  • Page 7: Product description includes various components of the appliance such as ceiling spray arm, upper spray arm, lower spray arm, filters, and rating plate. The rating plate features a QR code that can be utilized in two ways. The appliance is equipped with an internal lamp that activates when the door is opened or the appliance is switched on. The internal lamp turns off when the door is closed or the appliance is switched off, and it also has an automatic shut-off feature to save energy. Users can scan the QR code with their mobile device to access the My AEG Kitchen app in the app store. Instructions are provided for downloading the app and pairing the dishwasher with the mobile device using the QR code.
  • Page 8: Control panel features include the On/Off button, Delay start button, MY TIME program selection bar, and AUTO Sense program button. The ECOMETER indicates the impact of programme selection on energy and water consumption. More bars on the ECOMETER signify lower consumption, with a specific indication for the most environmentally friendly programme. Indicators provide essential information about the rinse aid, salt, machine care, drying phase, and Wi-Fi status. The rinse aid indicator signals when the rinse aid dispenser needs refilling. The salt indicator alerts when the salt container requires refilling. The machine care indicator indicates when internal cleaning is necessary. The drying phase indicator shows when a programme with a drying phase is selected and operates. The Wi-Fi indicator activates when the wireless connection is enabled.
  • Page 9: Programme selection adjusts the temperature, water quantity, and wash duration based on soil degree and dish amount. My Time selection bar allows for choosing a dishwashing cycle based on programme duration. Extras can be activated to customize programme selection. ExtraSilent reduces noise by operating the wash pump at a lower speed, resulting in longer programme duration. Quick is the shortest programme (30min) for lightly soiled dishes. 1h programme is suitable for fresh and lightly dried-on soil, with ExtraPower improving results. 1h 30min programme is for normally soiled items. 2h 40min programme is for heavily soiled items. ECO is the longest programme, efficient in energy and water use for normally soiled crockery and cutlery. GlassCare prevents damage to delicate loads by reducing temperature changes during washing.
  • Page 10: Programmes overview Dishwasher programmes include various options for different types of loads and soil levels. Quick programme is designed for lightly soiled crockery and cutlery. ExtraPower and GlassCare options enhance cleaning performance. ExtraHygiene provides additional sanitation during the wash cycle. AirDry feature improves drying efficiency. ECO programme is energy-efficient, suitable for normal loads. AUTO Sense adjusts the wash cycle based on the load's soil level. Dishwashing temperatures range from 45 °C to 60 °C depending on the programme selected. Intermediate rinse and final rinse phases are included in most programmes. Prewash is available in certain programmes for better cleaning results.
  • Page 11: Programme phases include cleaning, intermediate rinse, and final rinse. AirDry is an automatic door opening feature during the drying phase. Consumption values for various programmes include water usage, energy consumption, and duration. The pressure, temperature, mains supply variations, options, quantity of dishes, and degree of soil can affect consumption values. Values for programmes other than ECO are indicative only. For performance tests, include the product number code from the rating plate. Basic settings can be configured according to user needs. Users can view the number of completed cycles and restore factory defaults. Water hardness can be adjusted according to the water hardness in your area. Refer to the service book for any questions regarding the dishwasher.
  • Page 12: Number setting allows for adjustments to various settings including rinse aid level, end sound, auto door open, key tones, and latest programme selection. You can change the basic settings in setting mode. When in setting mode, the ECOMETER displays available settings with a dedicated bar flashing for each setting. The order of basic settings on the ECOMETER corresponds to their presentation in the table. Use the Previous and Next buttons to switch between settings and change their values. Press OK to enter and confirm the selected setting. You can enter setting mode before starting a programme, but not while one is running. To navigate in setting mode, use the MY TIME selection bar. To enter setting mode, press and hold the designated buttons for about 3 seconds. The lights for Previous, OK, and Next buttons will illuminate when in setting mode.
  • Page 13: The appliance returns to the programme selection. Make sure the appliance is in setting mode. Factory reset does not reset the cycle counter and the wireless connection setup. You can view the number of completed dishwashing cycles in the cycle counter. The water softener removes minerals from the water supply, which would have a negative effect on the washing results and on the appliance. The water softener should be adjusted according to the hardness of the water in your area. Set the right level of the water softener to assure good washing results. Water hardness is measured in equivalent scales. The saved settings remain valid until you change them again. After reaching 65535, the cycle counter restarts.
  • Page 14: Water softener level Factory setting. Do not use salt at this level. Set the proper water hardness level to keep the salt refill indicator active. Multi-tabs containing salt are not effective enough to soften hard water. Regeneration initiation has no impact on the cycle duration, unless it occurs in the middle of a programme. The resin of the softener device needs to be regenerated regularly. A new regeneration process will be initiated between the final rinse and the programme end. Rinsing of the water softener may increase total water consumption by additional 4 litres. Each performed softener rinse may prolong the programme duration by another 5 minutes.
  • Page 15: All the consumption values mentioned in this section are determined in line with the currently applicable standard in laboratory conditions with water hardness 2.5mmol/L. AirDry is automatically activated with all programmes. The rinse aid helps to dry the dishes without streaks and stains. When rinse aid chamber is empty, the rinse aid indicator is on notifying to refill rinse aid. For best drying performance, always use rinse aid and keep the rinse aid indicator active. Do not try to close the appliance door within 2 minutes after automatic opening. If children have access to the appliance, we advise to deactivate AirDry. You can activate an acoustic signal that sounds when the programme is completed. The buttons on the control panel make a click sound when you press them. You can set the automatic selection of the most recently used programme and options.
  • Page 16: When the latest programme selection is disabled, the default programme is ECO. The programme duration when the programme begins is displayed as 0:00 and CLEAN when the programme is completed. An alarm code indicates when the appliance has a malfunction. TimeBeam is off when AirDry opens the door. To check the remaining time of the running programme, look at the control panel display. You can connect your dishwasher to the home wireless network and link it to your mobile devices in My AEG Kitchen app. This functionality allows you to remotely control and monitor your dishwasher. To connect your dishwasher, you need a wireless network with Internet connection and a mobile device connected to the wireless network. Launch My AEG Kitchen app on your mobile device and follow the instructions in the app. The app is compatible with iOS and Android operating systems.
  • Page 17: If the credentials are not entered, the dishwasher cancels the procedure after some time and returns to the programme selection. The appliance returns to the programme selection. Refer to Daily use to activate the remote start. If you want to connect to a different wireless network or update the credentials of the current network, reset the network credentials. If the connection is unsuccessful or the display shows upd, refer to Troubleshooting. Press and hold simultaneously to cancel the procedure. Make sure that the current level of the water softener agrees with the hardness of the water supply. Fill the salt container. Use rough salt designed for dishwashers only. Start the programme Quick to remove any residuals from the manufacturing process.
  • Page 18: How to fill the salt container Turn the cap of the salt container counterclockwise and remove it. Put 1 litre of water in the salt container (only for the first time). Fill the salt container with dishwasher salt (until it is full). Carefully shake the funnel by its handle to get the last granules inside. Remove the salt around the opening of the salt container. The compartment is for rinse aid only. Do not fill it with detergent. Only use rinse aid designed specifically for dishwashers. Fill the dispenser until the rinse aid reaches the marking MAX. Remove the spilled rinse aid with an absorbent cloth to prevent excessive foam formation. Fill the rinse aid dispenser when the indicator is clear.
  • Page 19: Using the detergent Only use detergent specifically designed for dishwashers. Put the detergent in the compartment. If the programme has a prewash phase, put a small quantity of detergent on the inner part of the appliance door. For information about the detergent dosage, refer to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging of the product. How to select and start a programme using MY TIME selection bar Slide your finger across MY TIME selection bar to choose a suitable programme. The ECOMETER indicates the level of energy and water consumption. Activate applicable EXTRAS if desired. Close the appliance door to start the programme. Remote start
  • Page 20: Press the button dedicated to the option you want to activate. The display shows the updated programme duration. The ECOMETER indicates the updated level of energy and water consumption. When you set the delay start, the remote start is automatically activated. By default, options must be activated every time before you start a programme. If you cancel the delay start, you have to select the programme again. Activating options often increases the water and energy consumption as well as the programme duration. Opening the door while a programme is running pauses the wash cycle. The appliance senses the type of load and adjusts a suitable wash cycle. Opening the door while the remote start is activated deactivates this function.
  • Page 21: The function comes into operation automatically. When the programme is completed, the display shows 0:00. The Auto Off function switches the appliance off automatically. If the door is opened for more than 30 seconds during the drying phase, the running programme ends. Make sure that items in the baskets do not touch or cover each other. You can use dishwasher detergent, rinse aid and salt separately or you can use the multi-tablets. Select a programme according to the type of load and the degree of soil. ECO offers the most efficient use of water and energy consumption. Washing dishes in the dishwasher usually consumes less water and energy than washing dishes by hand. Do not pre-rinse dishes by hand as it increases water and energy consumption.
  • Page 22: When the programme is completed, adjust the water softener according to the water hardness in your area. Only use salt, rinse aid and detergent designed for dishwasher. Other products can cause damage to the appliance. In areas with hard and very hard water, we recommend using basic dishwasher detergent, rinse aid and salt separately for optimal cleaning and drying results. Before you start the selected programme, make sure that the filters are clean and correctly installed. Always use the correct quantity of detergent. Insufficient dosage can result in poor cleaning results and hard-water filming or spotting on the items. Use the appliance to wash dishwasher-safe items only. Always use the correct quantity of rinse aid. Insufficient dosage decreases the drying results. Make sure that the water softener level is correct. If the level is too high, it might result in rust on cutlery. Put hollow items with the opening facing downwards. Make sure that the spray arms can move freely before you start a programme.
  • Page 23: External cleaning Clean the appliance with a moist soft cloth. Only use neutral detergents. Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads or solvents. Cleaning the filters The filter system is made of 3 parts. Make sure that there are no residues of food or soil in or around the edge of the sump. Put back in place the flat filter. Turn the filter counterclockwise and remove it. Reassemble the filters. Put back the filter in the flat filter.
  • Page 24: Caution regarding the installation of the spray arm. Incorrect positioning of filters can lead to poor washing results and appliance damage. Regular cleaning of the lower spray arm is recommended to prevent clogging. Clogged holes in the spray arm can result in unsatisfactory washing results. To remove the lower spray arm, pull it upwards. Regular cleaning of the upper spray arm is also recommended to prevent clogging. To detach the upper spray arm, pull out the upper basket and press the spray arm upwards while turning it clockwise. Use a thin pointed tool to remove soil particles from the holes in the spray arm. Wash the spray arm under running water for effective cleaning. Ensure proper maintenance of spray arms for optimal washing performance.
  • Page 25: Move the upper basket to the lowest level to reach the spray arm more easily. Pull out the cutlery drawer to the maximum. To detach the spray arm from the delivery tube, turn the mounting element counterclockwise and pull the spray arm downwards. Wash the spray arm under running water. Use a thin pointed tool, e.g., a toothpick, to remove particles of soil from the holes. We recommend cleaning the ceiling spray arm regularly to prevent soil from clogging the holes. The ceiling spray arm is placed on the ceiling of the appliance. The spray arm is installed in the delivery tube with the mounting element. To install the spray arm back, press the spray arm upwards and simultaneously turn it counterclockwise until it locks into place. Make sure that the mounting element locks into place.
