  • Page 8: Product description includes various components such as the ceiling spray arm, upper spray arm, lower spray arm, filters, and rating plate. The rating plate features a QR code that can be utilized in two ways. The appliance is equipped with an internal lamp that activates when the door is opened or when the appliance is switched on. The internal lamp automatically turns off when the door is closed or the appliance is switched off. To save energy, the lamp will also turn off automatically after a certain period. Users can scan the QR code with their mobile device to access the My AEG Kitchen app. Instructions are provided for downloading the app after scanning the QR code. The app allows users to pair the dishwasher with their mobile device.
  • Page 9: Control panel includes various buttons such as On/Off, Delay start, MY TIME program selection, and AUTO Sense program button. The ECOMETER indicates the impact of program selection on energy and water consumption. More bars on the ECOMETER indicate lower consumption. The most environmentally friendly program selection is indicated for normally soiled dishwashing loads. Rinse aid indicator signals when the rinse aid dispenser needs refilling. Salt indicator signals when the salt container needs refilling. Machine Care indicator signals when internal cleaning is needed with the Machine Care program. Drying phase indicator shows when a program with a drying phase is selected and flashes during operation. Wi-Fi indicator shows when the wireless connection is activated.
  • Page 10: Programme selection adjusts the temperature, water quantity, and wash duration based on the degree of soil and amount of dishes. My Time selection bar allows selecting a suitable dishwashing cycle based on programme duration. Extras can be activated to adjust the programme selection to individual needs. ExtraSilent reduces noise by operating the wash pump at a lower speed, resulting in longer programme duration. Quick is the shortest programme (30 min) for lightly soiled dishes. 1h programme is suitable for fresh and lightly dried-on soil, with ExtraPower improving results by increasing wash temperature and duration. 1h 30min programme is for normally soiled items. 2h 40min programme is designed for heavily soiled items. ECO is the longest programme, offering efficient energy and water use for normally soiled crockery and cutlery. GlassCare prevents damage to delicate items by maintaining a lower temperature and reducing rapid changes in dishwashing temperature.
  • Page 11: Programmes overview Dishwasher degree of programme phases Crockery, cutlery Fresh, lightly dried-on Dishwashing 50 °C Intermediate rinse Final rinse 45 °C ExtraPower GlassCare ExtraHygiene
  • Page 12: Programme phases include cleaning, intermediate rinse, and final rinse. AirDry is an automatic door opening feature during the drying phase. Consumption values vary based on programme selection, including water, energy, and duration. The pressure, temperature, and quantity of dishes can affect consumption values. Values for programmes other than ECO are indicative only. Basic settings can be configured according to user needs. Water hardness can be adjusted based on local water conditions. Refer to Care and Cleaning for appliance interior maintenance. For performance tests, include the product number code from the rating plate. Consult the service book for additional questions regarding the dishwasher.
  • Page 13: Number setting allows you to adjust various settings such as rinse aid level and end sound. Rinse aid level can be set from 0A to 6A, with 6A as the default. End sound can be activated or deactivated, with the default setting being off. Auto door open feature can also be turned on or off, with on being the default. Key tones can be activated or deactivated, with on as the default setting. Latest programme selection allows for automatic selection of the most recently used programme. Display on floor can be activated or deactivated, with on as the default setting. You can change the basic settings in setting mode, which is entered before starting a programme. The ECOMETER visually represents available settings, with a dedicated bar flashing for each setting. Navigation in setting mode is done using the Previous, OK, and Next buttons.
  • Page 14: The appliance returns to the programme selection. The saved settings remain valid until you change them again. The water softener removes minerals from the water supply, which would have a negative effect on the washing results and on the appliance. The higher the content of these minerals, the harder your water is. Water hardness is measured in equivalent scales. The water softener should be adjusted according to the hardness of the water in your area. Set the right level of the water softener to assure good washing results. The new setting is saved. Do not use salt at this level. Regardless of the type of detergent used, set the proper water hardness level to keep the salt refill indicator active.
  • Page 15: The total energy consumption of a programme may increase by additional 2 Wh. Multi-tabs containing salt are not effective enough to soften hard water. The resin of the softener device needs to be regenerated regularly for correct operation. The regeneration process is automatic and part of the normal dishwasher operation. A new regeneration process will be initiated between the final rinse and the programme end. The rinse aid helps to dry the dishes without streaks and stains. The rinse aid indicator notifies when to refill rinse aid. For best drying performance, always use rinse aid and keep the rinse aid indicator active. Regeneration initiation has no impact on the cycle duration unless it occurs in the middle of a programme. You can activate an acoustic signal that sounds when the programme is completed.
  • Page 16: Key tones indicate button presses and malfunctions. AirDry improves drying results by automatically opening the appliance door. TimeBeam displays programme duration, completion status, delay countdown, and alarm codes. AirDry is activated with all programmes, affecting drying phase duration and door opening time. The control panel display shows the remaining time when AirDry opens the door. Do not close the appliance door within 2 minutes after automatic opening to avoid damage. Deactivate AirDry if children have access to the appliance to prevent danger. Wireless connection allows linking the dishwasher to a home network and mobile devices. Remote control and monitoring of the dishwasher is possible through the My AEG Kitchen app.
  • Page 17: My AEG Kitchen app is available for download from the app store on your mobile device. You can scan the QR code from the rating plate to be redirected to the app. If the credentials are not entered, the dishwasher cancels the procedure after some time and returns to the programme selection. The app is compatible with iOS and Android operating systems. If the connection is unsuccessful or the display shows upd, refer to Troubleshooting. To connect your dishwasher, you need a wireless network with an Internet connection and a mobile device connected to the wireless network. To activate the wireless connection, press and hold simultaneously for 2 seconds. If you want to connect to a different wireless network or update the credentials of the current network, reset the network credentials. When prompted, enter the home network credentials in My AEG Kitchen app. All buttons are inactive except for the on/off button during the reset process.
  • Page 18: The display shows off and then connect the dishwasher to the network and to the app to enter new network credentials. Make sure that the current level of the water softener agrees with the hardness of the water supply. Fill the salt container. Fill the rinse aid dispenser. Open the water tap. Start the programme Quick to remove any residuals from the manufacturing process. Use only regeneration salt for dishwashers. Do not use kitchen salt. The salt is used to recharge the resin in the water softener and to assure good washing results in daily use. To prevent corrosion, fill the salt container and then immediately start a complete dishwashing cycle with detergent. Put 1 litre of water in the salt container (only for the first time).
  • Page 19: How to fill the rinse aid dispenser Only use rinse aid designed specifically for dishwashers. Fill the dispenser until the rinse aid reaches the marking MAX. Remove the spilled rinse aid with an absorbent cloth to prevent excessive foam formation. Close the lid and make sure that it locks into position. Fill the rinse aid dispenser when the indicator is clear. The compartment is for rinse aid only. Do not fill it with detergent. Daily use Open the water tap. Only use detergent specifically designed for dishwashers.
  • Page 20: The ECOMETER indicates the level of energy and water consumption. The upper ends of the two vertical ribs inside the compartment indicate the maximum level for filling the dispenser with gel (max. 30ml). The display shows the programme duration. Activate applicable EXTRAS if desired. Close the appliance door to start the programme. Activate this function to remotely control and monitor your dishwasher in My AEG Kitchen app. By default, options must be activated every time before you start a programme. It is not possible to activate or deactivate options while a programme is running. Not all options are compatible with each other. The appliance senses the type of load and adjusts a suitable wash cycle.
  • Page 21: How to delay the start of a programme Select a programme. Opening the door while the remote start is activated deactivates this function. Double press to set the delay time (from 1 to 24 hours). Close the appliance door to start the countdown. If you open the door during the delay start countdown, the countdown is paused. When you set the delay start, the remote start is automatically activated. How to cancel the delay start while the countdown operates Press and hold for about 3 seconds to return to the programme selection. The Auto Off function saves energy by switching the appliance off when it is not operating. End of the programme When the programme is complete, the display shows 0:00.
  • Page 22: Hints and tips for optimal cleaning and drying results include using appropriate products designed for dishwashers. In areas with hard water, it is recommended to use basic dishwasher detergent, rinse aid, and salt separately for better results. Washing dishes in the dishwasher typically consumes less water and energy than hand washing. Load the dishwasher to full capacity to save water and energy, and arrange items in the baskets as instructed. Detergent tablets may not dissolve fully with short programmes; using them with long programmes is advised. Do not pre-rinse dishes by hand, as it increases water and energy consumption. Always use the correct quantity of detergent to avoid poor cleaning results and detergent residues. Soak or scour cookware with tough food residues before washing. Select a programme based on the load type and soil degree, with ECO being the most efficient option. If switching from multi-tablets to separate detergent, salt, and rinse aid, refill containers and adjust the water softener level accordingly.
  • Page 23: When the programme is completed, adjust the water softener according to the water hardness in your area. Do not wash in the appliance items that can absorb water (sponges, household cloths). Put hollow items (cups, glasses and pans) with the opening facing downwards. Before you start the selected programme, make sure that the filters are clean and correctly installed. The cap of the salt container is tight. Let the tableware cool down before you remove it from the appliance. Always use the whole space of the baskets. Machine Care is a programme designed to clean the appliance interior with optimal results. Dirty filters and clogged spray arms negatively affect the washing results. Before starting the Machine Care programme, clean the filters and spray arms.
  • Page 24: Use a descaler or a cleaning product designed specifically for dishwashers. Clean the appliance with a moist soft cloth. Only use neutral detergents. Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads or solvents. Clean the appliance interior with a soft damp cloth. Wipe clean the door, including the rubber gasket, once a week. To maintain the performance of your appliance, use a cleaning product designed specifically for dishwashers at least once every two months. Check the filters and the sump after each use of the dishwasher. Foreign objects can decrease the cleaning performance and cause damage to the drain pump. If unable to remove the foreign objects, contact an Authorised Service Centre.
  • Page 25: Wash the filters. An incorrect position of the filters can cause bad washing results and damage to the appliance. We recommend cleaning the lower spray arm regularly to prevent soil from clogging the holes. Make sure that there are no residues of food or soil in or around the edge of the sump. Put back in place the flat filter (A). Make sure that it is correctly positioned under the 2 guides. Clogged holes can cause unsatisfactory washing results. To remove the lower spray arm, pull it upwards. Wash the spray arm under running water. Use a thin pointed tool, e.g. a toothpick, to remove particles of soil from the holes.
  • Page 26: To install the spray arm back, press it downwards. To install the spray arm back, press the spray arm upwards and simultaneously turn it counterclockwise until it locks into place. We recommend cleaning the upper spray arm regularly to prevent soil from clogging the holes. Clogged holes can cause unsatisfactory washing results. We recommend cleaning the ceiling spray arm regularly to prevent soil from clogging the holes. Pull out the upper basket. To detach the spray arm from the basket, press the spray arm upwards and simultaneously turn it clockwise. The ceiling spray arm is placed on the ceiling of the appliance. Wash the spray arm under running water. Use a thin pointed tool to remove particles of soil from the holes.
  • Page 27: Wash the spray arm under running water. Use a thin pointed tool to remove particles of soil from the holes. Run the water through the holes to wash soil particles away from the inside. Release the stoppers on the sides of the sliding rails of the cutlery drawer and pull the drawer out. To install the spray arm back, insert the mounting element in the spray arm and fix it in the delivery tube by turning it clockwise. Make sure that the mounting element locks into place. Install the cutlery drawer on the sliding rails and block the stoppers. Move the upper basket to the lowest level to reach the spray arm more easily. Improper repair of the appliance may pose a danger to the safety of the user. Any repairs must be performed by qualified personnel.
  • Page 28: Problem and alarm code Possible cause and solution You cannot activate the appliance. Make sure that the mains plug is connected to the mains socket. The programme does not start. Make sure that the appliance door is closed. The appliance does not fill with water. Make sure that the water tap is open. The appliance does not drain the water. Make sure that the sink spigot is not clogged. Malfunction of the wash pump or the drain pump.
  • Page 29: Problem and alarm code The level of water inside the appliance is too high. The display shows iF1. Switch the appliance off and on. Make sure that the filters are clean. Make sure that the outlet hose is installed at the right height above the floor. Network unit error. The display shows iC4 or iC5. Contact an Authorised Service Centre. The appliance stops and starts more times during operation. It is normal. The programme lasts too long. If the delay start option is set, cancel the delay setting or wait for the end of the countdown. The appliance door is difficult to close. The appliance is not levelled.
  • Page 30: Problem and alarm code The appliance is switched on but does not operate. Power supply is out of the operating range. The appliance switches off during operation. Complete power outage. The display shows upd. The appliance downloads and installs the firmware update automatically when it is available. Wait for the process to be complete. If the problem occurs again, contact an Authorised Service Centre. The PNC can be found on the rating plate on the appliance door. If you contact an Authorised Service Centre, you need to provide the product number code of your appliance.
  • Page 31: The dishwashing and drying results are not satisfactory. Poor washing results may be due to improper loading or insufficient washing program. Use a more intensive washing program and activate the ExtraPower option. Clean spray arm jets and filter for better performance. Poor drying results can occur if tableware is left too long inside the appliance. Activate the AirDry function for improved drying performance. Ensure there is sufficient rinse aid and adjust the dosage if necessary. Whitish streaks or bluish layers on dishes may indicate too much rinse aid or detergent. Unusual foam during washing may result from using the wrong detergent. Residues of detergent in the dispenser can occur if the tablet is stuck or if spray arms are blocked.
  • Page 32: Odours inside the appliance may indicate the need for internal cleaning or a Machine Care programme with a descaler. Limescale deposits can occur due to low salt levels, a loose salt container cap, or hard tap water. It is important to use salt and set the regeneration of the water softener even when using multi-functional tablets. If limescale deposits persist, clean the appliance with suitable detergents or try a different detergent. Dull, discoloured, or chipped tableware may result from washing non-dishwasher-safe items or improper loading. Delicate items should be placed in the upper basket, and the GlassCare option should be activated for glassware. Problems with wireless connection may arise from incorrect network ID or password, requiring a restart of the setup process. A weak wireless network signal may necessitate moving the router closer to the dishwasher. Disruption of the wireless signal can occur due to nearby microwave appliances, which should be turned off if causing issues. Contacting the wireless service provider may be necessary for further problems with the wireless network.
  • Page 33: Problem Possible cause and solution The app cannot connect to the dishwasher. There is a trouble with the wireless network signal. Check your wireless network and router. Restart the router. Check if your mobile device is connected to the network. New router was installed or router configuration was changed. Configure the dishwasher and mobile device again. Contact your wireless service provider if there are further problems with the wireless network. The app frequently cannot connect to the dishwasher. The wireless signal is disrupted by a microwave appliance placed near the dishwasher. Turn off the microwave appliance. The wireless network signal is weak. Move router as close to the dishwasher as possible or consider purchasing a wireless range extender. Technical information Dimensions: Width / height / depth (mm) 596 / 818 - 898 / 560.
