Whirlpool WFO3O33PLAUS Standard Dishwasher Overview
Summary of Contents
- Page 1: Thank you for buying a Whirlpool product. Before using the appliance, carefully read safety instructions. Product description includes various components such as the upper rack, cutlery rack, foldable flaps, and spray arms. The control panel features buttons for on-off/reset, program selection, multizone, turbo, eco program, and various indicator lights. Key functions include the power clean button, tablet button, delay button, and indicators for water tap, rinse aid, and salt refill. The display shows program number and remaining time.
- Page 2: First time use involves filling the rinse aid dispenser and salt reservoir. Rinse aid makes dish drying easier and should be filled when the rinse aid refill indicator light is lit. The use of salt prevents the formation of limescale on dishes and machine components. It is mandatory that the salt reservoir is never empty. The salt reservoir must be filled when the salt refill indicator light is lit. Adjusting the dosage of rinse aid can improve drying results. The water hardness setting must be based on the actual water hardness in your house. The factory sets the default value for the water hardness. Only use salt specifically designed for dishwashers. Using detergent not designed for dishwashers may cause malfunction or damage to the appliance.
- Page 3: Eco 50° wash cycle adheres to the regulation standard AS/NZS 2007. It uses less energy and is less harmful to the environment. Pre-treatment of the dishes is not needed before any of the programs. The duration of the program shown is an estimate and may vary based on several factors. Standby consumption: Left-on mode consumption: 5 W - Off mode consumption: 0.5 W. Dishwasher detergents are strongly alkaline and can be extremely dangerous if swallowed. Fast Wash 30’ is for lightly-soiled dishes with not dried food residues. Eco is an environmentally-friendly wash cycle with low energy consumption. Silent program ensures optimal cleaning and drying performance with the lowest noise emission. 6th Sense® senses the level of soiling and adjusts the program accordingly. Sanitizing wash cycle is suitable for washing bottles, rings, and teats together with plates and cutlery.
- Page 4: Options can be selected directly by pressing the corresponding button. If an option is not compatible with the selected program, the corresponding LED flashes rapidly 3 times and beeps will sound. The MULTIZONE setting allows you to wash only specific racks to save resources. The TABLET button activates the function for combined detergents in tablet form. The start of the program may be delayed for a period of time between 0:30 and 24 hours. The TURBO option reduces the duration of the main programs while maintaining washing and drying performance levels. A long press of the TURBO button activates the KEYLOCK function, blocking the control panel except the ON/OFF button. The DRAIN OUT function can be used to stop and cancel the active cycle. NaturalDry is a convection drying system that opens the door during/after the drying phase for better performance. POWER CLEAN® provides a more intensive wash in the lower rack, recommended for pots and casseroles.
- Page 5: Loading the racks involves optimizing the arrangement of crockery inside the rack using foldable flaps. The cutlery rack is designed for easy collection and improved washing performance. Wine glasses can be safely placed in the foldable flaps. The lower rack is suitable for pots, lids, plates, and salad bowls, with tip-up supports for better arrangement. Knives and sharp utensils should be positioned with blades facing downwards. The upper rack is for delicate items like glasses and cups, with adjustable tip-up supports. Power Clean® utilizes special water jets for intensive washing of heavily soiled items. The height of the upper rack can be adjusted to accommodate bulky crockery or maximize space. Pots should be loaded vertically in the Power Clean® area, facing the water jets. It is advised not to adjust the height of the rack when loaded and to avoid raising or lowering it on one side only.
- Page 6: Daily use Check water connection The machine will switch off automatically during certain extended periods of inactivity to minimize electricity consumption. If the crockery is only lightly soiled or rinsed, reduce the amount of detergent used accordingly. Switch on the dishwasher by pressing the ON/OFF button. Load the racks as per instructions. Modify a running program if a wrong program was selected. Start the wash cycle by pressing the START/PAUSE button. The end of the wash cycle is indicated by beeps and the display shows END. Wait for a few minutes before removing the crockery to avoid burns. Collect glasses and cutlery from the dishwasher as soon as the wash cycle is over. To avoid odor and sediment, run a high temperature program at least once a month.
- Page 7: Care and maintenance Cleaning the filter assembly Regularly clean the filter assembly to prevent clogging. Check the spray arms periodically and clean them with a non-metallic brush. Using the dishwasher with clogged filters may cause malfunction and performance loss. The filter assembly consists of three filters that remove food residues. The dishwasher must not be used without filters or if the filter is loose. Check the filter assembly at least once a month or after every 30 cycles. Water softening system The water softener reduces water hardness and prevents scale buildup. Regeneration of the water softener requires refilling the salt container when empty.
- Page 8: Troubleshooting In case your dishwasher doesn’t work properly, check if the problem can be solved by going through the following list. The manufacturer ensures the availability of spare parts for at least 10 years after production date of this appliance. Salt indicator is lit. Refill reservoir with salt. Rinse aid indicator is lit. Refill dispenser with rinse aid. The dishwasher won’t start or does not respond to commands. The appliance has not been plugged in properly. The dishwasher won’t drain.
