Different programmes are available for various types of dishware, including crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans. The programmes vary based on the degree of soil, ranging from normal to heavy, and lightly dried-on. Each programme consists of phases such as prewash, dishwashing, intermediate rinse, final rinse, and drying. Options like ExtraPower, GlassCare, and ExtraHygiene can be selected for enhanced cleaning. Dishwashing temperatures range from 50 °C to 60 °C depending on the selected programme. AirDry is an option available for all programmes to assist with drying. The document outlines specific phases for each programme, including rinsing and drying steps. The programmes cater to different soil levels and types of dishware for optimal cleaning results.
- Page 9: Programme phases include cleaning, intermediate rinse, and final rinse. The standard programme offers efficient water and energy use for normal soil and is used for compliance assessment with regulations. The appliance automatically adjusts temperature, water quantity, energy consumption, and programme duration based on soil degree and item quantity. A specific programme is designed to clean the appliance's interior, removing limescale and grease buildup, and should be run every two months without any load. A quick rinse programme helps prevent odours by rinsing off food remains without detergent. Consumption values vary based on water pressure, temperature, mains supply variations, options, dish quantity, and soil degree. Values for programmes other than ECO are indicative only. Information for test institutes can be requested via email, including the product number code from the rating plate.
- Page 10: For any other questions regarding your dishwasher, refer to the service book provided with your appliance. Options prevent rapid changes in the dishwashing temperature of the selected programme and reduces it to 45 °C. Desired options must be activated every time before you start a programme. It is not possible to activate or deactivate options while a programme is running. This option improves the dishwashing results of the selected programme. It increases the wash temperature and duration. Not all options are compatible with each other. If you select non-compatible options, the appliance automatically deactivates one or more of them. This option provides better cleaning results by keeping the temperature between 65 and 70 °C for at least 10 minutes during the last rinsing phase. Activating options can affect the water and energy consumption as well as the programme duration. You can also view the number of completed dishwashing cycles. When the appliance is in programme selection mode, you can set a programme and enter user mode.
- Page 11: Activation or deactivation of the rinse aid empty notification. Activation or deactivation of the AirDry. The water softener removes minerals from the water supply, which would have a negative effect on the washing results and on the appliance. Water hardness is measured in equivalent scales. The water softener should be adjusted according to the hardness of the water in your area. Set the right level of the water softener to assure good washing results. Make sure the appliance is in programme selection mode. Factory setting. Do not use salt at this level. The saved settings remain valid until you change them again.
- Page 12: Regardless of the type of detergent used, set the proper water hardness level to keep the salt refill indicator active. Multi-tabs containing salt are not effective enough to soften hard water. For the correct water softener operation, the resin of the softener device needs to be regenerated regularly. This process is automatic and is part of the normal dishwasher operation. The pressure and the temperature of water as well as the variations of the mains supply can change the values. When the prescribed quantity of water has been used since the previous regeneration process, a new regeneration process will be initiated between the final rinse and the programme end. The rinse aid helps to dry the dishes without streaks and stains. When the rinse aid chamber is empty, the rinse aid indicator turns on. For best drying performance, always use rinse aid. If standard detergent or multi-tablets without rinse aid are used, activate the notification to keep the rinse aid refill indicator active.
- Page 13: How to deactivate the rinse aid empty notification Make sure the appliance is in user mode. Do not try to close the appliance door within 2 minutes after automatic opening. If the door is closed for at least 3 minutes, the running programme ends. The rinse aid empty notification is deactivated. Press to change the setting. How to deactivate AirDry AirDry improves the drying results with less energy consumption. Factory reset restores the factory defaults. AirDry is automatically activated with all programmes other than (if applicable). You can view the number of completed dishwashing cycles in the cycle counter.
- Page 14: Press and hold the buttons for 5 seconds. The display shows uC and then the number of cycles. After reaching 65535, the cycle counter restarts. Press any button to exit the cycle counter. Before first use, make sure that the current level of the water softener agrees with the hardness of the water supply. Fill the salt container and rinse aid dispenser. Open the water tap and start a programme to remove any processing residuals inside the appliance. Do not use detergent or put dishes in the baskets. Use rough salt designed for dishwashers only. Fine salt increases the risk of corrosion. The salt is used to recharge the resin in the water softener and to assure good washing results in daily use. Water and salt can come out of the salt container when you fill it. After filling, immediately start a programme to prevent corrosion. To fill the salt container, turn the cap counterclockwise and remove it. Put 1 litre of water in the salt container only for the first time. Fill the salt container with 1 kg of salt until it is full.
- Page 15: How to fill the rinse aid dispenser Only use rinse aid designed specifically for dishwashers. Press the release button to open the lid. Fill the dispenser until the rinse aid reaches the marking MAX. Remove the spilled rinse aid with an absorbent cloth to prevent excessive foam formation. Close the lid. Make sure that the release button locks into position. The compartment is for rinse aid only. Do not fill it with detergent. Daily use Open the water tap. Press the on/off button to activate the appliance. Only use detergent specifically designed for dishwashers.
- Page 16: Energy consumption and the programme duration are important aspects of appliance operation. The Auto Off function decreases energy consumption by automatically deactivating the appliance when not in use. If the door is opened for more than 30 seconds during the drying phase, the running programme ends, except when using the AirDry function. The Auto Off function activates when the programme is complete or after 5 minutes if no programme has started. Do not close the appliance door within 2 minutes after AirDry opens it to avoid damage. To start a programme, press the on/off button, ensure the appliance is in programme selection mode, and close the door. Set applicable options and press the start button to begin the programme. When cancelling the delay start, you must set the programme and options again. The programme duration is displayed and counts down in minutes during operation. When the programme is complete, the Auto Off function switches the appliance off automatically.
- Page 17: Hints and tips for optimal cleaning and drying results include using appropriate dishwasher products. Only use salt, rinse aid, and detergent designed for dishwashers to avoid appliance damage. In areas with hard water, use basic dishwasher detergent, rinse aid, and salt separately for best results. Washing dishes in the dishwasher typically consumes less water and energy than hand washing. Load the dishwasher to full capacity and arrange items as instructed to save resources. Do not pre-rinse dishes by hand, as it increases water and energy consumption. Use detergent tablets with long programmes to prevent residues on tableware. Always use the correct quantity of detergent and rinse aid to ensure effective cleaning and drying. Adjust detergent amounts based on water hardness, following packaging instructions. To stop using multi-tablets, refill the salt container, use recommended dosages, and ensure the water softener level matches water hardness.
- Page 18: When the programme is complete, adjust the water softener according to the water hardness in your area. Before you start the selected programme, make sure that the filters are clean and correctly installed. The cap of the salt container is tight. The spray arms are not clogged. There is enough salt and rinse aid unless you use multi-tablets. Always use the whole space of the baskets. Use the appliance to wash dishwasher-safe items only. Let the tableware cool down before you remove it from the appliance. Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads, sharp tools, strong chemicals, scourer or solvents. To maintain the performance of your appliance, use a cleaning product designed for dishwashers at least once every two months.
- Page 19: Removal of foreign objects Check the filters and the sump after each use of the dishwasher. Foreign objects decrease the cleaning performance and can cause damage to the drain pump. If unable to remove the foreign objects, contact an Authorised Service Centre. Disassemble the filters system as instructed in this chapter. Remove any foreign objects manually. Reassemble the filters as instructed in this chapter. Clean the appliance with a moist soft cloth. Only use neutral detergents. The filter system is made of 3 parts. Make sure that there are no residues of food or soil in or around the edge of the sump. Put back in place the flat filter.
- Page 20: Wash the spray arm under running water. Use a thin pointed tool to remove particles of soil from the holes. Reassemble the filters and put back the filter in the flat filter. Turn it clockwise until it locks. An incorrect position of the filters can cause bad washing results and damage to the appliance. We recommend cleaning the lower spray arm regularly to prevent soil from clogging the holes. Clogged holes can cause unsatisfactory washing results. To remove the lower spray arm, pull it upwards. Do not remove the upper spray arm. If the openings in the spray arm are clogged, remove the remaining particles of soil with a thin pointed object.
