4. Remove any dirt or other remains from the filters,
and then rinse them under running water.
with a damp cloth. Use a brush to clean the opening
in the end of the gasket.
Cleaning the air gap
If there is an air gap installed with your dishwasher,
make sure it is clean so the dishwasher will drain
properly. Air gap is not part of your dishwasher.
Before you clean the air gap, turn off the dishwasher,
then remove the plastic air gap cover and clean with a
toothpick.
5. Reassemble the filters in the reverse order of the
disassembly, replace the filter insert, and turn
clockwise to the close arrow.
Protecting your dishwasher for long periods
Your dishwasher should be protected from freezing
if you plan to leave it for extended periods in an
unheated place. Have a qualified person do the
following:
To disconnect service:
1. Turn off the electrical power to the dishwasher
at the supply source by moving fuses or tripping
circuit breaker.
2. Turn off the water supply.
3. Place a pan under the inlet valve, then disconnect
water line from the inlet valve and drain it into a
pan.
If the filter insert is not closed
properly, its performance will be decreased.
CAUTION!
4. Disconnect drain line and drain the water into a
pan.
To restore service:
Cleaning the spray arms
If your dishwasher does not seem to be cleaning
adequately or the spray arms seem clogged, you can
clean each of the spray arms. When removing the
spray arms, take care as they may break.
1. Reconnect the water, drain, and electrical power.
2. Turn on water and electrical power supply.
3. Fill the detergent cup and the rinse aid cup and
run the dishwasher through a heated-wash cycle.
4. Check all connections to make sure they do not
leak.
Lower spray arm
1. Check whether the spray
arm holes are clogged by
food particles.
2. If cleaning is needed,
remove the spray arm by
pulling it upwards.
3. Clean the spray arm and
then push it back into
place.
4. Check whether the spray
arm is engaged correctly
by turning it by hand.
External cleaning
• Clean the appliance with a moist soft cloth.
• Only use neutral detergents.
• Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning
pads or solvents.
Internal cleaning
• To maintain the performance of your appliance,
use a cleaning product designed specifically for
dishwashers at least once a month. Carefully
follow the instructions on the packaging of the
product.
Upper spray arm
The upper spray arm can only be cleaned together
with the upper basket. To remove the upper basket
for cleaning, refer to "Adjusting the upper basket".
• Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning
pads, sharp tools, strong chemicals, scourer or
solvents.
Cleaning the door and tub gaskets
Clean the door gasket regularly with a damp cloth to
remove food particles.
• Using short-duration Programs regularly can cause
grease and limescale buildup inside the appliance.
The inside of the dishwasher is self-cleaning under
normal use. If needed, the tub gasket can be cleaned
