• Page 4: Safety Observe the following safety instructions. Read this instruction manual carefully. Keep the instruction manual and the product information safe for future reference or for the next owner. Do not connect the appliance if it has been damaged in transit. Only use this appliance for cleaning household tableware. This appliance may be used by children aged 8 or over and by people with reduced abilities, provided they are supervised or instructed on safe use. Do not let children play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised. Keep children under the age of 8 years away from the appliance and power cable. Improper installation may cause injury.
• Page 5: Safety Warning - Risk of electric shock. Incorrect installation is dangerous. Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance with the specifications on the rating plate. Always use the supplied power cable for the new appliance. Connect the appliance to a power supply with alternating current only via a properly installed socket with earthing. Never equip the appliance with an external switching device, e.g. a timer or remote control. When the appliance is installed, the mains plug of the power cord must be freely accessible. Cutting through the supply hose or immersing the Aqua-Stop valve in water is dangerous. Warning - Risk of fire. It is dangerous to use an extended power cord and non-approved adapters.

Check that there is a distance of at least 5 cm between the appliance and installation lines. Hinges move when opening and closing the appliance door and can cause injury. Never operate an appliance with a cracked or fractured surface. If the appliance or the power cord is damaged, immediately unplug the power cord or switch off the fuse. Repairs to the appliance should only be carried out by trained specialist staff. Risk to children Warning - Risk of suffocation! Keep packaging material away from children. Do not let children play with small parts. Use the childproof lock if fitted.

Children may get their fingers caught in the slots of the tablet collecting tray and injure themselves. Keep children away from the appliance when open. Safety systems protect children from possible hazards resulting from the appliance. The appliance is equipped with a childproof lock.
• Page 10: Preventing material damage Modified or damaged water hoses may result in material damage and damage to the appliance. Never kink, crush, modify or cut through water hoses. • Page 11: Childproof lock The childproof lock lets you protect children from possible hazards resulting from the appliance. The appliance is equipped with a door lock. The door lock is a mechanical safety system and makes it more difficult to open the appliance door. Activate the door lock and close the appliance door. Children may become trapped in the appliance and thus suffocate. The door lock remains activated until it is deactivated manually. Disposing of packaging The packaging materials are environmentally compatible and can be recycled. Sort the individual components by type and dispose of them separately.
• Page 12: Installation and connection If you follow these instructions, your appliance will use less electricity and less water. You can position your built-under or integrable appliance in a fitted kitchen between wooden and plastic walls. If you subsequently install your dishwasher as a free-standing appliance, you must stop it from tipping over. Use the Eco 50° programme, which is energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. Follow the safety instructions. Follow the instructions for electrical connection to ensure proper operation. Check the scope of supply and the condition of the appliance. Make the appliance level using the height-adjustable feet. Install the drainage connection so dirty water is discharged via the wash cycle. During the wash cycle tablets automatically fall out of the detergent dispenser into the tablet collecting tray where they can fully dissolve. The upper spray arms wash the tableware in the top basket. If the tableware has not been washed properly, clean the spray arms. The lower spray arm washes the tableware in the bottom basket. Cutlery basket. Add rinse aid to the dispenser for rinse aid.

• Page 17: You can find an overview of the programmes that can be selected here. Different programmes are available depending on the appliance configuration. The running time may vary depending on the programme selected. The running time depends on the water temperature, the quantity of tableware, the level of soiling, and the additional function selected. The consumption values can be found in the quick reference guide. The consumption values relate to normal conditions and a water hardness of 9 - 20 °E. Intensive programme is for pots and pans, non-fragile tableware, and cutlery with stubborn, burned, or dried-on food remnants. Eco programme is the most economical for mixed tableware and cutlery with lightly dried-on food remnants. Night program is designed for reduced noise while cleaning mixed tableware and cutlery. Express programme is time-optimised for mixed tableware and cutlery with lightly dried-on food remnants.
• Page 18: Programmes The relatively long running time in the Eco 50 ° programme is due to longer soaking and drying times. This results in optimal consumption values. Information for test institutes Test institutes are provided with information for comparability tests, e.g. according to EN60436. ExtraDry: For a better drying result, the final rinse temperature is increased and the drying phase is extended. Especially suitable for drying plastic parts. Extra Rinse: An additional rinse cycle is activated between the cleaning and final rinse programme cycles. This will increase the running time and water consumption. IntensiveZone: Switch on with mixed loads containing tableware with different soiling levels. The spray pressure in the bottom basket is increased. SpeedPerfect+: The run time is shortened by 15% to 75% depending on the rinse programme. Energy and water consumption are increased.
• Page 20: Features of the appliance and how to use them are provided. The features depend on the model of your appliance. Arrange cups, glasses, and small items of tableware in the top basket. You can adjust the height of the top basket for larger items. Check that the basket is level on both sides. To wash large items, adjust the shelf position of the top basket. Remove the basket to make adjustments. Re-attach the basket to the upper or lower rollers. Slide the basket back in after adjustments. Pull out the top basket to begin the adjustment process.
• Page 21: Features Use the shelf for knives and long items of cutlery. Arrange pans and plates in the bottom basket. Large plates up to a diameter of 31 cm can be arranged in the bottom basket as shown. Use the cutlery shelf and space underneath for small cups and glasses or for large items of cutlery, e.g. cooking spoons or serving cutlery. If you do not need the cutlery shelf, you can fold it up.
• Page 22: Add special salt. Add rinse aid. Arrange cutlery in the cutlery basket, always without sorting it and with the sharp points downwards. Switch on the appliance. Setting the water softening system. Set the amount of rinse aid to be dispensed. Add detergent. Start the programme with the highest cleaning temperature without tableware. Performing the initial configuration. Hard water leaves limescale on the tableware as well as the washing tank.
• Page 23: Water softening system Hardness levels are categorized as soft, medium, and hard. Set the water hardness determined on your appliance. Press repeatedly until the right water hardness has been set. With a water hardness of 0 - 8 °E, you can dispense with special salt for dishwashers. The factory setting is level 1. To save the settings, press for 3 seconds. You can use special salt to soften water. If the special salt refill indicator lights up, add special salt to the dispenser. Only fill the dispenser of the water softening system with special dishwasher salt.
• Page 24: Water softening system Special salt for dishwashers can damage the tub due to corrosion. To make sure that any special salt that escapes is washed out of the tub, add the special salt to the dispenser for special salt immediately before the programme starts. If you find the special salt refill indicator irritating, you can switch the indicator off. Only switch off the water softening system if the water hardness is max. 26 °E and you are using a combined detergent with salt replacement substances. Only use special salt for dishwashers. Do not use salt tablets or table salt. You do not need to use special salt if the water hardness is 0 - 8 °E. To open the appliance settings, press the appropriate button until no LED lights up (level 0). Fill the dispenser right up with special salt. The water in the dispenser is displaced and forced out. To save the settings, press the designated button for 3 seconds. The water softening system is switched off and the salt refill indicator is deactivated.
• Page 25: Rinse aid system Close the lid of the dispenser for rinse aid. For optimum drying results, use rinse aid. Only use rinse aid for domestic dishwashers. If there are streaks or water marks on tableware, change the amount of rinse aid. Add rinse aid up to the max mark. The factory setting is level 2. A low setting adds less rinse aid during the wash cycle and reduces streaking on tableware. A higher setting adds more rinse aid during the wash cycle, reduces water marks, and improves the drying result. Spilled rinse aid can cause excessive frothing during the wash cycle.
• Page 26: Detergent Follow the manufacturer's instructions for each detergent. Suitable detergents are available online or from Customer Service. If you find the rinse aid refill indicator irritating, you can switch the rinse aid system off. The function of rinse aid is limited with combined detergents; better results are generally achieved using rinse aid. Tabs are suitable for all cleaning functions and do not need to be measured out. Powder detergent is recommended for shorter programmes, with dosage adjustable to the level of soiling. Liquid detergent works faster and is recommended for shorter programmes without PreRinse. Only use detergents that are suitable for dishwashers; both separate and combined detergents are acceptable. For optimum washing and drying results, use separate detergent along with special salt and rinse aid separately. Modern detergents mainly use a low-alkaline formulation with enzymes to break down starch and remove protein.
• Page 27: Detergent For better washing and drying results and to avoid damage to the appliance, please additionally use special salt and rinse aid. Information on detergents Follow the instructions on detergents in everyday use. Detergents marked as organic or ecological generally contain lower levels of active agents or completely dispense with certain substances. Combined detergent products contain not only detergent but also rinse aid and salt replacement substances. According to the manufacturers, combined detergents generally only function up to a water hardness of 26 °E. Set the rinse aid and the water softening system to the separate detergent or combined detergent in use. To prevent sticking, only touch detergents in a water-soluble pouch with dry hands. Do not use detergent which could cause damage to the appliance or present a risk to health. The function of rinse aid is limited with combined detergents. Hand washing-up liquid can cause increased frothing and damage the appliance.
• Page 28: Damage to glass and tableware can occur if not handled properly. Only put glasses and china in the dishwasher if marked as dishwasher-safe by the manufacturer. Avoid using highly caustic alkaline or highly acidic cleaning agents in the dishwasher. Only put tableware in the dishwasher if it is marked as dishwasher-safe by the manufacturer. Select a program with lower temperatures for sensitive items. Take glassware and cutlery out of the appliance without delay after the program has ended. Arrange tableware correctly to optimize the dishwashing result and prevent damage. Using the appliance allows you to save energy and water compared to washing by hand. Load the machine with the specified number of place settings to save energy and water. Use a detergent marked by the manufacturer as gentle on tableware.
• Page 29: For better washing and drying results, position items with curves or recesses at an angle so water can run off. Remove large remnants of food from tableware. Hot tableware can cause burns to the skin. When the programme has ended, do not empty the appliance until the tableware has cooled down for a while. To save resources, do not pre-rinse tableware under running water. Put heavily soiled tableware in the bottom basket, e.g. pans. To prevent damage to tableware, arrange it so it is stable and cannot tip over. Unload tableware starting at the bottom and working up to prevent water dripping on it. Check the washing tank and accessories for soiling and clean if necessary. Arrange cutlery with the points and sharp edges facing down to prevent injury.
• Page 30: If the childproof lock is activated, press the catch of the lock to the right door and open the appliance. You can set additional functions to complete the washing programme selected. The additional functions which can be used depend on the programme selected. You can delay the start of the programme by 3, 6 or 9 hours. The Eco 50° programme is set by default. If you do not perform any actions on the appliance for 10 minutes, it will switch off automatically. To adjust the washing programme to the soiling level of the tableware, select a suitable programme. The programme has ended when no indicators on the controls light up. If you want to add more tableware while the appliance is running, do not use the tablet collecting tray as a handle for the top basket. Depending on the appliance specifications.
• Page 31: operation You can only change a programme when running if you cancel it. If you press during the wash cycle, the programme currently running will be interrupted. The appliance switches off automatically 1 minute after the end of the programme to save energy. Set the amount of rinse aid to be dispensed or switch off. Switch Extra Dry on or off for each operation. For a better drying result, the temperature in the final rinse is increased. Adjustment of tone volume. Switch the wireless network connection on or off. This basic setting is not available until you have connected the appliance with the Home Connect app.

This basic setting requires connection with the Home Connect app. Factory setting Reset restores changed settings to the factory settings. Initial start-up settings must be configured after a factory reset. Setting Extra Dry can be adjusted through the appliance settings. Signal volume can also be adjusted through the appliance settings. LED indicators show the status of Extra Dry and signal volume settings. To save settings, press for 3 seconds. The factory setting for Extra Dry is level 2.
• Page 34: Home Connect To open the appliance settings, press for 3 seconds. If LED A lights up, the function is permanently deactivated. If LED A and LED B light up, the function can be selected using the button. If LED A, LED B and LED C light up, the function is permanently activated. The factory setting is level 2 (LED A and LED B). If LED A is not lit up, the wireless network connection is switched off. If LED A is lit up, the wireless network connection is switched on. To save the settings, press for 3 seconds. This appliance is network-capable. Connect your appliance to a mobile device to control its functions via the Home Connect app.

To use Home Connect, you must first set up the connection to the WLAN home network and to the Home Connect app. The Home Connect app guides you through the entire login process. Requirements include having the Home Connect app installed on your mobile device and ensuring the appliance is receiving signals from the WLAN home network. Follow the instructions in the Home Connect app to configure the settings. Please consult the documents supplied by Home Connect and follow the instructions in the Home Connect app. Note the safety precautions in this instruction manual and ensure they are observed when operating the appliance via the Home Connect app. You can use the Home Connect app to start the appliance with your mobile device. If you activate the Remote Start function in the Basic settings, you can start your appliance with a mobile device at any time. Start the Home Connect app and set up access for Home Connect.
• Page 36: Cleaning and servicing To keep your appliance working efficiently for a long time, it is important to clean and maintain it carefully. Never use detergents containing chlorine. Remove any coarse soiling in the interior with a damp cloth. Add detergent to the detergent dispenser. Select the programme with the highest temperature. Start the programme without tableware. Only use suitable cleaning products to clean your appliance. This initial registration prepares the Home Connect functions for use. Information on data protection can be retrieved in the Home Connect app. The appliance is connected to your WLAN home network.
• Page 37: Cleaning and servicing Turn the coarse filter anticlockwise and remove the filter system. Follow the tips on appliance care to make sure your appliance functions properly at all times. Check that no foreign objects fall into the sump. Wipe the door seals, the front of the dishwasher, and the control panel regularly using a damp cloth and washing-up liquid. This ensures the appliance will remain clean and hygienic. If the appliance is not going to be used for a while, leave the door slightly ajar. This will prevent unpleasant odours. The filter system removes coarse soiling from the dishwashing cycle. After each wash check the filters for residue. Clean the filter elements under running water.
• Page 38: Cleaning and servicing Carefully clean the rim of dirt between the coarse and the fine filter. Limescale and soiling in the dishwashing water may block the nozzles and bearings on the spray arms. Clean the spray arms regularly. Unscrew the upper spray arms and pull down to remove. Re-assemble the filter system. Make sure that the locking catches on the coarse filter click into position. Insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise. Check the outlet nozzles on the spray arms for blockages under running water and remove any foreign bodies. Insert the lower spray arm. The spray arm clicks into position. Insert the upper spray arms and screw firmly in place.
• Page 39: Troubleshooting You can rectify minor faults on your appliance yourself. Read the troubleshooting information before contacting after-sales service. This will avoid unnecessary costs. Repairs to the appliance should only be carried out by trained specialist staff. Only use genuine spare parts when repairing the appliance. If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced with a special connection cable. Display for water supply lights up: Install the supply hose without kinks. Water tap is turned off: Turn on the water tap. Water tap is jammed or furred up: Turn on the water tap. The filters in the water connection of the supply or AquaStop hose are blocked: Switch off the appliance and pull out the mains plug. Unscrew the water connection and remove the filter from the supply hose. Clean the filter.
• Page 40: Troubleshooting Display for water supply lights up Re-insert the filter in the supply hose. Check the water connection for leaks. Wastewater hose is blocked or kinked. Reposition the wastewater hose without kinks. Siphon connection is still sealed. Check the connection to the siphon and open if necessary. Display Check water supply flashes. A technical fault is present. Appliance door is not closed properly.
• Page 41: Troubleshooting All LEDs lit up or flashing indicates a fault detected by the electronics. To reset the appliance, press the main switch button for approximately 4 seconds. If the problem recurs, switch off the appliance and pull out the mains plug or switch off the fuse. Wait at least 2 minutes before switching on the fuse or reinserting the mains plug. If the issue persists, contact customer service. Remnants of food on tableware may be due to items being placed too close together or an overfilled basket. Arrange tableware with sufficient space to ensure spray jets can reach all surfaces. Avoid points of contact that may block the spray arm rotation. Clean the spray arms if the nozzles are blocked. Ensure filters are clean and properly inserted and engaged.
• Page 42: Troubleshooting Fault Cause and troubleshooting Remnants of food on tableware. Select a more intensive washing programme. Tall narrow receptacles in corner areas are not rinsed adequately. Do not position tall narrow receptacles at too great an angle or in corner areas. Top baskets on right and left are not set to the same height. Set the upper basket on the left and right to the same height. Removable streaks are present on glasses, glassware with a metallic appearance and cutlery. Amount of rinse aid to be dispensed is set too high. Set the rinse aid system to a lower setting. No rinse aid has been added. Add rinse aid. Detergent residue is present in the final rinse. Arrange tableware in the top basket so the tab collecting tray is not obstructed by tableware. Rust spots on cutlery. Use rust-resistant tableware. Do not wash rusting items. Salt content in washing water is too high. Remove any spilled special salt from the tub. Detergent residue is present in the detergent dispenser or the tablet collecting tray. Check that the spray arms are not blocked and can rotate freely.
• Page 43: Troubleshooting Fault Cause and troubleshooting Detergent residue is present in the detergent dispenser or the tablet collecting tray. Detergent dispenser was damp when detergent was added. Only add detergent to a detergent dispenser when dry. Special salt refill indicator lights up. Insufficient special salt. Add special salt. Sensor does not detect special salt tablets. Do not use special salt tablets.
• Page 44: Transportation, storage and disposal Insert the pump cover down and press. Clean wastewater pump. Large remnants of food or foreign bodies can block the wastewater pump. As soon as the rinsing water no longer drains properly, the wastewater pump must be cleaned. Risk of injury! Sharp and pointed objects or fragments of glass may block the wastewater pump and cause injury. Remove any foreign bodies carefully. The pump cover clicks into position. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply. Removing the appliance involves disconnecting from the mains power supply and turning off the water tap. Pull the appliance out carefully, along with the hose behind it.
