- Page 8: Programme phases include prewash and options for load and soil. The standard programme offers efficient water and energy consumption for normal soil crockery and cutlery. This programme assesses compliance with the Ecodesign Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/2022. Automatic door opening occurs during the drying phase. The appliance senses soil degree and item quantity, adjusting temperature, water quantity, energy consumption, and programme duration automatically. A specific programme cleans the inside of the appliance, removing limescale and grease buildup, and should be run at least every 2 months without any load. A quick rinse programme helps prevent odours by rinsing off food remains without using detergent. Consumption values include water usage of 9.9 liters, energy consumption of 0.835 kWh, and a duration of 240 minutes for the ECO programme. Pressure, temperature, mains supply variations, options, dish quantity, and soil degree can affect consumption values. Values for programmes other than ECO are indicative only.
- Page 9: Options prevent rapid changes in the dishwashing temperature of the selected programme and reduce it to 45 °C. Desired options must be activated every time before you start a programme. It is not possible to activate or deactivate options while a programme is running. ExtraPower improves the dishwashing results of the selected programme by increasing the wash temperature and duration. Not all options are compatible with each other, and the appliance automatically deactivates non-compatible options. ExtraHygiene provides better cleaning results by maintaining a temperature between 65 and 70 °C for at least 10 minutes during the last rinsing phase. Activating options can affect water and energy consumption as well as programme duration. In settings, you can select a programme and enter user mode. The saved settings remain valid until changed again. You can also view the number of completed dishwashing cycles. Settings available in user mode include the level of water softener according to water hardness.
- Page 10: How to set the programme selection mode The appliance is in programme selection mode when the programme indicator is on and the display shows the programme duration. The water softener removes minerals from the water supply, which would have a negative effect on the washing results and on the appliance. The higher the content of these minerals, the harder your water is. Water hardness is measured in equivalent scales. The water softener should be adjusted according to the hardness of the water in your area. Set the right level of the water softener to assure good washing results. To enter user mode, press and hold simultaneously Delay and Option until. Regardless of the type of detergent used, set the proper water hardness level to keep the salt refill indicator active. Multi-tabs containing salt are not effective enough to soften hard water. Make sure the appliance is in programme selection mode.
- Page 11: Regeneration process The resin of the softener device needs to be regenerated regularly. A new regeneration process will be initiated between the final rinse and the programme end. All the consumption values mentioned are determined in line with the currently applicable standard. The pressure and temperature of water can change the values. Make sure the appliance is in user mode. Press Program to change the setting. Regeneration initiation has no impact on the cycle duration unless it occurs in the middle of a programme. The rinse aid helps to dry the dishes without streaks and stains. When the rinse aid chamber is empty, the rinse aid indicator turns on. For best drying performance, always use rinse aid.
- Page 12: How to deactivate the rinse aid empty notification Make sure the appliance is in user mode. Do not try to close the appliance door within 2 minutes after automatic opening. If, afterwards, the door is closed for at least 3 minutes, the running programme ends. Press Start to change the setting. If children have access to the appliance, we advise to deactivate AirDry. AirDry improves the drying results with less energy consumption. Factory reset restores the factory defaults. Press and hold Start and Option for 5 seconds. You can view the number of completed dishwashing cycles in the cycle counter.
- Page 13: Before first use Make sure that the current level of the water softener agrees with the hardness of the water supply. Fill the salt container. Fill the rinse aid dispenser. Open the water tap. Start a programme to remove any processing residuals that can still be inside the appliance. Use rough salt designed for dishwashers only. Fine salt increases the risk of corrosion. Water and salt can come out of the salt container when you fill it. The salt is used to recharge the resin in the water softener and to assure good washing results in daily use. How to fill the salt container.
- Page 14: How to fill the rinse aid dispenser Only use rinse aid designed specifically for dishwashers. Fill the dispenser until the rinse aid reaches the marking MAX. Remove the spilled rinse aid with an absorbent cloth to prevent excessive foam formation. Close the lid and ensure the release button locks into position. The compartment is for rinse aid only. Do not fill it with detergent. Daily use Open the water tap. Press the on/off button to activate the appliance. Only use detergent specifically designed for dishwashers. If the rinse aid indicator is on, fill the rinse aid dispenser. Load the baskets and add the detergent. For information about the detergent dosage, refer to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
- Page 15: The energy consumption and the programme duration are affected by the Auto off function. If the door is opened for more than 30 seconds during the drying phase, the running programme ends. The Auto off function decreases energy consumption by deactivating the appliance when it is not operating. The function activates when the programme is complete or after 5 minutes if a programme was not started. Do not try to close the appliance door within 2 minutes after AirDry automatically opens it. Starting a programme requires pressing the on/off button and ensuring the appliance is in programme selection mode. To cancel the delay start while the countdown operates, you must set the programme and options again. When the programme is complete, the Auto off function switches the appliance off automatically. Opening the door while a programme is running stops the appliance. Make sure there is detergent in the detergent dispenser before starting a new programme.
- Page 16: Hints and tips for optimal cleaning and drying results include using appropriate products designed for dishwashers. In areas with hard water, it is recommended to use basic dishwasher detergent, rinse aid, and salt separately for better results. Washing dishes in the dishwasher typically consumes less water and energy than hand washing. Load the dishwasher to full capacity to save water and energy, and arrange items as instructed in the user manual. Detergent tablets may not dissolve fully with short programmes; using them with longer programmes is advisable. Do not pre-rinse dishes by hand, as it increases water and energy consumption. Soak or scour cookware with baked-on food before washing, ensuring items do not touch each other in the baskets. Use the correct quantity of detergent based on water hardness to avoid poor cleaning results and detergent residues. Always use the correct quantity of rinse aid, as insufficient amounts decrease drying results. To stop using multi-tablets, refill the salt container, use the recommended dosage of detergent and rinse aid, and adjust the water softener level accordingly.
- Page 17: When the programme is complete, make sure that the spray arms can move freely before you start a programme. Adjust the water softener according to the water hardness in your area. Before you start the selected programme, make sure that the filters are clean and correctly installed. Always use the whole space of the baskets. Use the appliance to wash dishwasher-safe items only. Do not wash in the appliance items made of wood, horn, aluminium, pewter and copper as they could crack, warp, get discoloured or pitted. The programme is suitable to the type of load and the degree of soil. Make sure that glass items do not touch each other. Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads, sharp tools, strong chemicals, scourer or solvents. Before maintenance, deactivate the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the main socket.
- Page 18: Removal of foreign objects Check the filters and the sump after each use of the dishwasher. Foreign objects decrease the cleaning performance and can cause damage to the drain pump. If unable to remove the foreign objects, contact an Authorised Service Centre. Disassemble the filters system as instructed in this chapter. Remove any foreign objects manually. Reassemble the filters as instructed in this chapter. Clean the appliance with a moist soft cloth. Only use neutral detergents. Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads or solvents. Make sure that there are no residues of food or soil in or around the edge of the sump.
- Page 19: Wash the spray arm under running water. Use a thin pointed tool to remove particles of soil from the holes. Reassemble the filters and put back the filter in the flat filter. Turn the filter clockwise until it locks. An incorrect position of the filters can cause bad washing results and damage to the appliance. We recommend cleaning the lower spray arm regularly to prevent soil from clogging the holes. Clogged holes can cause unsatisfactory washing results. To remove the lower spray arm, pull it upwards. Do not remove the upper spray arm. If the openings in the spray arm are clogged, remove the remaining particles of soil with a thin pointed object.
