- Page 3: Your dishwasher Welcome to our growing ASKO family! Please read the operating instructions before use. They include general tips, information about the settings and adjustments you can make, and the best way to take care of your appliance. Select program mode Symbols on the display: See the chapter Care and maintenance instructions. Install the dishwasher; see the chapter Installation instructions. Welcome to your ASKO. First time setup. is shown on the display the first time the dishwasher is switched on. It is important that you choose the right settings to ensure good dishwashing results.
- Page 4: Important safety instructions When using your dishwasher, follow basic precautions. Read all instructions before using the dishwasher. Use the dishwasher only for its intended purpose. Use only detergents or rinse agents recommended for use in a dishwasher. When loading items to be washed, position sharp items carefully. Do not wash plastic items unless they are marked dishwasher safe. Do not operate the dishwasher unless all enclosure panels are properly in place. Do not tamper with controls. To reduce the risk of injury, do not allow children to play in or on a dishwasher. Disconnect electrical power to the dishwasher before servicing.
- Page 5: Important safety instructions Always keep small children away from the machine when it is open. There may be some detergent residue left inside the machine. Always close the door and start the dishwasher as soon as you put in the detergent. If dishwasher detergent gets in someone’s eyes, rinse them with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Should a child swallow dishwasher detergent or rinse aid, give plenty to drink immediately. Seek medical advice immediately. Dishwasher detergents and rinse aids are corrosive, so always keep them out of reach of children. You can activate the Automatic child lock setting to prevent children from starting the dishwasher. The overflow guard starts pumping out the water and turns off the water supply if the water level in the dishwasher exceeds the normal level. The outer packaging protects the product during transport and is recyclable. Separate the different packaging materials to help reduce raw material use and waste. When the machine has reached the end of its service life and is to be disposed of, it should immediately be made unusable.
- Page 6: Important safety instructions Contact your municipality for information about where and how your dishwasher can be recycled correctly. Symbols on the appliance Read the user manual.
- Page 7: Before washing for the first time, it is important to check water hardness to achieve good dishwashing results. Hard water can leave a white coating on dishes and the dishwasher. Contact the local water utility to determine the water hardness in your area, as this affects the amount of detergent and rinse aid needed. During the first-time setup, it is crucial to select the right settings for optimal dishwashing results. You can choose the language displayed and set the level of rinse aid, which improves wash and dry times and helps achieve clear results. The rinse aid dispenser can be adjusted from 0 (Off) to 5 (High dosage), with the default set at 4. If using an all-in-one detergent that contains rinse aid, activate the On/Off setting to reduce rinse aid dosage.
- Page 8: Before washing for the first time, add rinse aid. Fill up the rinse aid compartment with rinse aid if you have selected Rinse aid 1 - 5. Open the rinse aid compartment lid. Carefully fill up with rinse aid to the level marked MAX. Wipe up any spilled rinse aid around the compartment. Close the lid firmly. When the rinse aid needs topping up, the symbol lights up on the display.
- Page 9: Greener dishwashing Save energy and water When using a dishwasher in a residential setting, less energy and water are generally used compared to washing the dishes by hand. Do not rinse under running water Do not rinse the dishes under running water as this will lead to increased energy and water consumption. Simply scrape off large food particles before loading the dishwasher. Choose a green detergent Read the environmental declaration on the packaging. Too much detergent and rinse aid can result in less effective dishwashing and lead to a greater environmental impact. Run a fully loaded dishwasher Save energy and water by waiting until the dishwasher is full before running a program. Run programs at a lower temperature If the dishes are only lightly soiled, you can select a program with a lower temperature. Select dishwashing program – Eco This program is the most effective in terms of energy consumption. Select option – Auto door open Better drying results are achieved if you use the Auto door open option. Connect to cold water Connect the dishwasher to the cold water supply if the building is heated using oil, electricity, or gas. Connect to hot water Connect the dishwasher to the hot water supply (max. 160 °F (70 °C)) if the building is heated using an energy-efficient means.
- Page 10: Loading the dishwasher Some cookware is not dishwasher safe due to high temperatures or damage from detergent. Use caution with handmade items, China, crystal/glassware, silver, copper, tin, aluminum, wood, and plastic. Look for the Dishwasher safe marking. Porcelain with decoration on top of the glazing should not be washed in a dishwasher. Use rinse aid to improve wash and dry times and achieve clear results. Silver and stainless steel items should not come into contact to avoid discoloration. Aluminum can lose its shine if washed in a dishwasher, but good quality pans can be washed. Some types of glue on cutlery handles are not dishwasher safe and may loosen. Load the dishes carefully to ensure the best washing and drying results. Check that the spray arms can rotate freely.
- Page 11: Loading the dishwasher The top cutlery tray accommodates cutlery, ladles, whisks, and other utensils. Avoid placing tall objects in the top cutlery tray. They can block the top spray arm. Raising the top cutlery tray Pull out the top cutlery tray. Pull the two locking handles forward on each side to raise the top cutlery tray. Lowering the top cutlery tray Pull out the top cutlery tray. Slide the two locking handles down and back to lower the top cutlery tray.
- Page 12: Loading the dishwasher involves placing glasses, cups, bowls, side plates, and saucers in the upper basket with soiled surfaces facing down. Wine glasses should be placed on the wine glass shelf, and knives in the knife stand on the right. To raise and lower the upper basket, pull out the upper basket when it is empty. Turn the basket catch at the end of both runners outward, grip the upper basket with both hands, pull it out, and move it to the desired position. Finally, turn the basket catch back in at the end of both guides.
- Page 13: Loading the dishwasher involves placing plates, side plates, serving dishes, pots, and cutlery in the lower basket. The adjustable plate supports can be modified to accommodate different dish sizes. To adjust the plate supports, push them inward before repositioning. The plate supports can be folded down to facilitate loading pots and bowls.
- Page 14: Loading the dishwasher The dishwasher's two adaptable power zones can be opened in two different positions or turned off. Leave the power zones open if you want an increased water flow where you have placed pots and pans or vases and slim items. Turn the dishwasher's power zones off if you want greater spray pressure in the lower spray arm. Buy a vase and bottle holder. This accessory is available where you bought the dishwasher. You can adjust the lower basket for plates with a diameter of 9 3/4-15 1/3 (25-39 cm) by moving the adjustable plate supports and their fixtures to increase the distance between the tine rows.
- Page 15: Loading the dishwasher Buy a wine glass shelf with space for six tall wine glasses. The wine glass shelf is designed to ensure optimal washing and drying results with tall wine glasses. Place cutlery with the handles facing down, except for knives, and spread them out as much as possible. Ensure that spoons do not stack inside each other. The cutlery basket is best placed in the middle at the front of the lower basket to best utilize dishwashing performance from the unique spray zone intended for the cutlery basket. Knives and other pointed items must be placed horizontally in the dishwasher's special cutlery baskets. The cutlery basket has a fold-down section in the middle for small items or small shafts (such as electric whisk attachments).
- Page 16: Loading the dishwasher is essential for efficient cleaning. A typical load is recommended for daily, regular, or typical use. The upper basket is designed for specific items. The lower basket accommodates larger items. The dishwasher has a capacity of 16 place settings.
- Page 17: Using the dishwasher Add detergent Follow the instructions on the detergent packaging. Too much detergent can result in less effective dishwashing and lead to greater environmental impact. The detergent compartment must be dry when adding detergent. Use only dishwasher detergent. Liquid hand-washing detergent must not be used as the foam that forms prevents the dishwasher from operating effectively. There are many types of all-in-one detergents on the market. Read through the directions for these products carefully. Activate the TAB setting when using an all-in-one detergent that contains rinse aid. Dishwasher tablets are not recommended for short programs (less than 75 minutes). Use powder or liquid dishwasher detergent instead. Optimal washing and drying results are achieved by using normal dishwasher detergent together with separately dispensed rinse aid.
- Page 18: Using the dishwasher Open the door and press the On/Off button. Also turn on the water supply valve if it is turned off. Select a program to suit the type of dishes and how dirty they are. Normal: This program is recommended for daily use to wash normally soiled dishes. Light: An effective program for slightly dried leftovers. Intensive: A program with a high temperature for dissolving grease on heavily soiled dishes. Quick: A fast program for slightly dried leftovers. The Auto door open option is important for ensuring the best drying results. The program adapts to the specified running time or finish time. Press to set the desired program time. When combined with Speed, the program is shortened to 60 minutes.
- Page 19: Using the dishwasher Sanitize program is recommended for baby bottles and cutting boards when additional sanitation is required. Rinse and hold is used to rinse dishes while waiting for the dishwasher to become fully loaded. Self-cleaning program sanitizes the dishwasher tub, spray arms, and spray pipes. Anti-odor program prevents bad odors from dirty dishes left in the dishwasher. Select program mode to scroll through the available program modes. Speed option shortens program time but uses more energy. Night option lowers noise level during the dishwashing program and extends program time. Heat boost option increases temperature to dissolve grease on very dirty dishes. Auto door open feature improves drying results by automatically opening the dishwasher door. The drying time of the Auto door open option varies depending on the model, program, and temperature of the final rinse.
- Page 20: Using the dishwasher For the best drying results, do not close the door before the drying phase has finished. The dishwasher door must not be blocked or closed when opened automatically. When you select Delayed start, the dishwasher will start 1-24 hours after you have pressed closed the door. Press once to activate Delayed start. If you want to cancel the Delayed start option, open the door then press and hold for three seconds. Press until the display shows Program started, close door in 4 sec. If the dishwasher is not started or the door is not closed within 2 minutes, the machine switches off. If you want to change the program after starting the dishwasher, open the door then press and hold for three seconds. Add more detergent if the lid of the detergent dispenser has opened. Once you have chosen a program, the time the program took when last used is displayed.
- Page 21: Using the dishwasher The status light at the bottom on the dishwasher provides information by means of 3 different colors. Blue - Load more: The program has started, but you can still load more dishes. Red - Do not load: You should not load more dishes (can result in poor dishwashing). A flashing light indicates that the door has been opened while a program is in progress. Green - Unload: The dishwashing program is finished. The status light stays on for 30 minutes. If you want to load more dishes, open the door. The dishwasher stops automatically. If the door is open, Program paused is shown on the display. If the dishwasher is turned off due to a power failure when a dishwashing program is running, the program continues when power is restored. The end of the program is indicated by one short signal from the buzzer.
- Page 22: Using the dishwasher Once the dishwasher door is opened and the program has finished, Program done appears on the display. The dishwasher switches off automatically after the program ends. To minimize the risk of leaks, we recommend that you turn off the water supply valve if away from home for an extended period of time. The best drying results Fully load the dishwasher. Angle dishes with hollows, such as cups, so that the rinse water will run off. Fill up the rinse aid compartment or increase the rinse aid dosage setting. Activate the Auto door open option. Allow the dishes to cool before unloading the dishwasher. Unload the lower basket first to avoid any water drops from the upper basket falling onto the dishes in the lower basket.
- Page 23: Program mode Consumption values Hot water Cold water Dishwashing energy Water consumption The energy label performance figures are based on this program. This program is recommended for daily, regular or typical use to completely wash a full load of normally soiled dishes. Connection to cold water, approx. 50 °F (10 °C). Connection to hot water, approx. 120 °F (50 °C).

To temporarily deactivate or activate the automatic child lock, press and hold specific buttons for three seconds. You can adjust the display settings, including hiding the logotype and adjusting the contrast. A beep confirms that the control panel has been pressed. The buzzer indicates when a dishwashing program has ended, while error messages are indicated by a loud buzzer. The rinse aid dosage can be adjusted between 0 (Off) and 5 (High dosage). Increase the rinse aid dosage if dishes have water marks. Reduce the rinse aid dosage as necessary.
- Page 25: Settings for dishwashing include options for addressing issues like sticky film and streaks on dishes. Heavy foaming can occur with very soft water, and rinse aid can be diluted. The TAB setting activates when using an all-in-one detergent that contains rinse aid, reducing the rinse aid dosage. The Super rinse function rinses dishes an extra two times, extending program time and increasing energy and water usage. Odor control can be activated to manage smells during the wash cycle. Failure readout provides error messages that may be needed when contacting customer care. Factory reset restores all settings to factory defaults. To exit the settings menu, select Exit and confirm.
- Page 26: Care and maintenance instructions Add rinse aid Clean the filters The coarse filter traps larger food particles, which cannot get past the drain pump. Empty the coarse filter when necessary. The fine filter collects debris that is automatically rinsed away during each wash. Clean the fine filter when necessary. Lift the coarse filter by the handle to empty it. Turn the lock ring counterclockwise to lift the fine filter straight up. Refit the coarse filter and press it down until it clicks into place.
- Page 27: Care and maintenance instructions Dishwashing results may be affected if the coarse and fine filters are incorrectly fitted. The dishwasher must not be used without the filters in place. Check that the yellow drain pump stop is in place. Cleaning the spray arms Holes and bearings can become blocked. Remove debris using a needle or similar item. The spray arms have holes on the bottom. Spray arms can be removed for cleaning. Remember to put them firmly back into place afterward. Pull out the top cutlery tray. Push up on the top spray arm while turning it counterclockwise to release it.
- Page 28: Care and maintenance instructions Pull out the upper basket. Unscrew the spray arm bearings counterclockwise to remove the spray arm from the upper basket. Pull the lower spray arm straight up to release it. Open the door. Clean the sides of the door and the door seal regularly with a slightly damp cloth. Clean the door seal at the lower front edge of the dishwasher with a cleaning brush. Keep the control panel clean. If necessary, wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Never use cleaning products – they may scratch the surface. The dishwasher tub is made of stainless steel and is kept clean through normal use. If you have hard water, limescale deposits may build up in the dishwasher. Run the Self-cleaning program with two tablespoons of citric acid in the detergent compartment. Never use anti-freeze, Draino®, CLR®, or other chemical cleaners.
- Page 29: Care and maintenance instructions Unblocking the drain pump If the dishwasher still contains water after the program has finished, something may be blocking the drain pump. Turn off the machine and remove the plug from the power outlet. Remove the coarse filter and the fine filter. Scoop out the water from the dishwasher tub. Inspect the drain pump by removing the yellow drain pump stop. Turn the pump wheel located behind the drain pump stop by hand and remove any sharp items. Reinstall the drain pump stop along with the fine and coarse filters. Store the dishwasher above freezing and avoid long transport distances in very cold weather. Transport the dishwasher upright or laying on its back. Before transporting or prolonged storage, water must first be drained from the machine.

- Page 31: Troubleshooting The control panel does not react. Possible causes include pressing the control panel too soon after opening the door, activation of the child lock, or dirt on the control panel. The door is closed; the control panel only reacts when the door is open. To clean the control panel, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Cannot close door due to incorrectly positioned baskets or dishes blocking the baskets. Check that the baskets are positioned horizontally and not obstructed. The door lock does not click into place and lock. To troubleshoot the door lock, open the door and follow specific steps to reset it. Ensure the door lock clicks into place and locks after following the reset procedure.
- Page 32: Troubleshooting The dishwasher does not start. Possible causes include the start button not being pressed, the door not being closed properly, or the door lock not clicking into place. To start the dishwasher, press the start button until the display shows Program started, close door in 4 sec. If the door is opened to add more dishes during a program, press the start button and close the door within four seconds to continue. Check the door lock to ensure it clicks into place and locks. If the door lock has not clicked, open the door, press and hold the appropriate buttons until the display starts flashing, then close the door. Check whether the Delayed start option has been selected and cancel it if necessary. Ensure the plug is plugged into the power outlet. Check if a fuse or circuit breaker has tripped.
- Page 33: Troubleshooting The dishes are not clean. Possible causes include the spray arms not rotating, blocked spray arm holes or bearings, unsuitable dishwashing program, incorrect detergent dosage, old detergent, and incorrect loading of dishes. Check that the dishes are not blocking the spray arms and clean the spray arms. Select a program with a high temperature to dissolve grease on heavily soiled dishes. Dose detergent according to water hardness, as too much or too little can result in poor dishwashing results. Load dishes securely to prevent glasses and cups from toppling over during the program. Clean the coarse and fine filters if they are clogged. Ensure that the filters are fitted correctly. Check that the yellow drain pump stop is in place. Rinse off certain types of food immediately to avoid spots on stainless steel.
- Page 34: Troubleshooting Spots or films on the dishes may be caused by incorrect rinse aid dosage settings. Refer to the chapter on Settings for guidance. The TAB setting may be activated, which can lead to insufficient drying effects. Deactivate the TAB setting and fill up with separate rinse aid. Too high temperature and/or too much detergent can cause etching on crystal, which cannot be repaired. Wash crystal at a low temperature with a conservative amount of detergent. A sticky white/blue film on dishes may indicate that the rinse aid dosage setting is too high. Reduce the dosage and consider diluting the rinse aid if you have very soft water. Spots left after washing can be due to difficult stains like lipstick and tea/coffee. Use a detergent with a bleaching agent for better results. Detergent residue in the detergent compartment may occur if it was damp when adding detergent. Ensure the compartment is dry before use. The detergent compartment may be blocked, preventing it from opening. Check that dishes are not obstructing it. A rattling sound during dishwashing may indicate that dishes are not correctly placed or that the spray arms are not rotating. Ensure dishes are secured and check the spray arms. If Program paused is displayed, it may be due to the dishwasher door being opened during a program. Close the door within four seconds to continue the program. To cancel the dishwashing program, press and hold the appropriate button for three seconds.
- Page 35: Troubleshooting Water remains in the dishwasher The filters are clogged. Check that the filters are fitted correctly. Debris in the drain pump. Clean the drain pump. Kink in drain hose. Check that the hose is free from kinks and sharp bends. Bad odor in dishwasher. Clean with dish brush and low foaming cleaner. Low temperature programs have been selected for a prolonged period. Run a program with a high temperature once or twice a month. The dishwasher is connected to a garbage disposer. Cleaning the garbage disposer connected to the dishwasher can eliminate odors. Grease deposits in the dishwasher. Select a program with a high temperature to dissolve grease on heavily soiled dishes.
- Page 36: Troubleshooting The dishes are not dry enough. Possible causes include the Auto door open option not being activated, the dishwasher not being fully loaded, rinse aid needs filling up or dosage is set too low, and the TAB setting is activated with insufficient drying effect. Actions include activating the Auto door open option, fully loading the dishwasher, filling up the rinse aid compartment or increasing the rinse aid dosage setting, switching all-in-one detergents or deactivating the TAB setting and filling up with separate rinse aid. Refer to the Rinse aid section in the Settings chapter.
- Page 37: Installation instructions should be read and followed carefully. Conduct installation and connection according to separate installation instructions. Remove lock nuts for an installed height of 33 13/16'' (859 mm). Fit the trim kit if a width of 24'' (609 mm) is required. Connections to electricity, water, and drainage must be performed by a qualified professional. Always follow applicable regulations for water, drainage, and electricity. Wear protective gloves during installation and ensure two people are present. Place a drip tray beneath the dishwasher to prevent damage from leaks. The electrical and water supplies should enter through the area indicated by the shading on the illustration. Make sure the area on which the dishwasher is to be installed is firm. Adjust the adjustable feet so that the dishwasher is level. Tighten the lock nuts. If the dishwasher is built-in, the surrounding furnishings must be resistant to any condensation from the dishwasher. Mount the protective film beneath the countertop and up around the edge to protect the countertop from moisture. Check that the machine is installed such that the door opens freely, otherwise door lock functionality may be disrupted. Framed cabinets require additional finished filler material behind the face frame for a proper installation.
- Page 39: Installation instructions The drain hose can also be connected to a connection nipple on the sink unit's water trap. The drain hose may be extended by a maximum of 87 (2.2 m). No part of the drain hose may be more than 37 3/8'' (950 mm) above the bottom of the dishwasher. Attach the drain hose with a hose clamp. Ensure that the drain hose has no kinks. Use only the inlet hose supplied with the dishwasher. The supply pipe must be fitted with a water supply valve. The machine can be connected to either a cold or a hot water supply. Connect the dishwasher to the cold water supply if the building is heated using oil, electricity, or gas. Connect the dishwasher to the hot water supply if the building is heated using an energy-efficient means. Information about the electrical connection can be found on the serial number plate.
