FIRST TIME USE
This system regenerates itself with salt, therefore it is required to refill
salt container when empty.
Frequency of regeneration depends on water hardness level setting - regen-
eration takes place once per 6 Eco cycles with water hardness level set to 3.
Regeneration process starts in final rinse and finishes in drying phase, be-
fore cycle ends.
FILLING THE SALT RESERVOIR
The use of salt prevents the formation of LIMESCALE on the dishes and on
the machine’s functional components.
•
•
It is mandatory that the salt reservoir never be empty.
It is important to set the water hardness.
The salt reservoir is located in the lower part of the dishwasher and must be
filled when the SALT REFILL indicator light in the control panel is lit.
•
•
•
Single regeneration consumes: ~3.5L of water;
Takes up to 5 additional minutes for the cycle;
Consumes below 0.005kWh of energy.
1. Remove the lower rack and unscrew the reservoir cap
(anticlockwise).
2. Only the first time you do this: fill the salt reservoir
with water.
3. Position the funnel (see figure) and fill the salt reservoir
right up to its edge (approximately 1 kg); it is not unu-
sual for a little water to leak out.
FILLING THE RINSE AID DISPENSER
Rinse aid makes dish DRYING easier. The rinse aid
dispenser A should be filled when the RINSE AID
REFILL indicator light in the control panel is lit.
NEVER pour the rinse aid directly into the appli-
ance tub.
D
C
4. Remove the funnel and wipe any salt residue away from the opening.
Make sure the cap is screwed on tightly, so that no detergent can get into
the container during the wash program (this could damage the water sof-
tener beyond repair).
A
FILLING THE DETERGENT DISPENSER
To open the detergent dispenser use the opening device C. Introduce the
detergent into the dry dispenser D only. Place the amount of detergent for
pre-washing directly inside the tub. If all-in-one detergents are used, we
recommend using the TABLET button, because it adjusts the program so
that the best washing and drying results are always achieved.
Usage of detergent not designed for dishwashers may cause malfunc-
tion or damage to the appliance.
Whenever you need to add salt, it is mandatory to complete the pro-
cedure before the beginning of the washing cycle to avoid corrosion.
WATER SOFTENING SYSTEM
Water softener automatically reduces water hardness, consequently prevent-
ing scale buildup on heater, contributing also to better cleaning efficiency.

- Page 1: Quick guide Thank you for buying a Hotpoint Ariston product. Please scan the QR code on your appliance for more detailed information. Before using the appliance, carefully read safety and installation instructions. After installation, please remember to remove all transport protection parts from the dishwasher. Control panel includes various buttons and indicator lights for operation. This system regenerates itself with salt, therefore it is required to refill the salt container when empty. Rinse aid makes dish drying easier and should be filled when the rinse aid refill indicator light is lit. To open the detergent dispenser, use the opening device and introduce detergent into the dry dispenser only. Water softener automatically reduces water hardness, preventing scale buildup on the heater. Eco program is suitable to clean normally soiled tableware and is the most efficient program in terms of energy and water consumption.
- Page 2: Quick guide provides essential information about the dishwasher's ECO program data measured under laboratory conditions. Pre-treatment of dishes is not needed before any of the programs. Not all options can be used simultaneously, and values for non-Eco programs are indicative only. The sensor calibration can increase program duration up to 20 minutes. 3D Zone Wash option allows for energy savings or increased washing performance. The Tablet option should be off if using powder or liquid detergent. The Delay function allows program start to be postponed between 0:30 and 24 hours. ActiveDry is a convection drying system that opens the door during/after the drying phase for better performance. The lower rack has tip-up supports for easy loading of pans and salad bowls. 3D Zone Wash uses additional water jets to wash heavily soiled items more intensively.
- Page 3: Quick guide for troubleshooting issues with the dishwasher. Check for water supply or if the tap is closed if the dishwasher does not fill with water. Ensure the inlet hose is not bent and reprogram the dishwasher if necessary. Clean the sieve in the water inlet hose if it is clogged. Verify the drain hose is positioned at the correct height to prevent premature cycle completion. Check for siphoning into the home sewage system and install an air admittance valve if needed. Inspect the water supply for leaks to prevent air from entering. Additional product information can be accessed via the QR code on the product. Model information can be retrieved using the QR code on the energy label. Contact After-sales Service for assistance, providing the codes from the product's identification plate.
