  • Page 1: Countertop dishwasher Owner’s manual
  • Page 2: General Safety This dishwasher should be properly installed and placed in a location in accordance with the Installation Instructions prior to operation. Read all instructions carefully prior to use. Improper use and/or handling can cause serious damage to the appliance and/or to the user, including personal injury or death. This dishwasher is intended for domestic use only; any other use may invalidate the warranty. Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of your dishwasher unless it is specifically recommended in this manual. Use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in this Owner’s Manual. This appliance is not intended for use by children. Electrical Safety Do not allow children to play with, on, or inside this or any appliance. Use caution when opening or closing the door to avoid injury. Connect the dishwasher to a grounded, permanent electrical system. Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Use only powder, liquid detergents, or rinse agents recommended for use in a dishwasher. Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Using a detergent that is not specifically designed for dishwashers may have an undesired result such as excessive suds. To minimize the possibility of electric shock, disconnect this appliance from the power supply before attempting any maintenance. Do not wash plastic unless it is marked as dishwasher safe. Hydrogen gas is flammable. Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a water heater that has not been used for more than two weeks.
  • Page 3: First time operating instructions should be followed to ensure proper use of the dishwasher. Make sure all packaging labels and materials are removed from the unit before use. Keep track of all included parts and pieces before discarding packaging materials. It is advised to keep the original box and packaging materials for future transport needs. This manual contains important information regarding the proper installation, use, and maintenance of your dishwasher. Following this manual will ensure that your product works at its peak performance and efficiency. Please save the original product packaging in case you need to safely transport your dishwasher. Write down the model number and serial number for future reference, as they are needed for warranty service. Read and follow this instruction manual carefully to help you install, use, and maintain your dishwasher. Refer to the troubleshooting section of this manual to diagnose and solve common issues.
  • Page 4: Parts identification Preparing the dishwasher for use Unpacking the dishwasher Use at least two people to move and install the dishwasher to prevent injuries. Carefully remove the packaging materials and any shipping tape or glue. Check to make sure the parts necessary for installation are included. The dishwasher has been designed for a countertop installation. The minimum height clearance required to install your dishwasher is 17-¾” (45cm). For best results, incoming water pressure should be between 15 and 20 pounds per square inch (psi). For best results, the water temperature must be at least 120ºF (49ºC).
  • Page 5: If your existing Faucet Adapter is not compatible with the quick connect hose assembly supplied, then the following procedures should be followed. Your dishwasher comes equipped with a Faucet Adapter, Quick Connect, Drain Hose, and Inlet Hose. The Faucet Adapter must be installed on the faucet before you can connect the dishwasher. If your faucet is inclusive of a female type (threaded) connection, both rubber washers must be installed inside the faucet adapter. If your faucet is inclusive of a male type (threaded) connection, use only the standard rubber washer supplied within the adapter. The Faucet Adapter is compatible with faucets inclusive of either male or female threaded faucet connections. Your dishwasher cleans by spraying a mixture of clean hot water and detergent against the soiled surfaces of dishes. Hard water conditions will adversely affect the washing performance of your dishwasher. To assist in minimizing these conditions, it is recommended to periodically operate the dishwasher using one cup of white vinegar at least once a week. Connect the circular connection of the drain hose onto the longer male connection on the Quick Connect. Slowly open the hot water line and check for any sign of water leaks at all connections.
  • Page 6: Disconnecting your dishwasher involves several steps, including closing the hot water supply and disconnecting the power supply cord. It is important to release the water pressure inside the inlet hose before disconnecting. To release pressure, press and hold the red pressure relief button on the quick connect assembly until the flow of water stops. Disconnect the quick-connect hose assembly by pulling down on the outer locking collar. The power button is used to turn the dishwasher on or off. The rinse aid warning light indicates when the rinse aid dispenser needs to be refilled. The wash cycle complete light shows when the current wash cycle has ended. The program selector allows you to choose your wash cycle, which will display in sequence. The display screen shows the current dishwasher status and remaining run or delay time. Before using the dishwasher, ensure it is level, the inlet valve is open, and there are no leaks at the drain and inlet ports.
  • Page 7: Loading the dishwasher is key for optimal performance. Overfilling can reduce efficiency, and improper placement of items can hinder performance. This unit is optimized for holding six place settings, including cups, glasses, bowls, large plates, small plates, serving dishes, and cutlery. For heavily soiled loads, use the heavy cycle. For normally soiled loads, use the normal cycle. Load hollow items with the opening facing downwards to prevent water collection. Secure dishes and utensils to avoid movement during the wash cycle. Silverware should be placed in the basket with handles at the bottom, except for knives and sharp objects. Ensure similar pieces of silverware do not nest together. Long utensils should be placed horizontally in the basket or on the cup shelf. Do not let any item extend through the bottom of the silverware basket, as this may prevent the spray arm from spinning. Use the rinse cycle for dishes, glasses, and silverware that will not be washed right away. The normal program is the test cycle, and the rinse-aid dispenser should be set to position three.
  • Page 8: Cutlery basket Silverware should be placed in the basket with handles at the bottom, except for knives and other sharp objects that should be loaded with handles up. If the silverware basket has side baskets, spoons should be loaded into individual slots. Make sure similar pieces of silverware do not nest together. Long utensils should be placed horizontally in the basket or on the cup shelf. The basket is fitted with plate racks which can be stowed horizontally if required. Always load sharp utensils with the sharp point down. Do not let any item extend through the bottom of the silverware basket. This may prevent the spray arm from spinning.
  • Page 9: Detergent and rinse aid dispensers are essential for proper dishwasher operation. Only use detergent specifically made for use in dishwashers; do not use dish soap or detergent pods or tabs. Using incorrect detergent can cause the dishwasher to fill with suds and may result in an E4 error code. Your dishes may not get fully clean if you use non-dishwasher detergent. The amount of detergent needed depends on whether your water is hard or soft. Generally, one tablespoon (1/2 ounce) of detergent is sufficient for a normal wash load. Hard water may require extra detergent to remove mineral deposits. Using too much detergent with soft water can cause permanent cloudiness in glassware. Contact your water department to identify whether your water is hard or soft. For heavily soiled loads, use the HEAVY (P1) wash cycle and fill the appropriate detergent cups based on water hardness.
  • Page 10: Rinse aid setting can be adjusted to improve drying and prevent spots on dishes. The dispenser must be refilled before each wash cycle. Always add powdered detergent just before starting the dishwasher. The rinse aid dispenser holds 3.5 oz. and lasts approximately one month under normal conditions. Only use branded rinse aid for the dishwasher. Never fill the rinse aid dispenser with any other substances, such as liquid detergent. Ensure the dishwasher is connected to the power supply and the water supply is turned on to full pressure before starting. The rinse aid warning light indicates when the dispenser needs to be refilled. Replace the dispenser cap and lock it into place after refilling. Select the desired wash cycle and press the START/PAUSE button to begin.
  • Page 11: Completing a wash cycle involves pressing the Start/Pause button to suspend the cycle. The buzzer will sound for eight seconds when the wash cycle finishes. Turn off the dishwasher and water supply before opening the door carefully. Wait a few minutes before unloading to avoid handling hot dishes. You can modify the washing cycle only if it has been running for a short time. Switch off the dishwasher and turn off the water tap before opening the door. It is normal for the dishwasher to be wet inside after unloading. Opening the door during the wash cycle may result in injury from hot water. Pressing the Start/Pause button for three seconds puts the machine in standby mode. A dish can be added before the detergent dispenser opens by following specific steps.
  • Page 12: General maintenance Removing the filter system In order to remove the filter system for cleaning, please follow these steps. The filter system consists of a coarse filter, a main (flat) filter, and a micro (fine) filter. The filter assembly efficiently removes food particles from the wash water, allowing it to be recycled during the cycle. For best performance and results, the filter assembly must be cleaned regularly. Never run the dishwasher without the filter system in place. Improper replacement of the filter system or damaged filters may reduce the performance level of the dishwasher. Clean the entire filter system at least once a week when in use. Inspect the filters after each wash and remove any food remnants and clean under running water.
  • Page 13: Protecting the dishwasher against freezing is important in cold environments. After each washing cycle, turn off the dishwasher and the water supply, then disconnect the water inlet hose. Drain the water from the inlet hose and inlet port. Clean the control panel with a lightly dampened cloth and dry it thoroughly. Use a soft warm damp cloth to clean the edge around the door, avoiding liquid sprays. Remove the filter system and absorb water in the filter area with a sponge. Turn off the water supply and leave the door slightly open after every wash to prevent moisture and odors. Never use abrasive solvents; a dampened soft cloth with warm water is recommended for cleaning. Periodic cleaning of door seals with a damp sponge prevents odors. Clean the spray arms and filters regularly to avoid clogs and odors.
  • Page 14: Items not suitable for dishwasher use include cutlery with wooden, horn, china, or mother of pearl handles, plastic items that are not heat resistant, and older cutlery with glued parts that are not heat resistant. Common issues with dishwashers can be resolved by following a troubleshooting guide. If the dishwasher does not start, ensure it is turned on and the door is closed securely. Check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker if the power supply is not turned on. Water may not be pumped from the dishwasher due to a kink in the drain hose or a clogged filter. Error codes can indicate specific problems, such as improper detergent use or low water pressure. Always clean up rinse aid spills immediately to prevent staining. Hard water minerals can cause a white film on the dishwasher interior surface. Do not place non-dishwasher safe items in the dishwasher to avoid rust stains on cutlery. Knocking or rattling noises inside the dishwasher may indicate items obstructing the spray arm or items not securely placed in the dish rack.
