These warnings have been provided in the interest of safety. You must read them carefully before installing or using the appliance. Please read the user manual carefully and store in a handy place for later reference. This appliance complies with the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZ 60335.2.5. Make sure that the electrical information on the rating plate is the same as the power supply. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications. Do not pull the mains cable to disconnect the appliance. Always pull the mains plug. Only use detergents and rinse aids which are produced specifically for dishwashers. Adherence to the directions for use in this manual is extremely important for health and safety.
  • Page 3: Safety information and recommendations include warnings about potential hazards associated with the dishwasher. Do not leave your dishwasher’s door open, as this may lead to accidents and injury. Certain items are not suitable for dishwashing, including delicate glass types and absorbent items like sponges. This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities without supervision. Keep children away from detergents and rinse aids, and do not allow them to play with or start the machine. Any malfunction in the machine should be repaired by qualified persons to maintain warranty coverage. Technical specifications include a capacity of 15 place settings and dimensions of 850 mm in height and 598 mm in width. The electricity input is rated at 220-240 V and 50 Hz, with a total power of 1900 W. For energy and water saving, remove coarse residues from dishes before loading and start the machine when fully loaded. Prior to any repair work, unplug the dishwasher and turn off the water tap. Electrolux reserves the right to amend design and technical specifications.

  • Page 5: Installing the machine Positioning the machine Ensure that there is adequate space to enable loading and unloading of the dishes. The water drain hose can be connected either directly to the water drain hole or to the sink outlet spigot. The plug of your machine should be connected to an earthed outlet that supplies suitable voltage and current. Do not put your machine in any location where the ambient temperature can fall below 5°C. Always use the molded plug supplied with your machine. The machine’s electrical cable should be replaced by an authorised service or an authorised electrician only. Maximum drain hose length is 4m. Longer hose length will prevent correct draining. Always make sure to disconnect the plug when a wash program is finished. Ensure that the indoor plumbing is suitable for installing a dishwasher and complies with AS/NZS 3500.1.
  • Page 6: Installing the machine involves adjusting the machine feet according to the slope of the floor. Prior to using the machine for the first time, check whether the electricity and water supply specifications match the installation instructions. Remove all packaging materials inside the machine and fill the rinse aid compartment. Use a detergent specifically designed for domestic dishwashers, available in powder, gel, and tablet forms. When using combined detergents, check the specifications of the tablet and ensure it is appropriate for the hardness of mains water. Detergent should be placed in the compartment before starting the machine, and it should not exceed the required amount to avoid etching glasses. If using tablet detergents, they should only be placed in the detergent compartment and not in the interior section or cutlery basket. For better results with combined detergents, consider adding rinse aid and adjusting the rinse aid setting to the lowest position. Contact detergent manufacturers if wash results are unsatisfactory after using combined detergents, as warranty does not cover complaints caused by these products. Solubility of tablet detergents can vary, so they are not recommended for short programs; powder detergents and rinse aid are more suitable for such uses.
  • Page 7: Preparing the machine for use involves loading your dishwasher correctly for optimal energy consumption and washing performance. There are two separate baskets for loading dishes: the lower basket for round and deep items, and the upper basket for tea plates, dessert plates, and cups. Long-stem glasses should be leaned against the basket edge or glass support wire, not against other items. Spoons can be placed among other cutlery to prevent sticking, and using the cutlery grid is recommended for best results. Sharp-pointed items should be placed with their sharp points facing down or horizontally to avoid injuries. To fill the rinse aid compartment, open the cap and set the rinse aid level using the “+” and “-” buttons. If dishes are not drying properly, increase the rinse-aid level; if blue stains appear, decrease it. The top basket has adjustable cup racks designed to increase capacity and accommodate different sizes of glasses. Ensure that the position of dishware does not obstruct the spray arms. Be cautious not to overfill the rinse aid compartment and clean up any spills to maintain washing performance.
  • Page 8: Loading your dishwasher involves several components and techniques for optimal use. The spoon rack/glass support allows for safe washing of long-stemmed glasses and provides a place for spoons and forks. Do not lean long-stemmed goblets and glasses against each other; position them towards the spoon rack to prevent damage. Folding tines on the lower basket help accommodate larger items like pots and pans, allowing for flexible arrangement. Each rack can be folded separately or all at once to create larger spaces. The spoon rack has four different positions to accommodate various types of long-stemmed glasses. Positions 1 and 2 are recommended for long-stemmed glasses, while positions 3 and 4 can be used to create larger areas in the upper basket. The modular cutlery basket can be separated into two parts based on the amount of soiled cutlery. The cutlery basket handles are adjustable and can be used in either the upper or lower dishwasher basket as needed.

  • Page 10: Program descriptions provide details on various washing programs available for the machine. Switching on the machine involves pressing the POWER button. You can select the program suitable for your dishes via the PROGRAM button. Start the program by pressing the START/PAUSE key. You can follow the program flow using the progress indicator lights located on the control panel. Once completed, the DRY light will illuminate. Do not open the dishwasher until the END light comes on. If you would like to change programs while a washing program is on, press the PAUSE/START button. At the end of the program, for improved drying results, it is recommended to open the door approximately 50mm for some minutes before removing the dishes. Short programs do not include a drying step.
  • Page 11: Maintenance and cleaning Switch off the power supply or disconnect the product before any maintenance or cleaning operation. Cleaning the machine at regular intervals prolongs the machine’s service life. To clean the machine, fill the detergent compartment with detergent, do not load any dishes into the machine, select a program that runs at high temperature, and start the machine. Wipe the seals regularly by using a dampened cloth. Clean the filters and spray arms at least once a week. Check if any food wastes have remained on the coarse and fine filters. Never use your dishwasher without any filter. Clean filters are very important in terms of the proper running of the machine. For better drying results when the program has finished, keep the door ajar for some minutes before you remove the dishes.
  • Page 12: Maintenance and cleaning Failure codes and what to do in case of failure Switch off the dishwasher and close the tap. Check whether the holes for the upper and lower spray arms are clogged. You can remove the lower spray arm by pulling it upwards. Close the tap and contact the service centre for water overfill. Make sure the water tap is open and the main water supply is on. Unplug the machine and then turn the water off. Scrape off food soils before you place dirty dishes in the machine. Check the inlet hose filter and clean it if necessary. Correctly loaded dishes will give the best energy consumption, washing and drying performance.
  • Page 13: Troubleshooting If one of the program monitor lights is on and the start/pause light is flashing, your machine’s door is open, shut the door. If the program won’t start, check if the plug is connected, indoor fuses, water inlet tap, machine door, power button, and filters. If detergent residues are left in the detergent compartment, it may be due to wet detergent compartment or a large dish blocking the dispenser door. If water is left inside the machine at the end of the program, check if the water drain hose is clogged, filters are clogged, or the program is not finished. If the machine stops during a wash operation, it could be due to a power failure, water inlet failure, or standby mode. If shaking and hitting noises are heard during a wash operation, dishes may be placed incorrectly or the spray arm may be hitting the dishes. If there are partial food wastes left on the dishes, it may be due to incorrect placement, overloaded basket, or clogged spray arm and filters. If there are whitish stains on the dishes or if the dishes won’t dry up, it may be due to low detergent or rinse aid dosage, or an unsuitable wash program. If there are rust stains on the dishes, it may be due to insufficient stainless-steel quality or unhealthy mains grounding. Call an authorised service centre if the problem persists after the controls or in case of any malfunction not described above.
