Dispensing systems
In addition to the internal dispensing sys-
tems, up to two additional external dispens-
ing systems (dispenser modules) can be
connected for dispensing liquid process
chemicals.
Risk to health due to
process chemicals.
Some process chemicals may be corro-
sive and irritant. Swallowing process
chemicals can cause chemical burns in
the mouth and throat or lead to asphyxia-
tion. If process chemicals get into the
eyes, they can irritate or burn them.
Observe the relevant safety regulations is-
sued by the process chemical manufac-
turers when handling process chemicals
and take all the protective measures stip-
ulated by the process chemical manufac-
turers.
Labeling of the suction wands
Liquid process chemicals from external con-
tainers are dispensed by suction wands.
Color coding the suction wands can be help-
ful for correct dispensing.
Specific types of soiling may require differ-
ent combinations of cleaning agents and
additives. Miele Customer Service will be
able to advise you.
Depending on the model, dishwashers are
equipped with multiple dispensing systems
for process chemicals:
DOS modules
In the case of dishwashers without an inter-
nal dispenser pump for liquid cleaning agent,
up to two additional, external dispenser
modules for liquid process chemicals can be
installed retrospectively.
In the case of dishwashers with an internal
dispenser pump for liquid cleaning agent,
one additional, external dispenser module
for liquid process chemicals can be con-
nected.
- Cleaning agent
Cleaning agent can be dispensed in pow-
der form, as a tab, or in liquid form. Pow-
der cleaning agent and tabs are dispensed
via the door dispenser with the symbol.
Depending on the model, liquid cleaning
agent is dispensed either via an internal
dispensing system or via an external dis-
penser module (DOS module).
- Rinsing agent
External dispenser modules can be retrofit-
ted by Miele Customer Service or by a suit-
ably qualified specialist. Internal dispensing
systems cannot be installed retrospectively.
Depending on the model, rinsing agent
can be dispensed via the door dispenser
with the symbol or via an external dis-
penser module (DOS module).
The dispenser module comes with separate
installation instructions.
External dispenser modules (DOS modules)
can be retrofitted at any time by Miele Cus-
tomer Service, provided that corresponding
DOS module connections are available.
