Salt indicator is on when the salt container needs refilling. Machine Care indicator is on when the appliance needs internal cleaning with the Machine Care programme. Drying phase indicator is on when you select a programme with the drying phase. MY TIME selection bar allows selecting a suitable dishwashing cycle based on programme duration. AUTO Sense programme automatically adjusts the dishwashing cycle to the type of load. You can adjust the programme selection to your needs by activating options. 30min is the shortest programme suitable for dishwashing a load with fresh and light soil. ExtraPower improves the dishwashing results of the selected programme.
- Page 7: Programmes overview 30min programme for crockery and cutlery with a dishwashing temperature of 50 °C. 90min programme for normal, lightly soiled crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans with a dishwashing temperature of 60 °C. ECO programme for normal, lightly soiled crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans with a dishwashing temperature of 50 °C. AUTO Sense programme for all types of crockery and cutlery with a dishwashing temperature between 50 - 60 °C. Machine care programme for cleaning the appliance interior at a temperature of 70 °C. Consumption values for water and energy vary by programme. The pressure and temperature of the water, variations in mains supply, options, quantity of dishes, and degree of soil can change the values. Values for programmes other than ECO are indicative only. AirDry and ExtraPower options are available for selected programmes. Intermediate rinse and final rinse phases are included in all programmes.
- Page 8: In your request, include the product number code (PNC) from the rating plate. You can configure the appliance by changing basic settings according to your needs. Adjust the level of the water softener according to the water hardness in your area. Activate or deactivate the rinse aid indicator. Activate or deactivate the acoustic signal for the end of a programme. Activate or deactivate the AirDry. Activate or deactivate the sound of the buttons when pressed. - Page 9: The indicator related to the setting is on. You can navigate in setting mode using MY TIME selection bar. Press Previous or Next to change the value. Press OK to confirm the setting. The new setting is saved. The appliance returns to the setting selection. The water softener removes minerals from the water supply. The higher the content of these minerals, the harder your water is. The water softener should be adjusted according to the hardness of the water in your area. Softening hard water increases the consumption of water and energy as well as the programme duration.
- Page 10: Water softener degrees are measured in various units including German degrees, French degrees, and Clarke degrees. It is important to set the proper water hardness level to keep the salt refill indicator active. Acoustic signals sound when a malfunction of the appliance occurs and cannot be deactivated. Multi-tabs containing salt are not effective enough to soften hard water. AirDry improves drying results by automatically opening the appliance door during the drying phase. The rinse aid helps to dry dishes without streaks and stains and is automatically released during the final rinse. When the rinse aid chamber is empty, the rinse aid indicator turns on. For best drying performance, always use rinse aid, even if multi-tablets are used. AirDry is automatically activated with all programmes, and the duration of the drying phase varies depending on the selected programme. An acoustic signal can be activated to sound when the programme is completed.
- Page 11: Key tones indicate that the buttons on the control panel make a click sound when pressed, which can be deactivated. Do not try to close the appliance door within 2 minutes after automatic opening to avoid damage. It is advised to deactivate AirDry if children have access to the appliance due to potential danger from the automatic door opening. Before first use, ensure the water softener level matches the hardness of the water supply and adjust if necessary. Fill the salt container with 1 kg of salt until full and fill the rinse aid dispenser. Open the water tap and start a 30-minute program to remove any manufacturing residuals without detergent or dishes. The appliance recharges the resin in the water softener for up to 5 minutes before starting the washing phase. Use rough salt designed for dishwashers only, as fine salt increases the risk of corrosion. Water and salt may come out of the salt container when filling; start a program immediately after filling to prevent corrosion. For the first time, put 1 liter of water in the salt container before filling it with salt.
- Page 12: How to fill the rinse aid dispenser Only use rinse aid designed specifically for dishwashers. Press the release button to open the lid. Pour the rinse aid in the dispenser until the liquid reaches the fill level 'max'. Remove the spilled rinse aid with an absorbent cloth to prevent excessive foam formation. Close the lid and ensure that the release button locks into position. The compartment is for rinse aid only. Do not fill it with detergent. Daily use Open the water tap. If the programme has a prewash phase, put a small quantity of detergent on the inner part of the appliance door. Fill the salt container if it is empty. Fill the rinse aid dispenser if it is empty. Load the baskets. Add the detergent and select and start a programme. Close the water tap when the programme is complete. How to select and start a programme using MY TIME selection bar Press the button dedicated to the programme you want to select. Activate ExtraPower if desired. - Page 13: How to activate ExtraPower Select a programme using MY TIME selection bar and press and hold for about 3 seconds. How to cancel the delay start If you cancel the delay start, you have to select the programme again. How to cancel a running programme It is not possible to activate or deactivate ExtraPower while a programme is running. Activating ExtraPower Make sure that there is detergent in the detergent dispenser before you start a new programme. How to start the AUTO Sense program The appliance senses the type of load and adjusts a suitable wash cycle and its duration. Opening the door while the appliance operates Opening the door while a programme is running stops the appliance and may affect energy consumption and programme duration. How to delay the start of a programme You can delay the start of the selected programme by 3 hours. The Auto Off function This function saves energy by switching the appliance off when it is not operating. During the countdown, it is not possible to change the programme selection. If the door is opened for more than 30 seconds during the drying phase, the running programme ends.
- Page 14: All buttons are inactive except for the on/off button. When the programme is complete, the Auto Off function switches the appliance off automatically. Follow the hints below to ensure optimal cleaning and drying results in daily use and to protect the environment. Washing dishes in the dishwasher as instructed in the user manual usually consumes less water and energy than washing dishes by hand. Load the dishwasher to its full capacity to save water and energy. Do not pre-rinse dishes by hand. It increases the water and energy consumption. You can use dishwasher detergent, rinse aid and salt separately or you can use the multi-tablets. ECO offers the most efficient use of water and energy consumption. Only use salt, rinse aid and detergent designed for dishwasher. Other products can cause damage to the appliance. Always use the correct quantity of detergent. Insufficient dosage of detergent can result in poor cleaning results.
- Page 15: Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads or solvents. Machine Care is a programme designed to clean the appliance interior with optimal results. The filter system is made of 3 parts. When the appliance senses the need for cleaning, the indicator is on. Before starting the Machine Care programme, clean the filters and spray arms. Use a descaler or a cleaning product designed specifically for dishwashers. Clean the appliance interior with a soft damp cloth. Wipe clean the door, including the rubber gasket, once a week. To maintain the performance of your appliance, use a cleaning product designed specifically for dishwashers at least once every two months. For optimal cleaning results, start the programme Machine Care.
- Page 16: Cleaning the lower spray arm is recommended to prevent soil from clogging the holes. Clogged holes can cause unsatisfactory washing results. To remove the lower spray arm, pull it upwards. Wash the spray arm under running water and use a thin pointed tool to remove particles of soil from the holes. Make sure there are no residues of food or soil in or around the edge of the sump. Reassemble the filters and ensure they are correctly positioned. Put back the filter in the flat filter and turn it clockwise until it locks. To install the spray arm back, press it downwards. An incorrect position of the filters can cause bad washing results and damage to the appliance.
- Page 17: Cleaning the upper spray arm Do not remove the upper spray arm. If the openings in the spray arm are clogged, remove the remaining particles of soil with a thin pointed object. Troubleshooting Improper repair of the appliance may pose a danger to the safety of the user. Any repairs must be performed by qualified personnel. Refer to the table for information on possible problems. The majority of problems can be solved without the need for service. You cannot activate the appliance. Make sure that the mains plug is connected to the mains socket. Make sure that there is no damaged fuse in the fuse box. The programme does not start. Make sure that the appliance door is closed. If the delay start is set, cancel the setting or wait for the end of the countdown. The appliance does not fill with water. Make sure that the water tap is open. It is normal. It provides optimal cleaning results and energy savings. The programme lasts too long. If the delay start option is set, cancel the delay setting or wait for the end of the countdown. The appliance door is difficult to close. The appliance is not levelled. Loosen or tighten the adjustable feet. The appliance trips the circuit-beaker.
- Page 19: The dishwashing and drying results are not satisfactory. Poor washing results may be due to improper loading or insufficient program intensity. Activate the ExtraPower option to improve washing results. Clean spray arm jets and filter for better performance. Poor drying results can occur if tableware is left too long inside the appliance. Activate the AirDry function for automatic door opening to enhance drying. Ensure there is sufficient rinse aid and adjust the dosage if necessary. Plastic items may require towel drying after washing. Adjust rinse aid dosage if there are whitish streaks or bluish layers on dishes. Unusual foam during washing may indicate the use of inappropriate detergent.
- Page 20: Odours inside the appliance may be resolved by referring to Internal cleaning and starting the Machine Care programme with a descaler or a cleaning product designed for dishwashers. Limescale deposits on tableware and inside the appliance can occur due to low salt levels, a loose salt container cap, or hard tap water. It is recommended to use salt and set regeneration of the water softener even when using multi-functional tablets. If limescale deposits persist, clean the appliance with suitable detergents and consider trying a different detergent. Dull, discoloured, or chipped tableware may result from washing non-dishwasher-safe items or improper loading. Careful loading and unloading of the basket is advised, with delicate items placed in the upper basket. Refer to Before first use, Daily use, or Hints and tips for other possible causes of tableware damage. The appliance dimensions are 596 mm width, 818 - 898 mm height, and 550 mm depth.
