■ When loading items to be washed:  

■ Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a  

hot water system that has not been used for two weeks or  

more. HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE. If the hot water system  

has not been used for such a period, before using the  

dishwasher turn on all hot water faucets and let the water flow  

from each for several minutes. This will release any  

1) Locate sharp items so that they are not likely to damage the  

door seal; and  

2) Load sharp knives with the handles up to reduce the risk of  

cut-type injuries.

• Page 2: WARNING: Do not use dishwasher until completely installed. Do not push down on open door; doing so can result in serious injury or cuts. The dishwasher must be grounded to reduce the risk of electric shock. Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Your dishwasher has the latest technology in dishwasher filtration, optimizing water and energy conservation. Efficient dishwashers run longer to save water and energy. To avoid damage, do not operate your dishwasher without filters properly installed. Press start/resume every time you add a dish. The filters may need to be cleaned when visible objects or soils are on the upper filter assembly. Rinse aid is essential for good drying performance.
• Page 3: Operating your dishwasher involves several key steps. Prepare and load the dishwasher, ensuring that all arms spin freely. Add detergent just before starting a cycle, using only automatic dishwasher detergent. If not running a wash cycle soon, run a rinse cycle without detergent. Remove leftover food and labels from containers before washing. Load items with soiled surfaces facing down and inward to improve cleaning. Use premeasured detergents for better results and avoid overlapping items. Place plastics and small items in the upper rack, and only wash items marked dishwasher safe. When loading silverware, point sharp items down and avoid nesting. The amount of detergent needed depends on soil level and water hardness. Follow package instructions for different types of dishwasher detergents.
• Page 4: Add rinse aid for good drying performance. Without rinse aid, dishes and dishwasher interior will have excessive moisture. Efficient dishwashers run longer to save water and energy. Typical cycle time is approximately 2½ hours, but can vary. Rinse aid keeps water from forming droplets that can dry as spots or streaks. It improves drying by allowing water to drain off dishes after the final rinse. You can customize your cycles by pressing the desired options. If an invalid option is selected, the lights will flash. Run hot water at the sink nearest your dishwasher until the water is hot before starting a cycle. Push the door firmly closed within 3 seconds of pressing Start/Resume. If not closed in time, the Start indicator will flash. If experiencing poor drying performance, try a higher rinse aid setting. Press Start/Resume to repeat the same cycle and options as in the previous wash cycle. The Sensor Wash cycle adjusts for optimal cleaning using only the amount of water and energy needed. Use the 1 Hour Wash for fast results, which cleans dishes using slightly more water and energy.
• Page 5: Heavy wash raises the main wash temperature to improve cleaning for loads containing tough, baked-on food. Normal wash raises the temperature from 105°F (41°C) to 140°F (60°C). Sensor wash raises the temperature with the power of steam before final rinse to help enhance shine and reduce glass spots. Sanitizes dishes and glassware in accordance with National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)/ANSI Standard 184 for residential dishwashers. The Sani indicator indicates at the end of the cycle whether the Sanitize option was successfully completed. Precision Dry® + option dries dishes with heat and a fan, providing the best drying performance with rinse aid. Runs the dishwasher at a later time or during off-peak electrical hours with the 4 Hour Delay option. Control lock avoids unintended use of the dishwasher between cycles or during a cycle. To turn on lock, press and hold CONTROL LOCK or 4 HOUR DELAY for 3 seconds. The dishwasher door can still be opened/closed while the controls are locked.
• Page 6: Control To start or resume, press Start/Resume and push the door firmly closed within 3 seconds. If the door is not closed within 3 seconds, the Start/Resume indicator will flash, and the cycle will not start. To reset any cycle, press CANCEL/DRAIN to reset any control selections made. To cancel a wash cycle after it's started, see the relevant sections in the full online User Guide. To turn the audible tones on or off, press and hold the Super Scrub button for 3 seconds. The Clean indicator glows when a cycle is finished. If you select the Sanitize option, the Sanitized indicator glows when the cycle is finished. The Clean and Sanitized lights go off when you open and close the door or press CANCEL. Dishwasher Care Check and clean the drain air gap if the dishwasher isn't draining well. Clean the exterior of the dishwasher with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Recommended use of a monthly maintenance product such as affresh Dishwasher Cleaner. When not using the dishwasher during summer months, turn off the water and power supply. Make sure the water supply lines are protected against freezing conditions. Damage from freezing is not covered by the warranty. When storing your dishwasher in winter, have it winterized by authorized service personnel.

Dishes do not dry completely Plastic and items with nonstick surfaces are difficult to dry because they have a porous surface which tends to collect water droplets. Use of rinse aid along with the Precision Dry® or Precision Dry®+ option is needed for proper drying. Proper loading of items can affect drying. Spotting/Filming Liquid rinse aid is necessary for drying and to reduce spotting. Confirm that the cloudiness is removable by soaking the item in white vinegar for 5 minutes. Be sure the incoming water temperature is set at 120°F (49°C). Dishwasher does not clean completely Be sure the dishwasher is loaded correctly. Improper loading can greatly decrease the washing performance. Select the proper cycle for the type of soils. Use the proper amount of fresh detergent.
• Page 8: Warranty One year limited warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. Second through fifth year limited warranty applies to specific components like dish racks and electronic controls. Lifetime limited warranty on stainless steel tub and inner door liner covers defects for the lifetime of the product. Your sole and exclusive remedy under the limited warranty shall be product repair. Items not covered include service calls for installation issues and replacement of consumable parts. Damage from misuse, accidents, or unauthorized modifications is not covered. The warranty is valid only in the United States and Canada. Implied warranties are limited to one year or the shortest period allowed by law. Jenn-Air makes no representations about the quality or need for service beyond this warranty. Proof of original purchase date is required to obtain service under the limited warranty.

Utilisation du lave-vaisselle Utiliser les encoches des couvercles et respecter les modes de chargement suggérés pour un lavage optimal. Vérifier que les bras d'aspersion tournent librement. Enlever les restes alimentaires, os, cure-dents et autres articles durs de la vaisselle. Utiliser uniquement du détergent pour lave-vaisselle automatique. Pour de meilleurs résultats de lavage, il est recommandé d'utiliser un détergent à lave-vaisselle automatique frais. Détergents pré-mesurés Beaucoup de détergents sont vendus en format pré-mesuré. Il est prouvé que les détergents pour lave-vaisselle en pastilles ou en sachets réduisent plus efficacement la formation de pellicule sur la vaisselle. L'utilisation d’un agent de rinçage peut aussi vous aider à réduire la fréquence de formation de cette pellicule blanche. Lors du chargement des couverts, toujours charger les articles acérés pointés vers le bas.
• Page 12: Contrôler le niveau de dureté de l'eau pour vérifier qu'il n'y a pas de traces circulaires ou de taches sur la vaisselle avant d'ajouter de l'agent de rinçage ou d'ajuster le réglage effectué à l'usine. La quantité de détergent à utiliser dépend du degré de saleté de la vaisselle et de la dureté de l'eau. Verser l'agent de rinçage est essentiel pour obtenir un séchage satisfaisant. Un agent de rinçage empêche l'eau de former des gouttelettes qui peuvent laisser des taches ou des coulées en séchant. Les lave-vaisselle éconergiques fonctionnent plus longtemps pour économiser de l’eau et de l’énergie. Il est important de bien fermer la porte dans les 3 secondes suivant l’appui sur la touche START/RESUME. Si l'on ouvre la porte pendant le fonctionnement, il faudra appuyer sur le bouton START/RESUME à chaque fois. Le programme de lavage avec détection adapte le programme à la taille de la charge, la quantité et le degré de saleté. Utiliser le programme recommandé pour entièrement laver une charge complète de vaisselle présentant un degré de saleté normal. Ces renseignements couvrent plusieurs modèles différents, et votre lave-vaisselle peut ne pas comporter tous les programmes et options indiqués.
• Page 13: Pour des résultats rapides, le lavage en 1 heure nettoie votre vaisselle en utilisant légèrement plus d'eau et d'énergie. Sélectionner l'option Precision Dry ou Precision Dry + pour accélérer les durées de séchage. Utiliser ce programme pour rincer la vaisselle, les verres et les couverts qui ne seront pas lavés immédiatement. Augmente la température du lavage principal pour améliorer le nettoyage de vaisselle difficile à nettoyer. Assainit la vaisselle et la verrerie conformément à la norme 184 (NSF)/ANSI de la National Sanitation Foundation. Pour désactiver le verrouillage, appuyer sur CONTROL LOCK ou sur 4 HOUR DELAY pendant 3 secondes. Si l'on ouvre la porte durant un programme, le témoin lumineux Start/Resume clignote. Appuyer sur CANCEL/DRAIN pour revenir à toute sélection de commande initiale. Pour activer ou désactiver les signaux sonores, appuyer sur le bouton Super Scrub pendant 3 secondes. L'indicateur Clean s’allume lorsqu'un programme est terminé. Si le lave-vaisselle n’a pas bien assaini la vaisselle, le témoin clignote à la fin du programme. Nettoyer l’extérieur du lave-vaisselle avec un chiffon doux et humide et un détergent doux.
• Page 15: Solutions recommandées La vaisselle n'est pas complètement sèche. Le plastique et les articles à surface anti-adhésive sont difficiles à sécher. Un séchage au torchon peut être nécessaire. Pour un bon séchage, utiliser un agent de rinçage avec l'option Precision Dry. Décharger le panier inférieur en premier. Vérifier que le robinet d'eau d'alimentation du lave-vaisselle est ouvert. Un agent de rinçage liquide est nécessaire pour le séchage et pour réduire les taches. Vérifier que la température d'eau d'entrée est réglée à 120°F (49°C). Inspecter le filtre pour s'assurer qu'il est bien installé. Garantie limitée de un an pour les pièces de rechange spécifiées par l'usine.
