The dishwasher will need to be within the Wi-Fi range of the user’s Wi-Fi network. The dishwasher will need to be within the wireless range of the Amazon Alexa App, or an Echo family device. Zero Touch Setup - additional prerequisite The dishwasher must have been ordered from the same Amazon account and while ordering you must have opted to link the device upon purchase. Pairing your appliance After signing up your account, follow the instructions below to connect your Smart Dishwasher to the internet. Method 1: Barcode setup First, download the Amazon Alexa App. Plug in your Dishwasher, open the door, and press and hold Power for 3 seconds to power on the Dishwasher.

Select the “+” button and then “Add a Device.” Find “Dishwasher” on the device setup page. Select “Dishwasher,” then “Sharp,” and tap “Next.” Allow access to your camera for barcode scanning. You will be connected and automatically brought to the ACK dishwasher connected page. Select “Done”. Proceed to Page 10 to start using application.
• Page 6: Wi-Fi connect guide Smart dishwasher Method 2: Setup without barcode Please follow these steps to pair your appliance without a barcode: Download the Amazon Alexa App. Plug in your dishwasher, open the door, and press and hold Power for 3 seconds to power on the dishwasher. Press buttons “Rinse Only” + “Wash Zone” simultaneously for 5 seconds until the display reads “UG”. Open the Amazon Alexa App. Select the “Devices” tab on the bottom right corner. At the top right corner, select the “+” button > “Add a Device”. You will be brought to the device setup page. Scroll or search until you find “Dishwasher”. Select “Dishwasher” > “Sharp” > “Next” > “Don’t Have A Barcode?” > “Next”.

The Alexa App will connect your device to your Wi-Fi. A notification will pop up when your device is found. You will be connected and automatically brought to the ACK dishwasher connected page. Method 3: Zero touch setup Works only if dishwasher was purchased through Amazon, and Zero Touch Setup was applied during checkout. Download the Amazon Alexa App or use an active 2nd Gen or higher Echo Dot. Press “Rinse Only” + “Start/Cancel” simultaneously for 5 seconds to start the network control. The Wi-Fi indicator will stop flashing and remain lit, which means your device is paired successfully.

Select First Dishwasher. You can now access your device through the “Devices” Tab. Select “All Devices” to access your Dishwasher. You can change the name from “First Dishwasher” to “Dishwasher” in the Devices tab by selecting the Settings icon in the top right corner, and then selecting Edit Name. You can now control your dishwasher via the Alexa App or manually on the dishwasher control panel.

Commands include enabling and disabling pause, starting and turning off the dishwasher, and setting various cycles and modes. Available cycles and modes include auto, heavy duty, normal, light, express wash, and rinse only. You can engage features like fan dry, power wash, sanitize, and heat dry using voice commands. Commands also allow you to check the status of the dishwasher and inquire about rinse aid levels. Child lock can be engaged or disengaged through voice commands. Commands are subject to change.

Make sure you have downloaded the Alexa app onto your mobile device and have created an account. Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same network that you will use to connect your dishwasher to the internet. Make sure the dishwasher’s Wi-Fi is on. If the Wi-Fi icon is blinking, touch and hold Rinse Only and START/CANCEL together for 5 seconds to start the network control. One Alexa account can be paired to the dishwasher.
