  • Page 7: Cabinetry dimensions and clearances are crucial for installation. Ensure the relationship between benchtop overhang and the recessed handle has been considered. Connections can be located in an adjacent cabinet on either side of the DishDrawer. Minimum clearance to adjacent cupboard door is specified. Minimum inside height and width are outlined. Minimum clearance to corner cupboard is provided. Minimum inside depth is noted, including door panels on adjacent cabinetry. Refer to 'Plumbing & electrical considerations' and 'Cabinetry preparation' for service requirements.
  • Page 8: Plumbing and electrical considerations are essential for installation. Services can be installed on either the left or right-hand side of the product. Drain hoses can be extended with a Fisher & Paykel drain hose extension kit. The recommended water temperature is hot, with a maximum of 60°C. Water connection must comply with local plumbing regulations. Water pressure specifications vary for water softener and non-water softener models. Electrical requirements include a voltage range of 220–240 V AC and a minimum of 4.2A. Dimensions for drain hoses, power cords, and inlet hoses are specified for proper installation. Minimum distances from the floor to various components are outlined for safe installation. Maximum distance from cabinetry center to electrical outlet is specified.
  • Page 9: Cabinetry preparation Service access Moisture protection We recommend locating the service holes on either side of the DishDrawer. Ensure the edges are smooth and rounded if the hole is created through wood. Ensure the edge protector is fitted if the hole is created through metal. Align the supplied moisture protection tape to the cabinetry as illustrated. Ensure this area is free of debris before carefully applying the tape. If there are no side partitions, construct timber bracing to secure the fixings to. Select cabinetry securing method: Method A - Secure to cabinetry via brackets; Method B - Secure via drawer removal.
  • Page 10: Secure all four side brackets to the DishDrawer™ Dishwasher, aligning bracket A with slot A and bracket B with slot B. Secure to cabinetry via the brackets. Pre-drilling a pilot hole may be required depending on the cabinetry material. Ensure the ends of the brackets are not pushed into the chassis. Push the product into the cavity, pulling the hoses through as you push to avoid crushing or twisting them. Replace the trim cover and repeat for the remaining brackets. Push the product in the positions illustrated to avoid denting the door. Partially open the drawer and remove the first screw cover from the trim moulding.
  • Page 11: Secure to cabinetry via drawer removal (method B). Push the product into the cavity, pulling the hoses through to avoid crushing or twisting them. Secure to cabinetry via all three fixing locations in the chassis. Push the product in the positions illustrated to avoid denting the door. Ensure sound insulation is replaced correctly. Open the drawer and press both locking tabs back to release. Before refitting the drawer, ensure the hoses are not twisted. Refit the drawer to the runners and clip into place via both locking tabs. Lift the drawer off the runners and carefully set aside on a protected surface. Take care not to pull the drawer out too far to prevent any strain on the hoses.
  • Page 12: Plumbing & electrical connection Sink trap/waste tee installation Install the drain hose support to the back wall, as close to the underside of the countertop as possible. Refer to ‘Plumbing & electrical considerations’ for minimum install heights. Ensure the drain hose does not extend into water retained in the trap; an air gap is required to prevent waste water from siphoning back into the tub. Ensure hose is routed straight to the joiner, removing excess drain hose if necessary. Unplug or drill out the waste tee before securing joiner to sink trap or waste tee. Ensure the supplied rubber washer is fitted to the coupling before connecting the inlet hose to tap. The DishDrawer™ Dishwasher must be powered on for the flood protection feature to be enabled.
  • Page 13: Installer checklist to be completed by the installer includes several key areas of focus. Ensure all electrical tests have been conducted in accordance with local regulations. Check all parts are installed correctly and are secure. Ensure the DishDrawer™ Dishwasher is securely fastened to the cabinetry and drawer opens and closes freely with no resistance. Turn on the power and water supplies, then open the drawer to hear a beep and see a program indicator light up on the control panel. Ensure any packaging or tape securing the racks and spray arm is removed. Check the spray arm is in place, mounted correctly, and rotates freely. Ensure any knock-outs or plugs in the drain connection have been drilled out and the drain connection has been made. After the rinse cycle has finished, ensure the dishwasher has run and drained correctly. If connecting the drain hose to the sink trap, ensure the highloop is a minimum of 150mm higher than the drain hose joiner. Ensure water supply is turned off until power is connected and turned on for the flood protection feature to be enabled.
  • Page 14: Troubleshooting for DD24SD, DD24S, DD24ST4N, and DD24ST4Z models includes various issues and solutions. The DishDrawer may beep continuously due to a water supply fault. Ensure the water supply is turned on and power is connected. If no program indicator lights up, press to stop the beeping and clear the fault. The drawer may not close properly if obstructed by hoses or drawer latches. Check for leaks around water supply and drain connections. If the spray arm has loosened, re-fit it and ensure it turns freely. Misaligned front panels may indicate low water pressure or excessive foaming. Refer to the user guide for additional troubleshooting if problems persist. For warranty details or further assistance, consult the Service & Warranty book.
