The water softening system is switched off and the salt refill indicator is deactivated. In order to obtain fault-free function of the water softening system, the appliance performs regeneration at regular intervals. Regeneration of the water softening system takes place before the end of the main rinse cycle in all programmes. If you find the special salt refill indicator irritating, you can switch the indicator off. Only switch off the water softening system if the water hardness is max. 26 °E and you are using a combined detergent with salt replacement substances. Combined detergents with salt replacement substances can generally only be used up to a water hardness of 26 °E without adding special salt. Here you can find an overview of the maximum additional running time and consumption values during regeneration.
- Page 31: Rinse aid system Add rinse aid up to the max mark. The consumption values specified are laboratory measurements determined in accordance with the currently applicable standard using the Eco 50° programme. If rinse aid spills out, remove it from the tub. Spilled rinse aid can cause excessive frothing during the wash cycle. For optimum drying results, use rinse aid. Only use rinse aid for domestic dishwashers. If the display shows Please add rinse aid, add rinse aid. If there are streaks or water marks on tableware, change the amount of rinse aid. A low setting adds less rinse aid during the wash cycle and reduces streaking on tableware. A higher setting adds more rinse aid during the wash cycle, reduces water marks, and improves the drying result.
- Page 32: Detergent Suitable detergents are available online or from Customer Service. Switching the rinse aid system off can be done if the rinse aid refill indicator is irritating. The function of rinse aid is limited with combined detergents; better results are generally achieved using rinse aid. Tabs are suitable for all cleaning functions but may leave residues if not fully dissolved. Powder detergent is recommended for shorter programmes and dosage can be adjusted based on soiling. Liquid detergent works faster and is recommended for shorter programmes without PreRinse. Only use detergents that are suitable for dishwashers, both separate and combined. For optimum washing and drying results, use separate detergent along with special salt and rinse aid separately. Modern detergents use low-alkaline formulations with enzymes to break down starch and remove protein. Separate detergents do not contain components other than detergent, allowing for individual dosage adjustments.
- Page 33: Detergent For better washing and drying results and to avoid damage to the appliance, please additionally use special salt and rinse aid. Information on detergents Follow the instructions on detergents in everyday use. Detergents marked as organic or ecological generally contain lower levels of active agents or completely dispense with certain substances.
