  • Page 8: How to fill the rinse aid dispenser To open the dispenser, turn the cap to the open (left) arrow and lift it out. Pour the rinse aid into the dispenser, being careful not to overfill. Be careful not to overfill the dispenser, because this could cause over sudsing. Clean up any rinse aid spill during filling with an absorbent cloth to avoid excess foaming during the next wash. Adjusting rinse aid dispenser The rinse aid dispenser has six settings. Always start with the dispenser set on 4. If spots and poor drying are a problem, increase the amount of rinse aid dispensed. Detergents have chemical ingredients that are necessary to remove dirt, crush dirt and transport it out of the dishwasher. The dispenser must be refilled before the start of each wash cycle. Generally, only one tablespoon of detergent is needed for a normal wash load. Always add the detergent just before starting the dishwasher. Use only detergent specifically made for dishwashers. Keep your detergent fresh and dry. Fill the detergent dispenser with detergent for the main wash and pre-wash. If the dishes are heavily soiled, place an additional detergent dose in the pre-wash detergent chamber. Dishwasher detergent is corrosive; keep it out of reach of children.
  • Page 10: Recommendations for dishwasher use include selecting dishwasher-proof utensils and using a mild detergent. For specific items, choose a program with the lowest temperature possible. Do not remove glass and cutlery immediately after the program ends to prevent damage. Certain items are not suitable for dishwashing, including cutlery with wooden or glued parts, and crystal glass. For optimal performance, scrape off large food particles and do not rinse dishes before loading. Load items facing downwards and ensure they are stacked securely to avoid tipping. Avoid washing very small items as they may fall out of the basket. Load hollow items with openings facing downwards to prevent water collection. Do not overload the dishwasher for effective cleaning and energy efficiency. Empty the lower basket first to prevent water dripping from the upper basket.
  • Page 11: Method for loading normal dishware The upper basket is designed to hold more delicate and lighter dishware such as glasses, coffee and tea cups, and saucers. Large items and the most difficult to clean items should be placed into the lower basket. Pots, serving bowls, etc., must always be placed upside down. Deep pots should be slanted to allow water to flow out. The bottom basket features folding spikes for larger pots and pans. The height of the upper basket can be easily adjusted to accommodate taller dishes. Cutlery should be placed in the cutlery basket with the handles at the bottom. Long utensils should be placed in the horizontal position at the front of the upper basket. Always load sharp utensils with the sharp point down. • Page 16: Your Kleenmaid appliance has been engineered and constructed to provide you with years of reliable service. Regular maintenance is required to allow it to continue serving you with its appearance and performance. Please take some time to carefully review this maintenance guide, paying particular attention to periodic and pre-use maintenance activities. The filter prevents larger remnants of food or other objects from getting inside the pump. The filter system consists of a coarse filter, a flat (main filter), and a microfilter (fine filter). Food and soil particles trapped in the main filter are pulverized by a special jet on the lower spray arm and washed down to drain. Larger items, such as pieces of bones or glass, are trapped in the coarse filter. The fine filter holds soil and food residues in the sump area and prevents it from being redeposited on the dishes during the wash cycle. For best performance and results, the filter must be cleaned regularly. Inspect the filters for blocking after every time the dishwasher has been used.
  • Page 17: Cleaning the filter requires a cleaning brush and careful reassembly. Avoid knocking on the filters to prevent distortion and decreased performance. The control panel should be cleaned with a lightly dampened cloth and dried thoroughly. Use a branded stainless steel cleaning product for the exterior, avoiding sharp objects and harsh cleaners. For cleaning the door, use a soft warm, damp cloth and avoid spray cleaners to prevent damage to the door lock and electrical components. Abrasive agents and paper towels should also be avoided to prevent scratching. Frost protection measures should be taken in winter, including cutting off electrical power, turning off the water supply, and draining the water from the inlet pipe. Contact a technician if the dishwasher does not work due to ice. Regular cleaning of the spray arms is necessary to prevent clogging from hard water chemicals. Remove the upper spray arm by rotating it clockwise and the lower spray arm by pulling it upward. Clean the arms with warm soapy water and a soft brush. Rust spots in a dishwasher can be caused by installation debris, hard water minerals, exposed metal, or harsh cleaners. To prevent rust spots, remove any installation debris and use a dishwasher cleaner regularly to eliminate mineral deposits.
  • Page 18: Check for any damaged areas in the dishwasher and repair or replace them promptly. Use gentler detergents or cleaners that won't damage the interior of the dishwasher. If you already have rust spots, you can try using a rust remover specifically designed for dishwashers or consult a professional cleaner for further assistance. It is recommended that you run a wash cycle with the dishwasher empty and then remove the plug from the socket, turn off the water supply and leave the door of the appliance slightly open. After every wash, turn off the water supply to the appliance and leave the door slightly open so that moisture and odours are not trapped inside. Before cleaning or performing maintenance, always remove the plug from the power socket. To clean the exterior and rubber parts of the dishwasher, do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning products. One of the factors that cause odours to form in the dishwasher is food that remains trapped in the seals. Periodic cleaning with a damp sponge will prevent this from occurring. Before making preparations for or commencing installation, the installer should refer to the current online version of the User Manual.
  • Page 19: Fitting underneath an existing work top requires removing the top cover of the dishwasher. After removing the work top, the screws must be replaced under the rear edge of the top. The minimum height will be reduced from 845 mm to 815 mm to fit under a standard height kitchen work top. The height of the dishwasher can be adjusted by screwing the adjustable feet in either direction. The maximum adjustable leg extension height for determining the maximum height is 25mm. Once positioned for leveling, the height of the dishwasher may be altered via adjustment of the feet. The appliance should not be inclined more than 2°. Do not use an extension cord or an adapter plug with this appliance. Ensure the voltage and frequency of the power correspond to those on the rating plate. This appliance must be earthed to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Page 20: Improper connection of the equipment earthing conductor can result in the risk of electric shock. Do not use an extension cord or an adapter plug with this appliance. Check with a qualified electrician or service representative if you are in doubt whether the appliance is properly earthed. Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the earthing connection from the power cord. Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance. Cold water connection involves pulling the AquaStop supply hose completely out from the storage compartment and tightly screwing it to a cold water tap. Turn water fully on before starting the dishwasher. The AquaStop supply hose has double walls to block the flow of water in case of a break. To disconnect the AquaStop supply hose, turn off the water and unscrew it from the tap. Insert the drain hose into a drain pipe with a minimum diameter of 40mm, ensuring it is not bent or crimped.
  • Page 21: How to drain excess water from hoses If the sink is more than 1000mm higher than the floor, the excess water in hoses cannot be drained directly into the sink. Water outlet Connect the water drain hose. The drain hose must be correctly fitted to avoid water leaks. Extension hose If you need a drain hose extension, make sure to use a similar drain hose. Syphon connection The waste connection must be at a height less than 1000 mm from the bottom of the dishwasher. Checklist before starting dishwasher The following things should be checked before starting the dishwasher: The dishwasher is level and fixed properly. The inlet valve is open. There is no leakage at the connections of the conducts. The wires are tightly connected. The power is switched on. The inlet and drain hoses are firmly fixed. All packing and print materials should be taken out of the dishwasher. Rust spots may occur when metal shavings or other debris from installation remain in the dishwasher. After installation, please make sure to keep this manual.
