Dishwasher Operation
Getting Started
Plate Arrangement
We know you are eager to start using your Cove dish-
washer, but before you do, please take some time to read
this use and care guide. It will be to your benefit to famil-
iarize yourself with the safety practices, features, operation,
and care recommendations of your Cove dishwasher.
The illustrations below show typical arrangement for the
upper, middle, and lower racks.
NOTE: The spray arms must rotate freely before starting a
wash cycle.
NOTE: Every unit is tested prior to shipment and may con-
tain residual water.
Prior to Use
For water softener models only, use the test strip provided
to determine the water hardness. Refer to User Setup on
page 11 to adjust the hardness setting.
Fill the salt compartment with water prior to adding salt for
the first time. Refer to Water Softener on page 17 for more
information.
For all models, to ensure the dishwasher is clean and all
residual oil from the manufacturing process has been
removed, the dishwasher must go through the following
procedure:
Upper silverware rack
Middle rack

Add dishwasher detergent to the dispenser. If the door
is closed, touch the button on the left to open. Refer to
page 16 for more information.

Slide the door closed.
Run a Quick cycle.
Loading
Remove all labels and scrape food debris from cookware
and dishes before placing in the dishwasher. Avoid nesting
plates, bowls, and silverware.
