- Page 5: Product dimensions Overall height: 865–925 mm Overall width Overall depth Height of chassis: 855 mm Depth of chassis Ventilation gap between door panels Depth of toe kick recess Minimum clearance between toe kick panel and floor Height of feet: 10–70 mm Actual product dimensions may vary by 2 mm
- Page 6: Custom panel dimensions Maximum weight of drawer panels must not exceed 9kg (including handle). The panel should be adequately sealed to withstand moisture (50°C @ 80% RH). The back and sides of the panel should be completely sealed with a waterproof vapour barrier. Installation outside these specifications may result in condensation on cabinetry surfaces. A minimum distance of 12mm between the floor and the base of the toe kick must be maintained. Toe kick panel height can be determined by using the specified measurements. Minimum upper door panel height and minimum lower door panel height are provided. Minimum clearance between door panels and countertop is specified. Maximum extension of upper and lower panels is outlined. Custom panel considerations include specific dimensions for installation.
- Page 7: Cabinetry dimensions and clearances are essential for installation. Connections can be located in an adjacent cabinet on either side of the DishDrawer™ Dishwasher. Minimum inside height is specified. Inside width is 600 mm. Minimum clearance to adjacent cupboard door is required. Minimum clearance to corner cupboard is necessary. Access to both sides of the product will be required during installation. If access is not possible, the tubs may need to be removed for door installation and adjustments. Recommended height of adjacent cabinetry is provided. Height of toe kick area varies depending on adjustment of leveling feet.
- Page 8: Plumbing and electrical considerations Your services can be installed to either the left-hand or right-hand side of the product in an adjacent cabinet. If the drain hoses supplied are not long enough to reach your services, you may purchase a Fisher & Paykel drain hose extension kit which will extend the drain hoses by 3.6m. Recommended water temperature: Cold (maximum 60°C). Ensure water connection complies with local plumbing regulations. Water softener models: max. 1 MPa (145 psi), min. 0.1 MPa (14.5 psi). Non-water softener models: max. 1 MPa (145 psi), min. 0.03 MPa (4.3 psi). Drains will need to be separated to satisfy kosher requirements. We recommend confirming the acceptability with your local rabbi in respect to kosher installations. Minimum distance from floor to top of hose support is 750 mm. Maximum distance from cabinetry to the centre of electrical outlet is 450 mm.
- Page 9: Preparation involves ensuring proper service access and moisture protection for the DishDrawer™ Dishwasher. Locate service holes on either side of the dishwasher and ensure edges are smooth if created through wood. Fit the supplied edge protector if holes are created through metal. Align moisture protection tape to the cabinetry and ensure the area is free of debris before application. For best results, install the supplied sound seal to reduce excess noise during use. Lay the sound seal flat and do not fold for proper installation. Tilt the dishwasher back to align the sound seal with the front feet. Ensure the seal is correctly positioned after lowering the product. Follow specified cavity height dimensions for installation. Adhere to service hole dimension guidelines for optimal setup.
- Page 10: Push the product into the cavity. Fit custom door panels. Remove both side pins from each drawer by twisting a quarter-turn towards the product front. Secure all four side brackets to the DishDrawer™ Dishwasher, aligning bracket A with slot A and bracket B with slot B. Ensure the ends of the brackets are not pushed into the chassis. Carefully pull both brackets from the DishDrawer™ Dishwasher down and out before unplugging the Knock-to-Pause modules and earth wires. Optionally, fit the two top brackets for additional stability. On the back of the upper panel, mark the centre and align the base of the upper bracket with the base of the panel. Level the DishDrawer™ Dishwasher by carefully tipping it onto a protected surface. Push the product into the cavity, pulling the hoses through as you push to avoid crushing or twisting them.
- Page 11: Fit the custom panel. Re-insert both side pins to each drawer by pushing in and twisting a quarter-turn towards the rear of the product to secure panels into place. Attach the Knock-to-Pause module to the panels as shown. Ensure the Knock-to-Pause modules are oriented correctly and are not in contact with the brackets before securing. Insert a Phillips screwdriver into the hole above each side pin and rotate to adjust the panel alignment. There is a maximum travel distance of 2mm. To earth the panel bracket, connect the earth wire from the product to one of the tabs. Any custom metal components that extend past the rubber seal must be earthed also. Ensure the minimum clearance gap of 8mm between panels is maintained after all adjustments have been made. Carefully fit the panels onto the product.
- Page 12: Secure to cabinetry via brackets (method A). Secure to cabinetry via drawer removal (method B). Open the lower drawer and press both locking tabs back to release. Partially open one of the drawers and remove the first screw cover from the trim moulding. Lift the drawer off the runners and carefully set aside on a protected surface. Push runners back in. Take care not to pull drawer out too far to prevent any strain on the hoses. Secure to cabinetry via the brackets. Pre-drilling a pilot hole may be required depending on the cabinetry material. Using the supplied hex socket and a screwdriver, level the DishDrawer™ Dishwasher as required.
- Page 13: Secure to cabinetry via drawer removal (method B). Select your preferred pre-finished toe kick based on the depth of your desired toe kick recess. Toe kick depth of 40–56mm. Toe kick depth of 56–120mm. Before refitting the drawer, ensure the hoses are not twisted. Measure toe kick height against the base of the locking tab. Refit the drawer to the runners and clip into place via both locking tabs. Carefully score toe kick at marked height. Snap off excess toe kick material and both end tabs. Ensure a 12mm clearance is maintained between the floor and the toe kick.
- Page 14: Install custom toe kick. Align the custom panel to the recessed pre-finished panel, referring to 'custom panel dimensions' for guidance. Re-align the custom panel to the recessed panel and secure using the provided screws. Mark a section of the recessed panel to be removed, ensuring it is shorter than the custom panel. Pre-drilling the screw bosses is recommended for optimal results. Slide toe kick onto the mounting rails and secure. On a protected surface, carefully score the toe kick at the marked height. Do not over tighten the screws. Snap off excess toe kick material and both end tabs. Smooth the edges.
- Page 15: Plumbing & electrical connection Install the drain hose support to the back wall, as close to the underside of the countertop as possible. Refer to 'Plumbing & electrical considerations' for minimum install heights. Ensure the hoses do not extend any further than 120mm into the standpipe to prevent waste water from siphoning back into the tub. Ensure hose is routed straight to the joiner, removing excess drain hose if necessary. Unplug or drill out the waste tee before securing joiner to sink trap or waste tee. Ensure the supplied rubber washer is fitted to the coupling before connecting the inlet hose to tap. Using a spanner or pliers, turn a further 180° to secure, avoiding over-tightening. Do not turn water supply on. The DishDrawer™ Dishwasher must be powered on for the flood protection feature to be enabled. Plug product in.
- Page 16: Installer checklist to be completed by the installer includes several key areas of focus. Ensure all electrical tests have been conducted in accordance with local regulations. Check all parts are installed correctly and are secure. Turn on the power and water supplies, then open the drawer to hear a beep and see a program indicator light up on the control panel. Ensure DishDrawer™ Dishwasher is secure and drawer opens and closes freely with no resistance. Add three cups of water into the drawer. Navigate to RINSE and start the program, ensuring any packaging or tape securing the racks and spray arm is removed. After the Rinse cycle has finished, ensure the dishwasher has run and drained correctly. Ensure any knock-outs or plugs in drain connection have been drilled out and drain connection has been made. Ensure inlet hose has supplied rubber washer fitted, and that it’s tightened. Water softener models require adjustment from the default setting to suit the water hardness of the area.
- Page 17: Troubleshooting No program indicator lights up when the drawer is opened. Ensure power is connected and is switched on. Auto power-on may need to be activated. Ensure the water supply is turned on. Check hoses, connections, and existing plumbing for leaks. Ensure the product is secured to the cabinetry. Check cabinetry is square. Open the drawer and check the spray arm. If a problem occurs that is not listed, refer to your user guide for additional troubleshooting. If assistance is needed, refer to the Service & Warranty book for warranty details.
