You must fill in the water-softener manually; please use the water-softener filler hole.
Open the lid and pour the water-softener into the container; then close the lid
properly.
Setting of the water softener consumption
It is required to set the proper amount of the water softener based on the water
hardness range to optimize and customize the water softener consumption. Carry
out the setting as follows.
You can set the consumption of water softener from H1 to H6.
1. You need to get information on the local water hardness range. You can receive
all relevant information from your local water supplier.
2. You find the values for proper setting on the schedule below.
3. Switch on the appliance.
4. Press and hold the Start/Pause button within the first 60 seconds for approx. 5
seconds.
5. You can change the setting of the water hardness by pressing the Start/Pause
button. The display indicates the settings H1→H2→H3→H4→H5→H6.
6. The display goes off a few seconds after the setting has been completed. The
water hardness is saved automatically. You can also finish the setting using the
On/Off button.

4.3 Filling of the water softener container
The water softener container is below the lower dish rack.
❖ Only use a water softener (= dishwasher salt) which is suitable for dishwashers.
Other water softeners and salts, especially table salt, will damage the water
softener container.
