Troubleshooting
Cancel with fault code
If a program is canceled and a fault code appears, e.g., Fault F XXX (where XXX represents a
number), there could be a serious technical fault.
In the event of a program being canceled and a fault code being shown:
Turn the dishwasher off with the button.
Wait approximately 10 seconds before switching the dishwasher on again with the but-
ton.
Start the previously selected program again.
If the same fault message appears again:
Make a note of the fault message.
Turn the dishwasher off with the button.

Problem
Possible cause and solution
Fault F 404–405
If Check water intake appears on the display, the control
system is checking the water intake approx. every 30 sec-
onds. If, after three attempts, water is not getting into the
dishwasher, one of these fault codes will appear on the dis-
play and the program will be canceled.
Open the faucet all the way.
Turn the dishwasher off and back on again.
Select the program you want to use.
Press the Start/Stop button.
Fault F 407–408
Fault F 413–414
Water inlet fault.
If the flow pressure is too low, one of these fault codes will
appear on the display and the program will be canceled.
The flow pressure at the water connection is too low (see
“Technical data”). Contact Miele Customer Service for
advice.
Water inlet fault.
If the flow pressure is too high, one of these fault codes will
appear on the display and the program will be canceled.
The flow pressure at the water connection is too high
(see “Technical data”). Contact Miele Customer Service
for advice.
Fault F 433
Fault F 438
The door was obstructed when closing and cannot be
drawn into the final closed position.
Remove the obstruction from the door area.
Heavy objects in front of the machine can impede the auto-
matic opening of the door via the Comfort Door Lock.
Do not place (heavy) objects in front of the door of the
dishwasher.
