door may not open at the end of the program due to automatic door opening not being activated. The door may not be correctly adjusted, requiring adjustments as per the installation instructions. Cleaning the appliance door and door seal with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid is necessary if they are soiled. Using the wrong screws to adjust the door gap can cause issues; size 4X30 bolts should be used. If bolts that are too long are used, it can deactivate the automatic door opening function. The safety device may switch off automatic door opening, necessitating a call to customer service.
• Page 46: Troubleshooting Appliance door opens too wide at the end of the programme. Adjust the appliance door as described in the installation instructions. The door gap must be at least 70 mm - 100 mm. Use size 4X30 bolts to adjust the door gap. If you use bolts that are too long, this can deactivate the function of automatic door opening. Programme or programme option has no drying phase, or the drying phase is too brief. Select a programme with drying, such as intensive, strong, or ECO programme. Some option buttons decrease the drying result, e.g., varioSpeed.

Use a different combined detergent with a better drying performance. Activate Extra Dry to improve drying performance. Wait until the programme ends before removing tableware. Use a name-brand rinse aid as eco products may have limited effectiveness. Appliance door does not open automatically at the end of the programme. Adjust the appliance door as described in the installation instructions. Plastic tableware is not dry; no remedial action possible.

Activate the Extra Clean Zone function in the top basket for better cleaning. Spray arm rotation may be blocked by improperly arranged tableware. Clean the spray arms if the nozzles are blocked. Soiled filters can affect cleaning performance; clean the filters regularly. Ensure filters are inserted correctly and engaged properly. Select a more intensive washing programme if the current one is too weak.

Change your detergent. Water marks on plastic parts. Due to laws of physics, droplet formation on plastic surfaces is unavoidable.

In most cases you will need to increase the setting. Change your detergent if required. Stubborn white coatings are present on tableware, inside the appliance or the door. These coatings cannot generally be removed with chemicals. Clean the appliance mechanically. The hardness range is set incorrectly or the water hardness is greater than 62 °E (8,9 mmol/l). Set the water softening system to the water hardness or add special salt. 3in1/organic/eco detergent is not effective enough. Select a more intensive washing programme.

You can remove deposits with mechanical cleaning or a machine cleaning product. Coloured deposits that are easy to remove are present inside the appliance. Check the setting of the water softening system. Add special salt. If you are using combined detergents, activate the water softening system. Discolouration of plastic parts inside the appliance may occur during the life of the dishwasher. Washing temperature may be too low. Select a programme with a higher washing temperature. Adjust the sensitivity of the sensors.

Arrange tableware in the top basket so the tab collecting tray is not obstructed by tableware. Do not place tableware or fragrance dispensers in the tablet collecting tray. Items of tableware are blocking the dispenser lid. Only remove large remnants of food and do not prerinse tableware. Irreversible clouding of glassware may occur if glasses are not dishwasher-proof. Use dishwasher-proof glasses and avoid a lengthy steam phase after the wash cycle ends. Set the softening system to the water hardness and use detergent with a glass protection component. Rust spots on cutlery can occur if cutlery is not sufficiently rust-resistant.

As soon as the rinsing water no longer drains properly, the wastewater pump must be cleaned. Risk of injury! Sharp and pointed objects or fragments of glass may block the wastewater pump and cause injury. Remove any foreign bodies carefully. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply. Turn off the water tap. Detach the drainage connection. Detach the drinking water connection.
