  • Page 10: Installation Permitted water temperature is up to 25°C (60°C for products equipped with Aquasafe+). The dishwasher may not be connected to open warm water devices or flow-through water heaters. The water discharge hose can be connected directly to the drain hole or sink’s drainage. The length of the water discharge hose must be a minimum of 50 cm and a maximum of 100 cm from the floor. A discharge hose longer than 4 meters causes dirty washing. Do not use old or used water inlet hoses on the new product. Connect the water inlet hose directly to the water tap, with pressure between 0.3 and 10 bars. Open the taps completely after making connections to check for water leaks. Use a screw-on hose connector for the water inlet hose to a water tap with a ¾ inch external thread. The drainpipe must be connected to the sewage system and not to any surface water.
  • Page 11: Installation Connect the product to a grounded outlet protected by a fuse complying with the values in the “Technical specifications” table. The Aquasafe+ system protects against water leaks that may occur at the hose inlet. Water contact with the valve box of the system must be avoided to prevent damage to the electrical system. Connection must comply with national regulations. Power cable plug must be within easy reach after installation. Unplug the product after the washing programme is over. The specified voltage must be equal to your mains voltage. Do not make connections via extension cables or multi-plugs. If the door of the product cannot be closed properly, adjust the feet of the product. If the product has a failure, it should not be operated unless it is repaired by the Authorised Service Agent.
  • Page 12: Installation Before starting to use the product, make sure that all preparations are made in accordance with the instructions in sections “Important safety instructions” and “Installation”. To prepare the product to do the dishes, perform first operation in the shortest programme with detergent while the machine is empty. During the initial use, fill the salt reservoir with 1 litre of water prior to filling it with salt. There might be a small amount of water left in the product after factory quality control tests. This has no harm on the product.
  • Page 13: Preparation tips for energy saving. Adjusting the water softening system can enhance cleaning, rinsing, and drying performance. Proper adjustment of the water hardness level is crucial. Wipe away coarse food remnants before loading dishes. Operate the dishwasher when fully loaded. Use the supplied test strip to determine water hardness level. Consider the programme data and average consumption values when selecting a programme. Do not exceed the recommended amount of detergent. The water softening system reduces incoming water hardness. Mains water hardness over 7°dH must be softened to prevent performance issues.
  • Page 14: Installation Remove the test strip from the packet. Turn on the tap and let the water run for about a minute. Hold the test strip in the water for about a second and shake it. The test strip shows you the hardness level. After determining the hardness level of the supply water, turn on your machine and press and hold the Time Delay and Start/Pause/Cancel keys. Use the Time Delay key to turn on the 9 and 3 LEDs. Use the function keys to adjust the water hardness level. Press the On/Off key to save the setting. In order to protect your glassware against glass corrosion, perform the same hardness settings in the control panel with the regeneration setting switch. Set the regeneration adjustment switch to the same level as in the control panel.
  • Page 15: Preparation It is recommended to use granule- or powder-formed softening salts in the water softening system. If the hardness level of the supply water is above 50 °dH or if you are using well water, then it is recommended to use water purification devices and special filters. If the hardness level of the supply water is below 7°dH, there is no need to use salt in your dishwasher. The “No Salt Warning Indicator” illuminates continuously on the panel of your machine if salt is not needed. If the water hardness level adjustment is set to level 1, the “No salt warning indicator” will illuminate continuously although it is not necessary to use salt. Do not use salts that do not completely dissolve in water such as table salt or rock salt. Salt reservoir will be filled with water when you start the product, so add salt before operating the machine. Take the lower basket out to add softening salt. It is necessary to readjust the water hardness level of your machine when you move your house. Add 1 litre of water to the salt reservoir of your machine only in initial use.
  • Page 16: Preparation You can put about 2 kg of softening salt into the salt reservoir. Pay attention to the warnings on the detergent packaging to get better washing and drying results. You need to add salt right before starting the machine. Do not put solvents into the detergent dispenser. Overflowing salty water will be flushed immediately, preventing the risk of corrosion in the machine. Put the detergent into the detergent dispenser just before operating the machine. Inside the detergent dispenser, there are level markings that help you use appropriate amounts of powder detergent. Only use detergents produced for use in the machine. We recommend you not use detergents that contain chlorine and phosphate as they are harmful for the environment. One tablet is enough if you are using detergent tablets.
  • Page 17: Preparation Tablet detergents are available that show water softening salt and/or rinse aid effect. Some types of these detergents contain special-purpose components such as glass and stainless steel protectors. These tablets are effective up to a certain water hardness level (21°dH). Water softening salt and rinse aid must also be used together with the detergent if the water hardness level is above the mentioned level. The best washing performance in dishwashers is obtained by using detergent, rinse aid, and water softening salt individually. Observe the instructions of the detergent manufacturer on the package when using tablet detergents. Contact the detergent manufacturer if your dishes are wet or if you notice limescale spots on your glasses after the washing programme. Use powder or liquid/gel detergent in short programmes without prewash to avoid limescale spots. The solubility of the tablet detergent changes depending on the temperature and time.
  • Page 18: Preparation When switching to powder detergent from tablet detergent, ensure that salt and rinse aid reservoirs are full. Fill the reservoir until the MAX level. Set the water hardness to the highest level and perform an empty run. After the empty washing cycle, review the user manual and readjust the water hardness level to suit the water supply. Make the appropriate rinse aid settings. The rinse aid used in dishwashers is a special combination that aims to increase drying efficiency and prevent water or lime stains. Care must be taken to have rinse aid in the reservoir and to use rinse aids produced specifically for dishwashers. If there are stains on tableware items after washing, the rinse aid level must be increased. Open the lid of the rinse aid reservoir with the help of the latch. Wipe clean any spilled rinse aid outside the reservoir to prevent foaming and decrease in washing performance.
  • Page 19: Preparation Place the hollowed dishes such as bowls, glasses, and pans upside down in the dishwasher to prevent water accumulation. Items not suitable for washing in the dishwasher include those soiled by cigarette ash, candle remnants, and chemicals. Do not wash silverware and cutlery with wooden or bone stems, glued pieces, or those not resistant to heat. Always place sharp and pointed dishes upside down to prevent injuries. Decorative prints of chinaware and aluminum and silver items may get discolored or tarnished after washing. Some delicate glass types and crystals may become dull over time. Check if the tableware you are going to purchase is suitable for washing in the dishwasher. Unload dishes in the lower basket first and then the upper basket. Wipe away any coarse food remnants on the dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. Place heavily soiled and bigger items in the lower basket and smaller, delicate items in the upper basket.

Foldable tines located at the lower basket are designed for easier placement of large pieces. You can create larger spaces by folding each tine individually or all of them at once. The bottle wire is designed for easier washing of long pieces with wide mouths. You may take out the bottle wire from the basket when not in use. To bring the collapsible tines into horizontal position, grab the tines from mid position and push them. To bring the tines back to vertical position, just lift them up. Use the height adjustable racks in the upper basket by sliding them down or up according to the heights of the glasses.
  • Page 23: Preparation Collapsible upper basket You can use collapsible wires when you need a larger space for your dishes in the upper basket of your machine. In this model, the height setting of the upper basket may be changed using the wheels which are mounted at two different heights. To bring the collapsible wires into horizontal position, grab the wire from the middle position and push them in the direction of the arrow in the figure. To bring the wires back to vertical position, just lift them up. Release the latches on both the right and left tracks of the upper basket by pushing them outwards. Pull the basket out completely. Place the basket back into the tracks at the desired height. Bringing the wires to the horizontal position by holding them from the tips may cause them to bend. Ceiling cutlery basket is designed to wash your cutlery items such as forks, spoons and etc. by placing them between the bars on the basket.

  • Page 36: Troubleshooting the filling process involves running the prewash programme to remove spilled salt. A new machine may have a peculiar odour that fades after a few washes. Check if the filter system is clean and clean it regularly as illustrated in the cleaning section. If dirty dishes are kept in the dishwasher for 2-3 days, remove remnants and run the prewash programme without detergent. Salt leakage can cause deterioration and oxidation on metal surfaces; ensure the salt reservoir lid is tightly closed. Salty food remnants on dishes should be removed by prewash or dishes must be washed immediately. Check if the machine is connected to the grounding line to prevent static electricity causing discoloration. Avoid using intensive cleansers like bleach, as they can damage the protective cover on metal surfaces. Do not use metal kitchen utensils for purposes other than their intended uses to prevent damage. Corrosion on low-quality stainless steel items is inevitable; they should not be washed in dishwashers.
