- Page 6: The lamp goes off when you close the door or switch the appliance off. The appliance has an internal lamp that comes on when you open the door or switch the appliance on while the door is open. The control panel includes an On/Off button, Delay Start button, Display, Extras buttons, and AUTO Sense program button. The ECOMETER indicates how the programme selection impacts energy and water consumption. The more bars are on, the lower the consumption is. The ECOMETER indicates the most environmentally friendly programme selection for a normally soiled dishwashing load. The rinse aid indicator is on when the rinse aid dispenser needs refilling. The salt indicator is on when the salt container needs refilling. The Machine Care indicator is on when the appliance needs internal cleaning with the Machine Care programme.
- Page 7: Drying phase indicator is on when a programme with the drying phase is selected. The appliance senses the degree of soil and the amount of dishes in the baskets. MY TIME selection bar allows selecting a suitable dishwashing cycle based on programme duration. You can adjust the programme selection to your needs by activating EXTRAS. ExtraSilent reduces the noise generated by the appliance, resulting in a longer programme duration. Quick is the shortest programme (30min) suitable for dishwashing a load with fresh and light soil. ExtraPower improves the dishwashing results by increasing the wash temperature and duration. 1h 30min is suitable for dishwashing and drying normally soiled items. ECO is the longest programme for efficient energy and water consumption for normally soiled crockery and cutlery. GlassCare prevents delicate loads from damaging by reducing rapid temperature changes during the dishwashing cycle.
- Page 8: Programmes overview Dishwasher programmes vary based on the degree of soil and type of load. Quick programme is designed for fresh crockery and cutlery with a 50 °C wash. The ECO programme is suitable for normal to heavy soiled items, operating at 60 °C. ExtraSilent programme operates at 50 °C for lightly soiled items, ensuring quiet operation. AUTO Sense adjusts the wash cycle based on the load, ranging from 50 to 60 °C. Machine care is essential for cleaning the appliance interior. Consumption values include water usage, energy consumption, and duration for each programme.
- Page 9: Programme values for water, energy, and duration are provided for various settings. The pressure, temperature, mains supply variations, options, quantity of dishes, and degree of soil can affect these values. Values for programmes other than ECO are indicative only. Basic settings can be configured according to user needs. Water hardness can be adjusted from level 1L to level 10L. Rinse aid level can be adjusted from level 0A to level 6A. The end sound can be activated or deactivated for programme completion. Auto door open feature can be activated or deactivated. Key tones can be turned on or off for button presses. The latest programme selection can be enabled or disabled for automatic selection of the most recently used programme.
- Page 10: Number setting allows you to activate or deactivate the TimeBeam. You can change the basic settings in setting mode. To enter setting mode, press and hold the designated buttons for about 3 seconds. When in setting mode, the bars of the ECOMETER represent available settings. You cannot enter setting mode while a programme is running. To change a setting, select the desired bar on the ECOMETER and press OK. The current setting value will flash, allowing you to change it using Previous or Next. Press OK to confirm the new setting, which will then be saved. The appliance returns to the basic settings list after saving. The water softener removes minerals from the water supply.
- Page 11: Water hardness can have a negative effect on washing results. Your local water authority can advise you on the hardness of the water in your area. Set the right level of the water softener to assure good washing results. The higher the content of minerals, the harder your water is. Water hardness is measured in equivalent scales. The water softener should be adjusted according to the hardness of the water in your area. Multi-tabs containing salt are not effective enough to soften hard water. For the correct water softener operation, the resin of the softener device needs to be regenerated regularly. This regeneration process is automatic and is part of the normal dishwasher operation. A new regeneration process will be initiated between the final rinse and the programme end after the prescribed quantity of water has been used.
- Page 12: In case of the high water softener setting, regeneration initiation has no impact on the cycle duration unless it occurs in the middle of a programme or at the end of a programme with a short drying phase. For best drying performance, always use rinse aid and keep the rinse aid indicator active. You can activate an acoustic signal that sounds when the programme is completed. The rinsing of the water softener lasts 5 minutes and increases total water consumption by additional 4 litres. Acoustic signals sound also when a malfunction of the appliance occurs and cannot be deactivated. AirDry improves the drying results by automatically opening the appliance door during the drying phase. Each performed softener rinse may prolong the programme duration by another 5 minutes. The rinse aid helps to dry the dishes without streaks and stains and is automatically released during the hot rinse phase. The rinse aid indicator notifies when the rinse aid chamber is empty. Do not try to close the appliance door within 2 minutes after automatic opening to avoid damage.
- Page 13: TimeBeam displays information on the floor below the appliance door. If children have access to the appliance, it is advised to deactivate AirDry due to potential danger from the automatic opening of the door. The programme duration is shown when the programme begins and displays CLEAN when completed. The countdown duration is displayed when the delay start begins. An alarm code appears when the appliance has a malfunction. The buttons on the control panel make a click sound when pressed, which can be deactivated. TimeBeam is off when AirDry opens the door; check the control panel display for remaining time. You can set the automatic selection of the most recently used programme and options. The latest programme is saved and selected automatically after activating the appliance. Make sure the current level of the water softener matches the hardness of the water supply before first use.
- Page 14: The salt container How to fill the rinse aid dispenser Use rough salt designed for dishwashers only. Fine salt increases the risk of corrosion. The salt is used to recharge the resin in the water softener and to assure good washing results in daily use. Only use rinse aid designed specifically for dishwashers. Fill the rinse aid dispenser when the indicator is clear. Water and salt can come out of the salt container when you fill it. After you fill the salt container, immediately start the shortest programme to prevent corrosion. Remove the spilled rinse aid with an absorbent cloth to prevent excessive foam formation. Make sure that the lid locks into position.
- Page 15: Daily use involves several steps for operating the appliance effectively. Open the water tap and check the maximum filling level for the dispenser. Press and hold to activate the appliance. Fill the salt container and rinse aid dispenser if they are empty. Load the baskets and add the detergent. To select and start a programme, slide your finger across the MY TIME selection bar. The ECOMETER indicates the level of energy and water consumption. Activate applicable EXTRAS if desired before starting the programme. Use detergent specifically designed for dishwashers. For detergent dosage, refer to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
- Page 16: It is not possible to activate or deactivate options while a programme is running. If you cancel the delay start, you have to select the programme again. Not all options are compatible with each other. Opening the door while a programme is running pauses the wash cycle. The appliance senses the type of load and adjusts a suitable wash cycle. If you open the door during the delay start countdown, the countdown is paused. During the countdown, you cannot change the delay time and the programme selection. The Auto Off function saves energy by switching the appliance off when it is not operating. When the programme is completed, the appliance will switch off automatically. After 5 minutes if a programme was not started, the appliance will switch off.
- Page 17: The Auto Off function switches the appliance off automatically. When the programme is complete, the display shows 0:00. Follow the hints below to ensure optimal cleaning and drying results in daily use and to protect the environment. Washing dishes in the dishwasher as instructed in the user manual usually consumes less water and energy than washing dishes by hand. Load the dishwasher to its full capacity to save water and energy. Only use salt, rinse aid and detergent designed for dishwasher. Other products can cause damage to the appliance. Detergent tablets do not fully dissolve with short programmes. Always use the correct quantity of detergent. Insufficient dosage can result in poor cleaning results. Do not pre-rinse dishes by hand. It increases the water and energy consumption. Select a programme according to the type of load and the degree of soil. ECO offers the most efficient use of water and energy consumption.
- Page 18: Machine care is a programme designed to clean the appliance interior with optimal results. Check the filters and the sump after each use of the dishwasher. Foreign objects decrease the cleaning performance and can cause damage to the drain pump. When the appliance senses the need for cleaning, the indicator for the machine care programme is on. Use a descaler or a cleaning product designed specifically for dishwashers. Clean the appliance with a moist soft cloth. Only use neutral detergents and do not use abrasive products. The filter system is made of 3 parts. To maintain the performance of your appliance, use a cleaning product designed specifically for dishwashers at least once every two months. Wipe clean the door, including the rubber gasket, once a week.
- Page 19: Reassemble the filters (B) and (C). Put back the filter (B) in the flat filter (A). Remove the filter (C) out of filter (B). Wash the filters. An incorrect position of the filters can cause bad washing results and damage to the appliance. We recommend cleaning the lower spray arm regularly to prevent soil from clogging the holes. Clogged holes can cause unsatisfactory washing results. Make sure that there are no residues of food or soil in or around the edge of the sump. Put back in place the flat filter (A). To remove the lower spray arm, pull it upwards.
- Page 20: To detach the spray arm from the basket, press the spray arm upwards and simultaneously turn it clockwise. Wash the spray arm under running water. Use a thin pointed tool, e.g. a toothpick, to remove particles of soil from the holes. To install the spray arm back, press it downwards. To install the spray arm back, press the spray arm upwards and simultaneously turn it counterclockwise until it locks into place. We recommend cleaning the upper spray arm regularly to prevent soil from clogging the holes. Clogged holes can cause unsatisfactory washing results. Pull out the upper basket.
- Page 21: Move the upper basket to the lowest level to reach the spray arm more easily. To detach the spray arm from the delivery tube, turn the mounting element counterclockwise and pull the spray arm downwards. Wash the spray arm under running water.
