When using the device for the first time or resetting it to factory settings, you must make settings. Tip: Connect your device to a mobile terminal. Required: The device is set up and connected.
- Page 23: Softening system Fill with rinse aid. You can change these settings and other basic settings at any time. Switch on device. Set water softening. Hard lime-containing water leaves limescale residues on the dishes and the rinse aid container and can clog parts of the appliance. To prevent damage to the device, water with a hardness level of more than 7 °dH must be softened. We recommend using the appliance without dishes before first use due to possible water stains and other residues. Here you will find an overview of the adjustable water hardness values. Set the appliance to the determined water hardness.
- Page 24: Softening system The rinse aid container can be corroded by dishwasher salt. To ensure that spilled softening salt is flushed from the rinse aid container, the softening salt must be filled into the softening salt reservoir immediately before the start of the program. Set the device to the water hardness. Determine the water hardness and the desired setting value. Only use special salt for dishwashers. Do not use salt tablets or table salt. The factory setting is H04. If the refill softening salt indicator lights up, top up the softening salt in the softening salt container immediately before starting the program. The consumption of softening salt depends on the degree of water hardness. Dishwashing detergent can damage the water softening system.
- Page 25: Softening system To maintain trouble-free operation of the water softening system, the device regularly performs a regeneration. To prevent damage to the device, only switch off the water softening in specific cases. The water softening system is regenerated in all programs before the end of the main washing cycle. The water hardness is max. 21 °dH and you use a combined dishwasher detergent with salt substitutes. Combined detergents with salt substitutes can only be used up to a hardness level of 21 °dH without adding softening salt. The water hardness is 0 - 6 °dH. You do not need to use softening salt. An overview of the maximum additional running time and consumption values when regenerating the water softening system is provided. The stated consumption values are laboratory measured values determined in accordance with the currently applicable standard. The water softening system has been switched on and the refill salt indicator is deactivated.
- Page 26: Final rinse system Overflowed rinse aid can lead to excessive foaming during the wash cycle. For optimal drying results, use the best rinse aid. Only use rinse aid for household dishwashers. If streaks or water spots remain on the dishes, adjust the amount of rinse aid. If the rinse aid refill indicator lights up, refill rinse aid. At a low setting, less rinse aid is added during the washing cycle, which reduces streaks on the dishes. At a higher setting, more rinse aid is added during the washing cycle, which reduces water spots and improves drying results. If the rinse aid refill indicator bothers you, it can be switched off. If rinse aid is running low, it must be removed from the holder.
- Page 27: Dishwashing liquid is a key component in the cleaning process. Modern dishwasher detergents typically have a low alkaline formulation with enzymes that break down starch and dissolve proteins. Oxygen-based bleaches are used to remove colored stains like tea or ketchup. Using rinse aid usually achieves better results, especially with combined detergents. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for any dishwasher detergent. Liquid dishwasher detergents work faster and are recommended for shortened programs without a pre-rinse phase. Only use detergents that are suitable for the dishwasher, including both non-combined and combined types. For optimal results, use a non-combined detergent with separate softening salt and rinse aid. Detergent powder is recommended for shortened programs, and the dosage can be adjusted based on the degree of contamination. It is not a defect if liquid detergent runs out of the dispenser even when closed, as long as certain conditions are met.
- Page 28: Dishwashing liquid dosage can be adjusted to the degree of contamination. Do not use detergents that could damage the appliance or harm your health. Non-combined dishwasher detergents contain no further components besides the actual dishwasher detergent. Hand dishwashing liquid can lead to increased foam formation and damage the appliance. Chlorine residues on dishes can endanger health. Combined dishwasher detergents contain additional functions like rinse aid and salt substitutes. Detergents marked with Bio or Eco may limit the cleaning effect due to smaller amounts of active substances. Set the rinse system and water softening according to the detergent used. Combined dishwashing detergents with salt substitutes can only be used up to a certain degree of hardness. For optimal washing and drying results, it is recommended to use softening salt and rinse aid from a water hardness of 14 °dH.
- Page 29: Close the lid of the detergent dispenser. Only wash glass and porcelain that is designated as dishwasher safe by the manufacturer. Prevent damage to glass and crockery. The detergent dispenser opens automatically at the optimal time for the program. Dishwasher powder or liquid detergent is spread and dissolved in the rinse aid container. Tabs fall into the tablet tray and are dissolved in doses. Do not place any objects in the tablet tray so that the tab can dissolve evenly. Only wash dishwasher-safe dishes in the appliance. Glazed tableware and objects made of aluminum and silver may discolour or fade when washed. Sensitive glass may become dull after a few washing cycles.
- Page 30: For better washing and drying performance, place dishes with curves or hollows at an angle so that the water can run off. If you use highly corrosive alkaline or strong acidic dishwasher detergent, do not use aluminum objects in the dishwasher. Remove coarse food residues from the dishes before washing. Choose a program with adjusted temperature to avoid high water temperature. To save natural resources, do not pre-rinse the dishes under running water. Load heavily soiled crockery, such as pans, in the lower crockery basket for better washing results. Load the dishes correctly to achieve optimal washing results and prevent damage to the dishes and appliance. Load cutlery with the pointed and sharp side down to prevent injuries. To save energy and water, load the appliance up to the indicated number of standard place settings. Make sure you do not block the spray arms from turning.
- Page 31: The Eco 50° program is environmentally friendly and ideal for normally soiled dishes. It is the most efficient program in terms of energy and water consumption for this type of tableware. The device will turn off automatically if not operated for 10 minutes. You can adjust the rinsing to the degree of soiling of the dishes by setting a suitable program. Hot dishes can cause burns and are sensitive to impacts. Allow crockery to cool briefly at the end of the program before removing it. You can set additional functions in addition to the selected rinse program. The available additional functions depend on the selected program. To prevent water drops from falling on the crockery, remove it from the bottom up. Check the rinse aid reservoir and accessories for contamination and clean if necessary.
- Page 32: The time setting is activated. The program is saved and the device turns off. Press to continue the program. Close the appliance door. You can deactivate the time setting by pressing it until h:00 appears on the display. The program has ended when 0h:00m indicates on the display. To end a program prematurely or change a started program, you must cancel the active program. If you want to add dishes, open the appliance door. The program is aborted and is closed after approx. 1 minute. The appliance switches off automatically 1 minute after the end of the program.
