Start/cancel: Open the door to select the desired wash cycle; the indicator light will turn ON. To modify or change a selected running wash cycle, open the door, press the START/CANCEL pad and hold for 3 seconds. If you want to pause the running dishwasher to load more dishes, use caution and open the door slowly. It is strongly recommended that all dishes be loaded before washing cycle begins.
- Page 8: Control panel Cycle progress indicator The cycle progress lights indicate the progress of the cycle while the dishwasher is running. If the DELAY option is selected, the number of delay start hours will display in the Status Window. The remaining time may increase or decrease as the Smart Sensor assesses the soil level. When the dishwasher is in a wash or rinse stage of a cycle, the WASH light is illuminated. In certain situations that are critical to the safe function and operation of the dishwasher, the machine will shut down and display an error code. When the dishwasher is in a drying stage of a cycle, the WASH and DRY lights are illuminated. After the dishwasher has completed all stages of a cycle, all indicator lights are illuminated. If the door is opened when the CLEAN lights are illuminated, all the lights will turn OFF after 30 seconds.
- Page 9: Convenient features include LED lights that turn on when the door is open. The upper rack height can be adjusted to accommodate taller dishes, with clearance heights ranging from 8 to 10. The lower rack clearance height is between 11 and 13. An adjustable third rack is available for cutlery or other accessories. The right shelf of the third rack can slide over the left shelf for additional space. To adjust the upper rack position, lift the adjustment arms on both sides and pull up or push down the rack. Height adjustments should be made without dishes in the racks.
- Page 10: Convenient features include foldable tines and a power wash spray. The upper and lower racks have flexible tines that can be folded down for more space. The power wash spray effectively cleans heavily soiled pots and pans. To fold tines down, pull the tine out of the holder and rotate it to the side. The dishwasher features a multiple filter system with four mesh filters. This filter system separates soiled water and clean water for better performance. The smart wash system determines the optimal cycle for cleaning dishes efficiently. A short wash cycle is performed for partial loads of lightly soiled dishes. A heavy wash cycle is automatically performed for full loads of heavily soiled dishes. The dishwasher includes both a fine filter and a cylinder filter.
- Page 11: Getting started Your dishwasher cleans by spraying a mixture of hot water and detergent through the spray arms against soiled surfaces. Loading the upper rack The upper rack is designed for cups, glasses, small plates, bowls, and plastic items marked dishwasher safe. For best results, place bowls, cups, glasses, and saucepans with soiled surfaces facing down or toward the center. Make sure the loaded dishes do not interfere with the rotation of the upper spray arm. Basic operations Load dishwasher, add detergent, add rinse aid if needed, select desired cycle, select desired options, press the start/cancel pad, and close the door within 4 seconds to begin the cycle. Your dishwasher has the top control panel, and selections will only be activated when the door is firmly closed. Loading the lower rack The lower rack is designed to load plates, soup bowls, saucers, and cookware. Dish preparation Scrape away large pieces of food, bones, pits, and toothpicks before loading. Large items should be placed along the edge so they do not interfere with the upper spray arm rotation. Foods such as mustard, mayonnaise, vinegar, lemon juice, and tomato-based products may cause discoloration of stainless steel and plastics if allowed to sit for a long period of time.
- Page 12: Getting started The three separated modules of the silverware basket can be used in both upper and lower racks. Loading the third rack The third rack can be used to load cutlery or other accessories such as spatulas or cooking spoons. Silverware, knives, and utensils should be loaded in the third rack separate from each other in the appropriate positions. Do not load silver or silver-plated silverware with stainless steel. These metals can be damaged by contact with each other during washing. Some foods can pit or corrode silverware. Do not wash aluminum cookware in your dishwasher. Always load sharp items pointing down. To avoid injury, load utensils such as knives and skewers with handles pointing up and sharp metal edges pointing down. Loading the silverware basket The silverware basket consists of three separate sections. For optimum loading flexibility, the center section can be used individually, joined with one or both side sections, or removed. Unload or remove the baskets before unloading the racks to avoid water drops from falling on the silverware. Lift handle to remove the silverware basket and set the basket on a counter or tabletop. Adding a dish To add or remove items after the wash cycle starts, open the door slightly and wait a few seconds until wash action stops before completely opening.
- Page 13: Getting started Replace the dispenser cap. Filling the rinse aid Rinse aid greatly improves drying and reduces water spots and filming. Without rinse aid, your dishes and dishwasher interior will have excessive moisture. The Heat Dry option will not perform as well without rinse aid. The Rinse Aid Dispenser automatically releases a measured amount of rinse aid during the final rinse. If spotting and poor drying are a problem, increase the amount of rinse aid dispensed by rotating the dial to a higher number. If the rinse aid is low, the rinse aid light is illuminated at the beginning and end of the cycle indicating that it is time to refill. Filling the detergent dispenser Open the dispenser cover latch and add detergent to the main wash compartment. Your dishwasher is designed to use a liquid rinse aid. The use of rinse aid greatly improves drying performance after the final rinse. Under normal conditions, the rinse aid will last approximately one month.
- Page 14: Dishwasher cycle options Cycle chart Description of cycle Water consumption Cycle time Pre-wash Wash temperature Rinse temperature Drying Heavy duty cycle
- Page 15: Dishwasher cycle options include various settings for different cleaning needs. Cycle times are approximate and will vary with options selected. Hot water is necessary to activate dishwasher detergent and melt fatty food soils. An automatic sensor will check the incoming water temperature. If the water is not hot enough, the timer will be delayed for automatic water heating. This delay occurs in all cycles, even when hi-temp wash is selected. The document outlines specific temperatures for washing and rinsing during different cycles. Pre-wash and drying phases are included in the cycle descriptions. Different cycles are available, such as heavy duty, normal, delicate, and express wash. Rinse only option is also available for quick cleaning needs.
- Page 16: Care and cleaning Cleaning the exterior door and panel Stainless steel panel - Clean the stainless steel door and handle regularly to remove any debris with a soft cleaning cloth. Clean the fine filter - Take out the Cylinder Filter and remove the Fine Filter from the dishwasher tub bottom. Flush the Fine Filter by holding it under running water and place it back into position. Do not use appliance wax, polish, bleach or products containing chlorine to clean the stainless steel door. Control panel - Gently clean the control panel with a lightly dampened cloth. Clean the stainless steel inner door and tub - The tub is made of stainless steel; it will not rust or corrode if the dishwasher is scratched or dented. Clean the cylinder filter - The Cylinder Filter is designed to collect some big items such as broken glass, bones and pits. The Cylinder Filter needs to be cleaned to maximize wash performance. Warning - Allow heating element to cool before cleaning the interior. Failure to do so can result in burns.
- Page 17: Care and cleaning are essential for maintaining your dishwasher. Ensure the air gap is clean for proper drainage. Regularly clean the door gasket with a damp cloth to remove food particles. Before cleaning the air gap, turn off the dishwasher and remove the cover. Protect your dishwasher from freezing in unheated places. A qualified technician should perform specific steps for disconnection and service. The inside of the dishwasher is self-cleaning with normal use. Reconnect water, drain, and electrical power supply to restore service. Run the dishwasher through a heated wash cycle after restoration. Check connections for leaks after restoring service.
- Page 18: Troubleshooting Before calling for service Dishwasher won't start Ensure the door is properly closed. Check power supply connections. Refer to delay start and child lock sections in the manual. Dishwasher beeps at the end of the cycle Indicates the wash cycle is finished. Rinse aid light is on Add rinse aid. Dishwasher operates too long Cycle time varies with soil level. Heavy soil detection increases cycle time. Sanitize option increases cycle time. Dishes are not clean enough Load dishes as indicated in the manual. Use fresh detergent appropriate for water hardness. Select a suitable cycle for food soil conditions. Dishes are not dry enough Choose the proper cycle with drying. Use fresh rinse aid. Load dishes as indicated in the manual. Spots and filming on dishes Add rinse aid to the dispenser. Use less detergent if you have soft water. Use fresh detergent. Detergent dispenser will not close Add detergent and rinse aid as indicated by the manual.
- Page 19: Troubleshooting Water remains in the dishwasher Previous cycle has not finished or has been interrupted. Drain is clogged. Dishwasher does not drain properly Drain hose is kinked. Suds in the tub Improper detergent is used. Dishwasher leaks Dishwasher is not level. Black or gray marks on dishes Aluminum utensils have rubbed against dishes. Reddish stain Some tomato-based foods will cause this. Stained tub interior A hard object has entered the wash module. Noise Water valve is shut off. Dishwasher won't fill Door latch may not be properly seated. Bad odor in dishwasher tub Drain hose connected to sink drain between sink trap and the wall.
- Page 20: Error codes indicate malfunctions in the appliance. E1 signifies longer inlet time, which may be due to a closed faucet, restricted water intake, or low water pressure. Improper or incomplete draining can also trigger E1, often caused by an extended drain hose or improper installation. E4 indicates an overflow, which may result from a leak in the dishwasher. E8 points to a failure in the orientation of the distributary valve. E9 suggests an open circuit or break in the distributary valve. Holding a button for over 30 seconds can also trigger an error. If overflow occurs, turn off the main water supply before seeking service. Water in the base pan from an overfill or leak should be removed before restarting the dishwasher. Correct installation methods include using an air gap with a waste tee or disposer and ensuring a high drain loop with a waste tee or disposer.
