3.5.3. ADD THE DISHWASHER SALT

Always clean the stainless steel parts immediately with a soft cloth after topping up the dishwasher salt. Dishwasher salt can
damage the stainless steel parts.
Do not use dishwasher salt if the appliance is set to water softener level H1.

Due to the hardness of the rinsing water, lime may remain in the appliance after some time. Lime can leave a white mark on your
crockery or cutlery. The dishwasher salt removes the lime from the rinsing water.
The dishwasher salt LED lights up when the dishwasher salt needs to be
refilled.
1. Remove any dishes from the baskets.
2. Remove the salt reservoir cap.
3. Place the funnel in the salt reservoir.
4. Fill the salt reservoir with 1 litre of water. The salt reservoir only
needs to be filled with water for the first use after installation. After
that, you only need to top up the salt reservoir with dishwasher
salt.
5. Fill the salt reservoir to the rim with dishwasher salt.
6. Shake the funnel to allow the last grains of dishwasher salt to drop
into the salt reservoir.
7. Remove the funnel from the salt reservoir.
8. Screw the cap back on the salt reservoir. The dishwasher salt LED
goes out.
9. Remove the remaining dishwasher salt around the salt reservoir
with a soft, dry cloth.
10. Start a short programme to remove the last remnants of
dishwasher salt.
