Opening and closing the door
Close the door.

Make sure that no objects or wash items
Depending on the model, the dishwashers
are equipped with a Comfort Door Lock with
electronic door lock or a pull-open lock.
Dishwashers with a Comfort Door Lock have
a door button on the control panel. This
button is not available on machines with a
pull-open lock.

Raise the door upward until the catch en-
gages.
Comfort Door Lock
The door of the wash cabinet is equipped
with a Comfort Door Locking Mechanism.
When the door is closed, the Comfort Door
Locking Mechanism automatically pulls the
door into the closed position and thus en-
sures it is sealed. The door is locked elec-
tronically.
The door will be drawn into its final close po-
sition if the AutoClose function is activated
(see “AutoClose”).
Opening the door using the emergency re-
lease
The emergency release may only be used
when it is no longer possible to open the
door normally, e.g., in the event of a power
failure.
For opening the door
A door that has been locked electronically
can be opened under the following circum-
stances:
Danger of scalding, burning, and
chemical burns!
If the emergency release is operated dur-
ing a program sequence, hot water and
process chemicals can escape.
Only open the door using the emergency
release when strictly necessary.
- The machine is connected to the power
supply and switched on (the LED is lit
up).
- The LED is lit.
Press the button to open the door.
The emergency release mechanism is lo-
cated on the right beside the door lock in the
gap between the door and the lid of the ma-
chine or the countertop.
There should be 3/8" (1 cm) between the
right edge of the tool and the right edge of
the display.
If the temperature in the wash cabinet ex-
ceeds 153°F (67°C), a message is shown on
the display: Hot wash cabinet: Risk of injury,
take care when opening the door..
Press the button again to open the door.
The Comfort Door Lock opens the door
slightly. The LED in the button goes out as
soon as the door is unlocked.
Press against the door to release the
emergency release mechanism.
The control panel of the machine is also a
door handle.
Grasp the handle underneath the control
panel and lower the door to open it.
