Use the table below to determine the optimal water softening setting. Your local water
company will be able to help. Refer to 'Preferences' for how to set the water softener.
If you have a household water softener installed, use the HD1 setting, irrespective of the
water hardness in your area.
If your water hardness is above 890 ppm/60 gpg, the wash performance of your
dishwasher will decline over time. The rinse aid setting should be at 5.
