Summary of Contents

  • Page 1: Thank you for buying a Hotpoint product. Please register your appliance for complete assistance. Before using the appliance, carefully read the safety instructions. Product description includes various components such as the upper rack, lower rack, cutlery basket, and spray arms. The control panel features buttons for on-off/reset, program selection, and various indicator lights. Key functions include Eco program, rinse aid refill, and salt refill indicators. The control panel also displays the program number and remaining time. Additional features include a delay button and a short time button. For more information, safety instructions and user manual can be downloaded from the website. Follow the registration instructions provided in the booklet.
  • Page 2: First time use Advice regarding the first time use Rinse aid makes dish drying easier. The rinse aid dispenser should be filled when the rinse aid refill indicator light in the control panel is lit. The use of salt prevents the formation of limescale on the dishes and on the machine’s functional components. It is mandatory that the salt reservoir be never empty. The salt reservoir must be filled when the salt refill indicator light in the control panel is lit. Never pour the rinse aid directly into the appliance tub. If you are not completely satisfied with the drying results, you can adjust the quantity of rinse aid used. To allow the water softener to work perfectly, it is essential that the water hardness setting is based on the actual water hardness in your house. The factory setting is specific to the model; please follow instruction above to check this for your machine. Only use salt that has been specifically designed for dishwashers.
  • Page 3: Programs table outlines various wash programs, their durations, water and energy consumption, and available options. Eco program is the most efficient for normally soiled tableware, assessing compliance with EU Ecodesign legislation. Rapid 30’ is designed for half loads of lightly-soiled dishes without a drying phase. Auto Intensive is for heavily soiled dishes and pans, not suitable for delicate items. Sanitizing program includes an antibacterial wash for normally or heavily soiled crockery. Soak program refreshes crockery planned for later washing without detergent. Auto Mixed is for normally soiled pans and dishes. Pre-treatment of dishes is not needed before any programs. Values for non-Eco programs are indicative and may vary based on several factors. Not all options can be used simultaneously during wash cycles.
  • Page 4: OPTIONS can be selected directly by pressing the corresponding button. If an option is not compatible with the selected program, the corresponding LED flashes rapidly 3 times and beeps will sound. The start of the program may be delayed for a period of time between 0:30 and 24 hours. The ZONE WASH 3D option allows saving energy or increasing washing performance. To activate the DELAY function, select a compatible cycle and press the DELAY button. The DRAIN OUT function can be used to stop and cancel the active cycle. ActiveDry is a convection drying system that automatically opens the door during/after the drying phase. The KEYLOCK function will block the control panel except the ON/OFF button. The WATER TAP CLOSED alarm flashes when there is no inlet water or the water tap is closed. The SHORT TIME option reduces the duration of the main programs while maintaining washing and drying performance.
  • Page 5: Loading the racks Upper rack Lower rack Load delicate and light dishes. Large plates and lids should ideally be placed at the sides to avoid interferences with the spray arm. The lower rack has tip-up supports which can be used in a vertical position when arranging plates or in a horizontal position to load pans and salad bowls easily. The height of the upper rack can be adjusted to create more space upwards and avoid collision with items loaded into the lower rack. The cutlery basket should be positioned only at the front of the lower rack. Knives and other utensils with sharp edges must be placed in the cutlery basket with the points facing downwards. The side foldable flaps can be folded or unfolded to optimize the arrangement of crockery inside the rack. Zone Wash 3D uses additional water jets to wash more intensively heavily soiled items by increasing water coverage on dishes. Wine glasses can be placed safely in the foldable flaps by inserting the stem of each glass into the corresponding slots. The upper rack is fitted with a sliding tray which can be used to hold small crockery and cutlery.
  • Page 6: Daily use Check that the dishwasher is connected to the water supply and that the tap is open. If a wrong program was selected, it is possible to change it, provided that it has only just begun. Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the dishwasher. Without switching off the machine, open the door and place the crockery inside the dishwasher. Select the most appropriate program in accordance with the type of crockery and its soiling level. If the door is opened during the wash cycle, the cycle stops. The end of the wash cycle is indicated by beeps and the display shows End. Before loading the baskets, remove all food residues from the crockery. When the household dishwasher is used according to the manufacturer’s instructions, it usually consumes less energy and water than hand dishwashing. To avoid odour and sediment, run a high temperature program at least once a month.
  • Page 7: Care and maintenance Cleaning the filter assembly Regularly clean the filter assembly to prevent clogging. The filter assembly consists of three filters that remove food residues. Check the arms from time to time and clean them with a small non-metallic brush. Using the dishwasher with clogged filters may cause unit malfunction. At least once per month, check the filter assembly and clean it thoroughly. Water softening system automatically reduces water hardness. Regeneration process starts in the final rinse and finishes in the drying phase. Single regeneration consumes approximately 3.5L of water. If the water hoses are new, let the water run to ensure it is clear before connections.
  • Page 8: Troubleshooting In case your dishwasher doesn’t work properly, check if the problem can be solved by going through the following list. For other errors or issues please contact authorized After-sales Service. Spare parts will be available for a period of either up to 7 or up to 10 years. Salt indicator is lit. Refill reservoir with salt. Rinse aid indicator is lit. Refill dispenser with rinse aid. The dishwasher won’t start or does not respond to commands. Insert the plug into the socket. The dishwasher won’t drain. Wait until the wash cycle finishes. The dishwasher makes excessive noise. Position the crockery correctly. The dishes are not clean. Select an appropriate wash cycle. The dishwasher does not fill the water. Make sure there is water in the water supply. Dishwasher finishes the cycle prematurely. Check if end of drain hose is placed at correct height.
