• Page 2: IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING For your safety, the information in this manual must be followed to minimize the risk of fire, explosion, electric shock, and to prevent property damage, personal injury, or death. This dishwasher must be properly installed and located in accordance with the Installation Instructions before it is used. Connect the dishwasher/appliance to a grounded metal, permanent wiring system. Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of your dishwasher unless it is specifically recommended in this manual. Use only detergents or wetting agents recommended for use in a dishwasher and keep them out of reach of children. Do not touch the heating element during or immediately after use. Do not operate your dishwasher unless all enclosure panels are properly in place. Do not tamper with controls. Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a water heater that has not been used for two or more weeks. If you are getting rid of your dishwasher, please follow the instructions below to help prevent accidents.
• Page 3: Getting started Features and appearance will vary throughout this manual. Scrape off scraps and load dishes. Add detergent and rinse agent. Select cycle. Select options. Start and close the door within 4 seconds. Cycle and option examples indicate which cycle and option has been selected. This cycle is meant for daily, regular, or typical use to completely wash a full load of normally soiled dishes. The heated dry option will typically add 48 to 64 minutes to your cycle time. Use high quality detergents and rinse agents.
• Page 4: Care and cleaning Inspect and clean the filters periodically. This should be done every other month or more depending on usage. If there is a decrease in wash performance or dishes feel gritty, this is also an indication the filters need to be cleaned. To clean the Ultra-Fine Filter assembly, remove the bottom rack. Twist the Ultra-Fine Filter assembly counterclockwise and lift to remove for cleaning. Rinse filter with warm soapy water and use a sponge to carefully remove any stubborn particles. Scouring pads or brushes can scratch the filter surface but a soft brush or sponge may be needed to remove stubborn soils or calcium deposits caused by hard water. Before cleaning the front panel, make sure you know what type of panel you have. Refer to the last two letters of your model number. If your model number ends with BB, CC, WW, SA, SH, ES, DS, TS, FS, W2 or D1 then you have a painted door panel. Use a clean, soft, lightly dampened cloth, then dry thoroughly. For cleaning rust and tarnish, cleaners with oxalic acid such as Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser™ will remove rust, tarnish and small blemishes. Use a glass cleaner or mild soap and water and a soft cloth to clean the glass door.

• Page 6: Dishwasher limited warranty All warranty service is provided by our Factory Service Centers, or an authorized Customer Care technician. To schedule service, see the Consumer Support section. Servicing your appliance may require the use of the onboard data port for diagnostics. For the period of one year from the date of the original purchase, we will replace any part of the dishwasher which fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. What is not covered includes service trips to your home to teach you how to use the product and incidental or consequential damage caused by possible defects. Your sole and exclusive remedy is product repair as provided in this Limited Warranty. This limited warranty is extended to the original purchaser and any succeeding owner for products purchased for home use within the USA. In Canada, this limited warranty is also extended to the original purchaser and any succeeding owner for products purchased in Canada for home use. Some provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. Purchase a GE Appliances extended warranty and learn about special discounts that are available while your warranty is still in effect.
• Page 7: Monogram dishwasher warranty provides coverage based on the original purchase date. The warranty lasts for two years for any part that fails due to defects in materials or workmanship. Monogram will cover all labor and in-home service to replace defective parts during the two-year warranty period. For three to five years, the warranty covers the dishwasher rack and electronic control module, but the owner is responsible for labor costs. The lifetime warranty covers the stainless steel tub or door liner if it fails due to defects, with Monogram covering all labor and in-home service. The warranty is extended to the original purchaser and any succeeding owner for products used in ordinary home settings. In areas without authorized service, customers may incur trip charges or need to transport the product for service. Certain exclusions apply, including service trips for product usage education and damages from misuse or accidents. Implied warranties are limited to one year or the shortest period allowed by law, and specific legal rights may vary by state or province. Warrantors are GE Appliances in the USA and MC Commercial Inc. in Canada.
